We enjoyed our stay at KMS. We appreciated a fully stocked condo. Everything we needed for our days at the beach. Dining at the Magic Sands restaurant was excellent. We would stay again.
We had a fantastic magical stay. Has everything you need and so much more (ice chests, boogie boards, beach umbrella, fully stocked kitchen, extra towels, and the lists goes on). On one side is a wonder park and the other side Magic sands beach... Thank you so much for sharing your place, we will be back!
Loved staying at Kona Magic Sands. My wife and I were lulled to sleep every night by the sound of the ocean waves. The unit was cozy, but clean, lovely, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The owners were responsive to our needs to. Plus the location was perfect - we had family staying across the street, and enjoyed how easy it was to get everywhere we wanted, both in the Kona region and other places on the Big Island. This place was everything we could ask for!
Loved the accommodations: the turquoise green and turtle motif decor was well thought out with everything we needed or wanted. The sunset views were spectacular, framed by the row of palms all right outside the window and viewed from the bed or dining table. Enjoyed the grill and private dining by the pool. The location is perfect with the beach on one side providing fun body surfing, snorkeling or just spectating and the beautiful park on the other side for yoga, exercise or whatever. The grill offered live music on the weekends and we heard the restaurant next door is excellent ( although we didn’t try it). We were happy to be away from the crowds in Kona but the drives weren’t far for exploring other beaches, snorkeling, etc. Would love to return. Highly recommend.
Our host was great to work with. The unit was stocked with everything and then some. You cannot beat this location if you're going to stay on the Kona side of the Big Island. Already planning our return trip...

The three best things about this place are:It has every supply you could need from beach chairs and beach towels to ziplock baggies!The view is phenomenal!As a person traveling alone, I felt safe the whole time.
Ocean right out your sliding door with gorgeous views, sounds of the ocean and perfect sunsets! Jan was AMAZING to communicate with and this condo has EVERYTHING you will need for your stay! We will be back!

Adorable unit. Everything we needed. Beautiful sunsets each night. Loved listening to the pounding surf (better than a sound machine). Birds in the morning. Fish feeding on the reef. Magical time.
Great ocean front unit with a beach next door. Unit included beach towels, beach chairs, ice chests, boogie board, umbrellas and snorkel equipment for use.
My husband and I find ourselves going back to Magic Sands every visit because you just can’t beat the view. Watching the beautiful sunsets from across the ocean and listening to the lullaby of waves as we fall asleep has become our favorite past time. This particular unit has air conditioning and is well maintained. We would definitely book again in the future!
I love hearing the ocean waves and watching them change colors as the sun moves through the sky. Jan is a great host--very responsive and the studio has everything you need for an outstanding holiday.
Amazing property. Location next to a great beach and unit stocked with EVERYTHING you could want. Panoramic view of the ocean directly over the water. Did I mention AMAZING!
I enjoyed my stay. Soft sheets. Fully stocked kitchen. The ocean outside my door was awsome. Close to shopping and resturants.
My Husband and I had a wonderful stay at the condo . The view and the sound of the ocean was amazing!! The condo was stock with everything we could ask for, chairs, umbrella, ice chest , and snorkel gear. It was absolutely perfect !

Convenient, very clean, and well furnished. Owners provide everything you need for comfortable lodging. It appears the condo has been updated with new appliances, bathroom, and bed. The owners also provide quality beach chairs, towels, snorkeling equipment, and an umbrella so you can enjoy the nearby beaches. The western wall of the unit is all glass and the ocean sunsets are outstanding and perfectly framed by palms. We would definitely recommend this Vrbo listing.
(Just so you know, you do not have access to the ocean at the adjacent "Magic Sands Beach" in Winter months when the trade winds scour the sand away from the shore. However, there is still a sandy shelf for sunbathing and other activities. The sandy beach "magicallly" return in the Spring when the winds shift. There are other wonderful beaches north and south of Kona for snorkeling and swimming in the Winter months.)
We really like the location. The view is tremendous, and the condo was perfect for two.
We loved this place and this location. We came here for our 25th wedding anniversary and I can't imagine a better place. We toured around to other beaches on the island, but our favourite beach was the one right next door to the condo -- Magic Sands Beach -- what a sweet spot! The restaurant attached to the building -- Magic Sands Grill -- is also fantastic, as are the people who work there -- from Brooke who manages the restaurant, to Anthony the sous-chef, to Paul who washes dishes in the back -- wonderful people and great food made with pride. Our week at Kona Magic Sands was a dream -- I only wish we were still there. Beautiful unit, amazing location!
Amazing view, the owner went above and beyond by providing everything you need to enjoy your stay. snorkelling equipment, chairs ect!!! Great job.
Only thing I would say is that I would move the furniture so you can enjoy the view. Get rid of the pub style table (not comfortable) and put in a set you can sit and enjoy your coffee and meals at.
The view was wonderful and the sounds of the waves crashing against the rocks was very relaxing. The condo was neat, clean and easy to navigate. We loved our time there. It was a great base from which to explore the big island.
The only suggestion would be to evaluate the tankless water heater for repair or replacement. While not uncomfortable, the water was barely warm for showers and hand washing; with the cold tap completely off.

Great condo right next to a beach and also close to some good snorkel spots. Condo has lots of amenities to use (beach blankets cooler boogie boards fishing poles lots of helpful guide books ect) The pool has recently been redone and is very nice. The condo has beautiful ocean views and the sliding doors open up nicely so you can fully enjoy a nice sea breeze.
