Property was great as shown in photos, easy parking, gorgeous views, great outside areas on balcony and property, fully stocked for anything you could need..including beach & snorkle plans, strong air conditioner, close walk to great spots, and easy ride down the road to beaches!

This was our first time in Kona, and we could not have been more pleased with this condo. Very easy to walk to all shops and restaurants. Enjoyed the balcony listening to the waves and watching sunsets. The unit was very clean and well was great to have a washer/dryer and all the of beach amenities. The description was very accurate. The property management team had great communication. We stayed during the Tsunami warning, and they were in constant contact with us. We enjoyed the pool and loved having a place to park without extra charge. I would highly recommend this place and would love to come stay again.

Conveniently located, walking distance to restaurants, markets, and shops. Also walking to small sandy beach right next door. Great balcony to watch surfers, boats, sunset, eating and lounging. We also enjoyed trying out the snorkel gear provided!
Great stay at the property! Everything was as expected per the listing. I wasn't sure how walkable it would be to restaurants/shops, but it was very easy - less than 1/2 mile walk. Traffic and parking in town are a bit of a hassle, so we appreciated being able to walk there. I was a bit surprised by the additional insurance fee they charged upon booking, as I have not encountered that with other property managers. And the contract we had to sign was ridiculously long! I felt we were treated with the expectation that we would ruin their property with all the rules and signatures required in the contract. That said, we had a great stay and enjoyed the accommodation.
We had a great 5 day stay at this condo. The location of the property was walking distance to all sorts of restaurants. We also snuck in a couple of 4 mile runs. We will definitely be back.
We had a great stay. Worked a couple of hours from the Lani and then called it a day. Staying in the unit helped us envision a future on the island. Unit was clean, well stocked, and a great location. Within walking distance of local shops and restaurants. Great space for a couple..glad we did not invite a kid or two!
We wanted to do a mix of nature/outdoor stuff and relaxing reading a book/playing a video game, and this place was in the perfect location. Close enough to town to walk anywhere/eat anywhere. Far enough away that you're not hearing the bars from your own balcony. Super private balcony that is RIGHT on the ocean for the perfect white noise. I also dried a lot of my laundry out there and nothing was blown at all. We took advantage of the stocked water sports cupboard and the blender! We love having a place to cook and everything was easy to use and worked very well.

Great location, easy walk to shop and eat. Very clean with all you need in the kitchen. Also, lots of items for the beach and activities. Great ocean view and you can hear the waves and watch the sunsets. Good pool area, plenty of comfortable loungers. Would stay here again!

We loved this vacation rental! It was clean and comfortable and the location could not be beat! We were able to walk to Kailua and there was a cute beach right next door. The lanai was absolutely amazing for watching the sunset every day. Highly recommend this rental! The management company was so easy to work with and had great communication. This was a return stay at a lovely property. Our primary goal in booking a condo is ocean access and this property has a wonderful beach within walking distance. Second goal is a condo that is clean and comfortable. This condo is spotless! Incredible view, very quiet, easy parking, easy walk to town. And we VERY MUCH appreciated the beach chairs! Thank you for a lovely weekend!

This was our first visit to the Big Island. Our unit was perfect. We watched surfers every morning and afternoon from the lanai which had a totally unobstructed view of the water. Unit was spotless and so beautifully furnished, everything just as advertised. We will certainly be back.

This unit was amazing. Super clean, beautiful view from a big oceanfront lanai, great amenities and great location. My wife and I were totally impressed with the property as a whole. All the shops and restaurants on Ali'i Drive (downtown Kona) were within walking distance from the Kona Reef property so if you have a rental car during your stay there is no need to pay for parking downtown. The beach amenities were also a pleasant surprise, we definitely took advantage of the beach chairs when going to places like Kua Bay beach (highly recommend, go early!).

We were very comfortable, the one bedroom was perfect. The condo was clean and spacious. The kitchen was well equipped with pots, pans and silverware. The ocean view was spectacular. We enjoyed breakfast and lunch on the lanai. We also had afternoon naps on chaise lounges. Customer service was excellent, they found my sunglasses, notified me and made arrangements for their return. The proximity to Kona was good. Overall this condo D-26 made for a great vacation. I would recommend it as a 10 out of 10.
I love it when you book something through Monday, but they only except the booking until Sunday and then don’t tell you. And then they’re so lovely that they kick you out on the day before your flight. And it’s so much fun having no place to stay for one night. And then when you call and contact them, nobody calls you back or tells you when they do give you a short text to find a hotel. So I don’t know if it’s the property manager that accepted it only for their dates and not telling us that they were a day short. Or if it was VBRO. But one of them made a boo-boo and didn’t tell us and it was not a fun experience . The worst part is the property manager made no attempt to make it right they just kick us out kind of rude actually so thanks for that. when I did find out, I had a place at a hotel. The hotel manager did tell me that that’s a very common thing with the property managers in Hawaii where at least in Kona. so if you’re in Kona, you better stick with a hotel they can at least be trusted.
Condo was perfect for 2 people. It was stocked with everything we needed. Didn't do any cooking but did enjoy morning coffee and evening wine on lanai. Good location - very walkable to all shops and restaurants. Property management accessible for the one issue we had. Would definitely rent that unit again.
The location of this condo is great! We could easily walk to town and several restaurants. The lanai was perfect with amazing views. The only issue we had was the toaster-it wouldn’t engage down. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Would recommend this condo for a quiet relaxing vacation!
Nice unit. Clean except some ants around sink. Manager responded promptly and advised spray and traps located under sink which I could use. Also I arrived after dark and security lighting not working outside entrance so couldn’t see keypad buttons to enter until I retrieved flashlight. Being on vacation I’m not use to having to follow checkout instructions that lessen the housekeeper’s duties. I’m a neat person but and travel a lot but seemed more than average for the price. Otherwise quite comfortable with walking distance < 1 mile to shops and Restaurants. Lots of beach gear available to use along with a lending library. Probably would look toward other options if I was to return as price comparable to some hotels.
Loved the 3rd floor view of the ocean. It was a perfect location just 4 minute walk into town. Nothing to complain about at all. I would definitely stay here again.
The little condo is ocean front, and we saw whales jumping everythime we enjoyed the lanai. Even though we had a car, we were able to walk to Kailua Kona for dinner every night in about 12 minutes. I recommend.

We enjoyed every minute of our 11 day stay. It has been nicely updated. The lounges on the lanai were a nice plus. This unit is an easy walking distance to the shops and restaurants of Kailua. The ONLY downfall was the old washer/dryer unit. Time for the owners to replace the noisy old thing. If you have mobility issues, be aware that the elevator is 1/2 floor off from the units in the building. We would love to return to Kona Reef D-26.

We stayed in Kona Reef condominiums’ complex for the second time and will be back here again! This is an amazing place you would stay on the island. It’s only 5 min walk to Kona Town and it’s next to the little Honl’s beach where you can relax on the send listening to the surf and tropical birds. Unit#D26 is very clean and has everything for your happy stay and joyful vacation: the comfortable King size bed, kitchenware, washer/drier, AC and the balcony with spectacular view! Oh, the balcony is probably the best part of the condo I would stay all day and night ) The sunsets were stunning and picturesque. We loved to observe starts and a full moon on the night sky. At mornings we enjoyed watching tropical yellow fishes in the curling turquoise waves, dolphins and whales! Yes, you may see whales just from the balcony during this time of the year. Overall, this cozy oceanfront condo is the great place to stay.It’s only one thing I would recommend the owner is to add more decorations in the leaving room to make it more fashionable. However, it didn’t bother me at all because we came to be pleased by natural wonder of Island of Hawai’i. Mahalo!
