Bathroom needs a refresh. Shower drips. Bedroom fan needs adjustment. Other than that, excellent!!
Lanikai is a beautiful quiet neighborhood. Short walk to the beach. Watch out for jellyfish stings at this beach when the jellies are there, very painful. The rental penthouse was beautifully furnished and the lanai was great for catching the breeze. There is no air conditioning and the attic fan was not functioning so it was always very warm inside the unit. The overhead fans did function. The lower unit we rented wasn’t ready for us when we arrived. It was not cleaned. We were able to get ahold of the owner very quickly and she decided to let us stay in the top unit. Which we were very thankful for. There were some pest issues ( ants and roaches) but they are very common in Hawaii. Overall the unit we stayed in was very nice. Best part is the view in the evening, worst part was the heat inside the unit and the 70 steps to get to the view ( would be difficult if you were elderly, disabled or had small kids).
Perfect location in Lanikai. Close to everything but nestled in the trees above the fray with an amazing view of the Mokes. A great choice to launch adventures on the Windward side or just chill. The deck space is ideal for early morning coffee, late morning workouts, afternoon naps, sunset sips and candle lit dinners. The tastefully rustic Hawaiian decor is charming without being overdone. The beds and linens were very comfortable. The kitchen had everything needed to prepare meals. While it might not be everyone (Stairs, No A/C,…etc.) for those seeking a true Hawaiian experience it is ideal.

Fantastic location, beautiful lanai & very clean! Would definitely stay again.
Everything was perfectly organized and we loved the penthouse apartment. Amazing views of Lanikai and locations is only 5mins walking from the nicest beach in O'ahu.
During our stay in Lanikai, we were amazed at the stunning beauty of the surrounding landscape creating an atmosphere that felt like a tropical paradise. The accommodations were spacious and comfortable, making it the perfect spot to relax and soak in the breathtaking views. I would highly recommend this charming getaway for anyone looking to escape to nature‘s beauty. Mahalo

The best part of the vacation was the beach which was very close and great for swimming and just enjoying. The lower level apartment was comfortable and well appointed and close to the beach where we could watch amazing sunrises and full moon rise. The lanai was spacious and had good views. The apartment had many fans and a wall of windows to compensate for lack of cross ventilation. The

Our stay in the Viewhouse was ideal. The short walk to gorgeous Lanikai Beach was appreciated. Very comfortable stay with many amenities. Would definitely return!
This is my second time staying here with my wife-- this time with our young daughter. Perfect place to get away from the tourist y crowds and just a brief 4-minute walk to the sand. The ocean view on the balcony is lovely and will make you want to stay in to make breakfast everyday

Quiet beautiful neighborhood, 5min walk to Lanikai beach.
Great being in Lanakai, we’ve wanted to stay down there for some time.
The unit itself is a little tired. Sliding screen door requires finesse, towel rack in bathroom falling off, etc.
Kitchen is sparsely stocked - no salad spinner, cheese grater and the knives seem not to have been sharpened for some time.
View from the bottom level is now more overgrown since the pictures were taken, very limited view from the deck.
While it’s true there are bikes, they are in disrepair. We did manage to find two that we could make work, and then discovered there was no bike lock. The owner acknowledged that she needs to buy one and replace the bikes. (We ended up buying a lock at Target so we could use the bikes, and left it there for future guests.)
Finally, if the space above you is rented, be prepared to hear every footstep they take.
Nice as Lanakai is, I can’t recommend this unit and wouldn’t stay again.
We really enjoyed the Viewhouse and all it had to offer! The balcony views were unreal and we spent lots of time there. It was great to have access to beach items and laundry as we used both several times! The location to the beach was really lovely and restaurants/stores were a quick 10-15 minute drive away. Would stay here again!

Great place! Lovely view, easy walk to the beach, and lots of beach equipment/toys to use during the stay. Heads up if you have little kids - there are quite a lot of stairs to get up to the house, we were doing a lot of carrying. The view from up top was totally worth it, though! Would stay again.
My hubby and I stayed in Lanikai for the first half of our trip to Oahu. The location exactly met our needs and expectations. The second half we stayed at a famous resort on the other side of the island. The Viewhouse at Lanikai was much better! We loved the Viewhouse, the beach, the locals, the town, etc. Highly recommend is you have a vehicle and want to stay in a low key, relaxing, and friendly area.

Great location and views, walkable distance from the beach, beach chairs and umbrellas provided. Definitively a great choice if you want to be away from the noise.
