The description and photographs are accurate. There is complete visual privacy all around the pool area. Its very quiet. We mostly heard a lot of different birds. Eating fruit from the trees on the property was a real treat. All appliances worked. The house was very well equipped in the kitchen, laundry and with household cleaning supplies. Parking in the garage meant that everything was on the same level even though the house is built on a substantial slope. The pool water clarity was excellent. Using our own thermometer, the morning pool temperature mostly ranged between 77F and 79F. It was almost always 79 or 80F in the afternoon.

The kitchen had all the cooking/eating utensils we needed, more than enough towels, pillows, blankets, garbage bags, cleaning supplies....
The pool? It is large (32x16 we measured it) and has a deep end! We were in the pool Every. Single. Day. even when we went to the beach. The temp of the pool ranged from, "this is almost too warm" down to "this is how a pool should feel".
The view is absolutely beautiful, and we watched the sun set every night but one. We sat out at night and watched the stars too.
When booking the home, we were a little worried about being close to the airport, but we were surprised by how quiet it was.
Tony is great! My husband walked with him every Monday and learned a lot about the garden fruits and the islands.
If we go back to the Big Island, this home will be our first choice!

The lanai, pool, and views are exceptional. The sunsets are breathtaking and our time at the property was healing and the best therapy for the souls. This place was lovely, A peaceful private home with a wide-open feeling, overlooking the Kona coast from the hills, with its own delicious orchard of tropical fruits. It was clean and well-stocked and Debbie the administrator was available and responsive for any problem. Tony tends to the orchard and is generous in showing off and sharing its bounty. Booked for next year.

The house was well stocked with everything needed: kitchen, towels for beach and pool, coolers, snorkel, etc. Debbie always quickly responded to anything needed. We looked forward to seeing Tony every Monday, who brought us a bounty of fruits and flowers from the garden. We will return again in the future!

This place is positioned on the hill with a beautiful view of the ocean about 15 minutes from downtown Kona. It feels very private, has a modest but very clean saltwater pool and the rooms and amenities are exactly as described in the listing. it is not air-conditioned, but the nights are cooler as this is slightly higher up, and with fans and blinds to keep out the sun it is comfortable. The property manager was extremely helpful and very responsive. there isn't much grocery shopping nearby but there is a small market about a 5 minute drive away that has most basic necessities. we bought fresh food and cooked most meals in, and the facilities were perfectly adequate for seven people. the outdoor grill is conveniently large but it does use charcoal so you will need to stock up.

Take a look before You go grocery shopping! Tony the gardener was great! More fruit than we could ever eat and we shared with family that lives in the neighborhood! We had perfect weather and the trade winds keep this beautiful home at a perfect temperature. The pool and pool deck are amazing! Solar heated pool, covered lanai, and screens the owners have thought of everything! Loved the BBQ and outdoor shower as well! Beds are extremely comfortable and Smart TVs were great, although I preferred to start my Day with a cup of coffee and a beautiful view every morning! The grounds are well maintained and the flowers and natural privacy make You feel like You are miles away, yet just a short trip to town! I have found my forever home away from home to rent until I retire! Perfect in every way!
