This unit is sublimely located. The view is everything one wants when planning a HI trip. Pool in complex is nice, with an adjacent hot tub and grill area. It is located a mile or so out of downtown Kona, so near to but not stuck in the middle of things. It is nice to have full kitchen and bathroom is decent. A couple or parents with 1-2 kids would have a fabulous time using this as a home base for exploring the big island.Some of my favorite memories of my whole trip at sitting on the lanai in the morning watching boats,outriggers, swimmers, etc go by in the distance. One day I even saw a a group of dolphins. Sunsets are magical too.

View and shower were amazing. TVs should not need pages in a binder to figure out. Also, what good are instructions in a binder for getting into the apartment if you can't get into the apartment and the company's preferred texting communication is worthless? Thank goodness for the phone representative AND the property manager. Place only 1 keypad or lockbox on door and make sure they work. Also, dust the closet and leave room for hanging. Clean your floor fans, dust TV areas and closet floor. The beds were amazingly UNCOMFORTABLE! But the view and shower helped distract the inconveniences with being locked out and dust.

The condo was exactly as pictured and exceeded our expectations: clean, abundant linens, equipped with laundry and kitchen cleaning essentials. The pantry had some supplies; check in before going shopping. King bed was comfortable with additional bedding. AC units in bedroom and living room have their own thermostats and were quiet. Ceiling fans were helpful. Uninterrupted view of the ocean and sunset were breathtaking. Weird quirk: the front door lacks a door knob—awkward to open and close. We were glad we brought a bluetooth speaker to hook up to the TV so we could hear it.The Vacasa support was helpful when the pool key was not where the instructions said it would be, but they helped us find it fairly quickly. About Kona Reef and the immediate area around it are worth noting. The pool at Kona Reef was overall nice, though be careful about the slopes at the sides of the pool and especially on the seats in the jacuzzi. It is easy to slip and bonk your head on the side of the jacuzzi if you aren’t careful. BBQs are typically available. Also, next door is the foundation of what appears to be a dismantled condo complex that appears a bit sketchy. Kona Reef is also rather close to the shopping/bars/restaurants just up the road. Very convenient.For the price point, we were very happy with our experience and would highly recommend renting this condo. We would stay here again.

We had trouble getting in because we were given the code for the door rather than for the lockbox attached to the screen. Had to call and ask for the lockbox code to lock up after our stay. But the people were helpful and easy to contact. The washing machine is very loud but it works well.

Great spot. Great location. Walking distance to everything. Also great location for runners. Beautiful view. Nice pool. Never had a problem finding loungers. Highly recommend.

We loved this place. The patio faces the ocean just feet away with a great view. Beaches and downtown are in walking distance. The condo has everything we needed. We would stay here again.

The property was as described and meet my expectations. The waterfront location was very nice, I enjoyed watching and listening to the ocean during my entire stay. I would stay here again. The combination for the lock provided was for the actual doorknob lock assembly.

Great location, lots of shops and restaurant around. Could use a little dusting, the headboard, and the curtain was so dusty.

As advertised. Ocean is only 25 yards from the ground floor porch. Though the unit is old it was very clean. Overhead light in living area pull chain was broken so no light. Location is great. I would stay again

We loved our proximity to the ocean, but wish it was a bit safer to leave the sliders open at night so we could hear the ocean in the back bedroom better. A few homeless folks had a little too much access to the area just over our wall

Perfect location for sunset and water views as well as strolling into town for shopping and eateries. I hope to stay here again in future.

This condo was clean and the owner gave easy instructions to locate and how to check in. Loved the view from the patio. We watched the sun go down from there every evening. Would definitely stay here again.

Third visit to Kona and the Kona Reef property. By far this was our favorite unit. Super clean, thoughtful layout and ample supplies. Ground floor a super plus! Parking is easy, close walk to town. Appreciate the communication with Vacasa management on check-in process and checking in on how things are going. Thank you for everything We will return!
