The location was ideal—perfect for anyone looking to enjoy Maui to the fullest!
Great property! Only problem was having to pay extra for AC. Didn’t notice this would be extra on listing. I have no issue paying for it, since it is Hawai’i. The issue was not having it readily obvious on the property listing, and then having to deal with it when arriving late in the evening.
Lovely condo by Pickleball Courts. They start at 8am and play most of the day. Didn't bother us. The "noise" became background noise. We could see whales breeching from the condo and on our walks along the beach. Beach has a lot of rocks. So if you have tender feet where sturdy shoes. Also turtles can be seen around to the point to the left around sunset.
The grounds at Luana Kai are well maintained, the location is fantastic with perfect sunsets right outside the lanai. Watching the 8am Pickleball games got to be an unexpected morning ritual. Relaxing in the hot tub in the evenings was fantastic.
The condo itself could use some updates. Everything is there and works but things like the carpet having some stains, a blown spring in the couch and the cabinet doors delaminating detract from an otherwise nice experience.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Luana Kai in Kihei. The space was very clean and comfortable.
The Expedia filter said property had AC. The fine print for this property said "air conditioning not available" I missed the fine print.
We originally had booked on the first level, a week prior to our departure we were told that we would be moved next door. When we arrived for check in, we were actually moved tot he second floor. The view was much better and we were very happy with our stay. Easy communication with the hosts!
