The ocean front view was amazing.The space was clean but had a bit of a musty smell when we arrived. This unit has a lot of potential, though it could benefit with some updates to make it feel more modern and inviting.

The view from the condos lanai is breathtaking! We saw a sea turtle, tropical fish, brightly colored birds , listened to the waves and watched lots of surfers . Condo is conveniently located within a few minutes drive to shopping and restaurants in both directions. We walked to an open shopping market with several vendors and a couple of restaurants down the street. This condo is simple and very dated. It all depends on what you are looking for. Not fancy but we never intended on being inside! The dishwasher broke while we were there , the management company was prompt in sending someone to try and repair it. It was replaced by the next day with a new one because it could not be repaired. All in all a very pleasant trip.

We spent a lot of time in this unit, as it was very relaxing. We had most of our meals out on the lanai, watching the surfers. The room was very clean, and the Host was very accommodating. Some things were outdated and could have used a refresh, but other than that, we were very pleased.
Excellent location- far enough away from the main tourist strip and close to the best snorkeling in the Kona area. Easy covered parking, lanai looking onto the ocean and local surf break. All the kitchen amenities you need and a cooler to borrow for day trips! The only drawback is the curtains in the smaller bedroom don’t bock out the intense light from the (blinking!) street light so this makes it really hard for light sleepers like me.

Property managers responsive to concerns. Beautiful view right on the ocean. Waves and surfers. Unit dated needs some simple things. No screen on lanai so hard to sit out much before sunset. Needs bedroom dressers to store clothing. Bedroom bedside stands water damage. Small TV, low to floor. Beach chairs low, need four that are “age” friendly. And a storage box on the lanai for beach gear. Replace patio furniture with more comfortable chairs. Table cloth for table. And a few simple spices
This condo has the best location. Easy to every where. The condo however could use a little repair, and updating. I spent a month staying here and I just looked past the condo issues and just loving the area.
I believe this is a slightly older property, and it is showing a little wear and tear around the edges, but not enough to seriously detract from the overall experience. Also, we requested a few little tweaks things – including the microwave, which just completely went out one day, but by the end of the day it had been replaced. Overall, the management was really good about staining communication and trying to take care of things. The property is located pretty far south on Ali’i Drive so you’re really gonna need a car to get out and about.I think the best part of the location is the fabulous lanai overlooking the beach-we spent many many hours out there having meals and just enjoying the warm weather and watching the surfers.
Very nice view, centrally located. Condo could use some updating and repairs. AC unit works on a 2 hr timer. Patio door in primary bedroom could not be opened and living room patio door very difficult to open.
What a wonderful comfortable space. We felt very content here and particularly enjoyed the lanai looking at the waves and watching very talented surfers.
Generally this place is very nice. A very comfortable setup and well appointed kitchen area. The view is OUTSTANDING! Thebair conditioner is a window unit in the master bedroom. Communication with the property owner was great. Did I mention that view?
Loved the location and the view! The unit was clean and served us well. It can probably use a refresh, but it was in decent shape as is. The management company was responsive and the check in and out was seamless. Would stay there again!

We had a party of 4 staying at Kona Bali Kai during the July 4th holiday week. The views from the lanai were exceptional and the ocean sounds were amazing at night (for the master suite). Sunsets while having dinner outside were perfect. One downside we experienced was the 2-hr timer on the one and only air unit in the condo. It made it impossible to have air conditioning at night unless you woke up to restart it every few hours. It also didn't reach the living area or 2nd bedroom so consider this when making your plans to visit. There is plenty of options for open airflow in this unit however, so using it when there was an ocean breeze was nice. For the guests in the second bedroom, they experienced some negatives due to the street noise - it was loud most hours of the late night and early morning and with the necessity of having windows open for air flow there was no way to avoid the distraction. The cabinetry in the unit could also use some updating / repair but overall the unit met our needs and we enjoyed our visit to Kona while staying here. The management company was easy to work with and communicated with us while we were on site to make sure our stay was comfortable. We loved the nearby snorkeling and downtown area that was a short drive away. Would recommend this to friends, specifically if only 2 people in the group.
The condo had everything we needed and the lanai had a perfect view. We used the pool twice and swam at the small beach by the condo. Would stay again!
This condo was the perfect size for my family of four! The location was convenient and in the perfect spot for watching a beautiful sunset. The beds were super comfortable and the AC in the master bedroom was a bonus! Overall, we enjoyed our stay!

Enjoyed watching the surfers straight off the balcony and loved hearing the pounding waves 24 hours/day! No stores or restaurants within walking distance but easy to get to by car.
This unit has a great ocean view. It is right on the ocean front. You can watch the surfers and the sunset right from the lanai. Parking on the first floor of the building is very convenient and keeps the car cool. Closest beach is a mile away. However you can find places on the property to lay out in the sun. Oceanfront is mostly lava, but there are some sandy spots and some tide pools. We even saw a sea turtle on the property while we were there. The full kitchen and washer/dryer are great to have. The unit is a little outdated but that doesn’t really matter it is still very nice. Beach chairs, cooler, snorkeling gear were provided. Best part of this unit is the ocean right off the lanai!
