Wonderful time, condo was super clean and well stocked with all the household amenities anyone could ever need! TV was a little problematic, couch not the most comfy but we rarely watched anyway! Spent most of our time on the beautiful lanai enjoying the amazing view. Sunsets and sunrises were unbelievable!!
Great beachfront location with beautiful views. The property was clean and conveniently located. Communications with the host were easy and questions were answered promptly.
We loved the view of this property, but the photos represented a larger, neater impression. None of the four grills worked properly and smoked so bad that if we sat on our lanai we’d have to come in. One of the things we look forward to is grilling by the ocean and eating in. The grill knobs just spun, so you couldn’t adjust heat and the grill surface was rusted. We already bought proteins for grilling, and unfortunately everything we grilled got incinerated. We won’t stay here again.

Our family loved staying at this condo. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking diverse meals, the beach supplies got much use, and the location right on the ocean was excellent. Convenient and ample parking in a garage below the condos was a nice surprise as well!
Great first visit to the Big Island, the views here are remarkable, listening to the crashing waves through sleep is anazing. Holly is a pleasure to coordinate with and the extra amentities throughout the condo are a bonus..saving time and funds more relaxing in paradise.Theres so many enticing places to eat nearby we struck up our own restaurant walking tour sharing small plates and ordering drinks at a few before settling into a main meal spot! We enjoyed the homey condo and the location...the island is big so picking an advantageous homebase is tricky, this worked well for us! Thank you for the hospitality and the memories!
This property was absolutely amazing! The condo is very nice, well furnished, and has a quintessential Hawaiian feel. The location could not be better, just a short way from downtown, and with a beautiful view right on the ocean. Some of the best parts of our trip were sitting on the lanai enjoying the beautiful sunsets and some fresh local fruit from the nearby market, and the occasional glimpse of sea turtles just below us. We hope to return to stay again!
The view from the patio was unbelievable. Sunset over the ocean every night and even dolphins one morning.
The condo is located in a busy neighborhood downtown Kona and very close to everything. Closest restaurant was only half a mile away.
The condo itself was stocked with everything you could possibly need including beach chairs and cooler.
Personally I would pick an air conditioned place next time, since it gets warm during the day. However the evenings are cool with the ocean breeze. And most days we were gone all day sightseeing.
Holy was a great host and very responsive for any questions at all. As soon as we needed something she responded within an hour. Amazing customer service..
We appreciated all the extra supplies that were stocked in the unit. Lots of towels, toiletries, kitchen utensils, supplies. We understood what we were getting by staying at an older condo complex. So if you can get past the older exterior (which didn’t bother us, the inside of unit 312 is cutely decorated and had more updated showers and countertops. But the winner is that view. It was amazing. You’re gonna have a hard time coming in from the lanai or it not being the first thing you look for when you open the door. While we would have liked AC, the ocean breeze helped a lot. We appreciated all the fans and extra ones in the closet.The more expansive beaches are more of a drive, but if you just want to stick your toes in the water, right out front the condo has some tide pools. They did an abundant amount of little touches you might think normal unless you have stayed at other timeshare/condo/vacation rentals. You won’t lack any towels, they had detergent, cleaning stuff, full shampoo/conditioner instead of tiny bottles, lawn chairs, umbrellas, kitchen gadgets, extra blankets…really anything that could be thought of for the average person. Thank you for letting us have a hassle free check in as well and we really enjoyed our stay.
The view, including the sunsets, from the lanai were amazing! Watching surfers, waves crashing into the rocks, walk on some beach and see black crabs and tropical fish in the rocks below the lanai was all phenomenal! The unit was clean, nicely decorated, the bed comfortable and was stocked with everything you would need! A great unit! When the lock broke on the front door, Holly had it fixed within hours. The one thing that was a surprise to us was it had no air conditioning. As mentioned to me and is true, it does not advertise it has AC. Probably naive of me but coming from the midwest where you can't go without it, I didn't think to ask or make sure the unit had AC. This was also my second trip to the islands, and I had AC prior. The unit does have 4 ceiling fans (a 5th on the lanai) and 3 floor fans to circulate the air (they do a good job), but this still didn't make it cool enough for us to get a reprieve from the heat outside, which it was hot the week we were there (high 80s-low 90s with heat index). There was also the constant noise from the running floor fans that was hard to get use to and was in full competition with the sound of the waves outside. Again, my fault for not checking but it did impact the overall experience.
When we walked into this rental we both were aghast. The rental was in the middle if being cleaned, and there was no one around. The whole place was dark and dirty. The pictures did not accurately depict the small size of the rooms or the balcony. The pool area was not inviting. Upon contacting the host, she said that there must have been a communication glitch with the cleaning crew. She offered us another rental in the complex, but we found another place to stay and received a refund.
Spending time on the lanai will go down as one of my favorite lifetime highlights. There were humpback whales! Dolphins lept into the air! Fantastic sunsets! Waves lapping at the lava right below me!
The location was great for running and walking - nearby beaches were very accessible. There were some issues with fans and lights and screen doors, but that's life on the ocean. The microwave blew up the first night and a replacement was on the counter by noon the next day - really great communication.
If you're looking for the lanai of your dreams, where you can snack on papaya and star fruit while watching leaping dolphins and surfers in the waves. . .I don't know if it's possible to do better than this one. It was the best possible way we could have finished off our vacation - thank you!
