The place was nice and suited our needs. I liked the double lanais on either side, and the airflow was good. Short walk across the grounds leads to an open grassy spot over the rocky beach for a nice sunset. It's fairly close to Kona, and any restaurants, dive shops, the airport, etc. There's a pool, a few community grills, and a golf course nearby.
Couple things to note, but I'm sure these can be fixed quickly for the next person:
- Not sure if I just missed the instructions, but all I had to go on was an address and was surprised when the GPS lead me to a gate. I pushed the button, a guy let me in, and I eventually found the office to check in. More check-in info would be good.
- The bathroom light over the left sink is out.
- I couldn't figure out if there's a way to turn off the light by the front door (none of the switches do it), and it buzzes very loudly.
Otherwise, it would be nice if there was at least salt and pepper in the cabinets, if not other spices. But we managed.
We checked in to a dirty , no handle on the refrigerator, dishwasher door was broken , cracked tiles on the kitchen , running toilet, thin walls that you could hear the person upstairs flush the toilet, no salt or pepper or ANY type of seasonings/oils to cook with & basically this place is really tired looking & needs an overhaul. We did complain to management & they did repair some of the problems. They gave us a $200.00 credit but for the nightly price & all the other fees, this place was not worth it.
