Great condo with a very nice beach view. Condo was very clean and comfortable. Within walking distance to downtown. Host was very responsive leading up to our stay.

This condo AND host Kathy were simply amazing!! The décor screams “welcome to Hawaii, sit back and relax”! Kitchen: everything you need!! I did appreciate the extra trash bags, dish soap and scrubbers. Note…I didn’t know this beforehand, but no plastic bags are used on the island. There was a box of bags on top of the dryer (I left the ones I bought). There was a spice rack and salt/pepper available which just added another convenience when preparing our own meals.Washer/Dryer: Soap/dryer sheets provided. Cabinet next to Washer: sunscreen/lotion/first aid kit/Kleenex offered. I didn’t need them, but it was appreciated.Bathroom: Shampoo/conditioner/body wash offered. There were a few rolls of toilet paper to start with, which was appreciated. “Living space” was more than enough for just the two of us. Super comfy couch. We typically ate our food at the dining table on the Lanai which was great! There were books/games/cards to use which was thoughtful.Lanai: The rocking chairs are wonderful! It was great being able to watch the local boogie boarders ride the waves and the early morning Yoga classes on the beach. There are chairs/umbrella/cooler/water noodles/snorkel gear. Renting snorkel gear was 125 wk for 2.If this host has another vacation property, I will rent from them without question!! Tip: Arrive, settle in, BEFORE going to the store to purchase items. Trust me, this will save you some time & money.

If watching the big waves and walking to favorite spots is your jam, this condo is for you. We were perfectly comfortable here, with its classy furnishings and comfy bed. The deck was a favorite spot for hanging out watching the surfers. If you want socializing, the pool and deck area seemed to be the spot for condo residents to gather at sunset. Owner Kathy was available night or day to answer questions. Highly recommend this rental .
Perfect location with a small sandy beach next door. Short walk to town and restaurants. We’ll definitely be back!
This was such a wonderful home for our vacation and exploration of Big Island. Was a shirt drive to scuba docks, snorkeling beaches, etc and then a short walk into town for delicious food and drinks!The community of residents are nice, clean, and friendly if your enjoying the pool or beach. Kathy’s condo was ideal for our vacation. I have to agree with other reviews that blackout blinds in the bedroom would be great, as the outside lights do light up the room. That aside, this is the best place in the area. It’s close enough for an easy walk to restaurants, and it’s right on a fun little beach. I went from standing in the waves to swimming in the pool to totally relaxing in the hot tub. We had a lot of active days, and we usually chose easy prep/deli foods for dinner as sitting on our lanai listening to the waves was the perfect way to spend our evenings. The condo was super clean when we arrived; the furniture is all very comfortable, and everything we needed to spend time at the beach was available (chairs, coolers, snorkeling gear, towels.) The pool/bbq/common area is spacious and well-kept. I had a few questions in my planning and while we were there, and Kathy always responded promptly. If we ever return to the Big Island, we’ll definitely stay here. Thanks Kathy!
We had a great time staying in this lovely condo. Lanai opens to a nice beach view from where you’ll hear the gentle waves. Everything was nice and tidy, well stocked and prepared.
Communication was a breeze too. We loved every part of our stay!

We had a wonderful stay at this beachfront condo. It’s well stocked with everything you need for cooking and for beach trips. The ocean view from the deck is lovely and we watched sunset most nights from the pool area and then walked to dinner in town. You can swim at the beach next door which is an added bonus. Kathy was prompt in communication with us and helped right away when we couldn’t get into the unit after arrival. Highly recommend!!
Kathy’s condo was cool, comfy and clean and provided my daughter and I everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The pool and spa located on the beach were absolutely wonderful! The folks that we met at the resort were all friendly and Kathy was extremely accommodating! Great stay!
Property was in great shape 👌 when we arrived. Walking distance to town. View was AWSOME!! Beach was swimable.🏊♂️ Just had to watch water entry.

Beautiful location off smaller beach, fun to watch surfers and visitors every morning. Smaller set up inside condo but perfect for a couple. Bed was comfortable but windows above bed had lights that were pretty bright at night. We ended up not having toilet paper or paper towels stoked so had to grab ourselves from the store. Close walking distance to several shopping area’s and restaurants. Overall we had a good stay.

The Honl’s Beach next door was a real plus! You can see it from the lanai and they had “drop in” yoga there every morning at 8 am. Kathy has beach chairs for your use. The pool and hot tub were great also as I did my laps every day. Being able to walk around Kailua Kona was a plus for shopping and eating and I would definitely recommend Lava-Java and the historic Kona Inn for dinner! Kathy was very accommodating and easy to communicate with!
This unit overlooks a small but very popular beach, great to sip coffee in the morning and watch body boarders and surfers, people watch, then since is just on the south end of Kialua-Kona easy to walk all over town and hit restaurants, water activities. One afternoon we watched a pod of spinner dolphins for about 15 minutes. The sunsets were great and sometimes you can see the “green flash” that occurs in tropical areas just as the sun goes down. The owner responded within a couple of minutes to our few questions. The unit here has the best view with beach access of any place in Kialua-Kona. Other larger hotels look down on rocky surf but no good way to dip your toes in the ocean.
Enjoyed our stay. Perfect location to walking shops and dining. Condo had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Highly recommend.
We had an amazing stay at Kathy’s place in Kona Reef. The house is well taken care of and extremely well equipped - the beach equipment was our particular fave.
The location is absolutely perfect and we spent many hours just sitting on the balcony watching whales jump in the ocean.
Kathy was an extremely responsive and accommodating host. I’d recommend anyone book this place and we’ll definitely be back!

Pros:
Kathy’s property is well represented in her listing. The place was very clean and nicely maintained. We were very comfortable here. Kathy is very responsive and always willing to go the extra mile for your requests. The pool area is clean and comfortable with a nice view. You have the choice of sitting in the pool area or out front on the oceanfront. A lot of good conversations were had there. It’s an easy wall to the downtown
Cons:
The street noise can be heard from the unit. The walkway is right behind the bedroom and can be disturbing, although most of the guests were fairly quiet it could be a problem if you have disrespectful renters.
A very beautiful condo with beautiful and amazing views of the ocean did i mention ocean front veiw excellent location walkable distance to restaurants and local entertainment i give Kona Reef Condo 10 out of 10 making a return to this location had made my decision easier ....Thanks Cathy
The owner has done a great job of decorating the condo and lots of amenities like beach chairs, boogie boards, etc. While a few drawbacks like no A/C in bedroom (we were fine with fan but imagine it is very hot in summer) and some difficulty with small and limited parking slots, overall a great place and great value.

I wanted location on a beach and ocean view. This property has both, as advertised. Having breakfast on the balcony was a wonderful experience.
On the downside, the bedroom has small inoperable windows, high up by the ceilimg. Since the only air conditioner is in the living room, the small bedroom with a ceiling fan became warm and stuffy on the hot days we were there. The furnishings need updating.
The owner responds to emails promptly.
