Amazing location. The balcony set up was so comfortable and the location is close to the pool without it being loud.
This was our sevens stay here and we really appreciate the view and the location to town. The unit is clean and well stocked. We looked forward to returning all year and now we are sad we had to leave this place. LOVE IT!
The view is fantastic! Nice clean condo. Close to town. Lots of fun stuff to use such as chairs umbrella, snorkle gear. Kitchen well stocked. Did not use pool, but looked nice. BBQs which we used a lot. Stayed at Kona Reef before and will stay again. Can’t beat location and price!
We have stayed at Kona Reef a few times. Love the location and close proximity to restaurants and shopping. Love the lanai. Unit itself needs updating. Air conditioner is old and very loud. It was not as clean as other units we have stayed in.
We totally enjoyed the stay at the condo on the beach but neighbors inconsiderate allowing doors to slam loudly and talking loudly early in the morning.
As advertised it was on the Ocean with a great view and big pool.
We liked the location. The price was right. Many necessities plus more were provided. Some quality updates and decor could make this very basic condo so much nicer. We enjoyed our stay.
We are just getting ready to checkout and sad to leave. We enjoyed the property very much. Comfy bed, nice furnishings inside and out and all the kitchen amenities you need. Also, a very short walk from all kinds of restaurants. We intend to return here in the future.
This condo was clean and comfortable and the view was great.
My only suggestions would be to add a shelf for a toiletries bag in the bathroom as well as a hand towel bar as the sink/countertop is small. Also, a small dining table inside would be nice.
Need better instructions on how to use tv. Couch had to be pulled out to sit on then we could not push it back in. The condo was a great location very quiet. View was the best.

The Kona Reef has such a great proximity to downtown. We have stayed here three times now and have never had a bad stay. The condos are aging but are in great shape and have everything you need. Will be back!
We've stayed at the Kona Reef several times. The property is perfect for a quick swim and lounge by the pool. The BBQ area is comfortable and inviting. The evening sunset vigil by the residents is a lovely experience.
The one bedroom units are cozy for two. We appreciated having some spices, oils and coffee filters from other visitors stays.
In January humpbacks cruised on by. The dolphins were a little more shy and or the high surf hid their daily swim by the complex.
We love the Kona Reef. We’ve been coming for many years and find that the complex is perfect for our needs. The views are fantastic, the sound of the surf is divine and we love that the walk into town is so quick and easy.
The part of the complex the unit is in is great. The direct ocean front is of course fantastic. We also like the atrium area that’s between the buildings on this side of the complex. The trees help to keep the bedrooms cooler and it’s wonderful to wake up to birds singing.
We were impressed with our dealings with Kona Coast. I reported some maintenance issues and they had them addressed incredibly quickly. The bed was comfortable and it was clean which is always important.
This was the 7th Kona Reef unit we’ve stayed in. We very much liked that there wasn’t nearly the decorative clutter we’ve encountered in some of the units. However, it is lacking in some of the touches you tend to find in units where the owners stay in there on a regular basis. It meant that the kitchen wasn’t as well stocked as some. Hooks for things like towels & keys at the entrance would have been nice. I’m of average height and had challenges reaching some things and there’s no step ladder. These are pretty minor issues though.
I think that the only thing I didn’t like about the unit was the couch. I really didn’t like it at all. However, we spent most of our time on the lanai so it really wasn’t a problem.
Place was perfect for two. Great view of the ocean. Big Turtle in front on most mornings. Could see the spinner dolphins playing and whales every day. Everything worked great. Would stay again at same location.
