Cute, immaculate and well maintained… perfect for me and my hubby . The hosts are the nicest people! We felt like family.
Our stay at Aloha Kauai Courtyard was perfect! The pictures online don't do the property justice. We had everything we needed from beach towels and beach chairs to a welcome goody bag and coffee service. Darryl and Julie were such a treat and so welcoming. This was definitely one of my favorite places I've stayed while visiting Hawaii!
nicely appointed, everything to make a comfortable stay. Small kitchenette with all necessary items. Very clean, nice bedding, good storage space and separate sitting area with sofa and entertainment equipment. Beautiful and well maintained outdoor area.
the apartment is very nice, clean and welcoming. There is everything you need for the beach, towels, umbrella, deck chairs and a cool bag. it is a bit limiting the fact that there is no sink in the bathroom and you are forced to use the one in the kitchen to wash yourself, among other things I did not even shave because there was no mirror in the kitchen sink.
My husband and I enjoyed our stay in this VRBO studio. It was a nice relaxing place to come back to every day after our adventures. The hosts gave us a very nice welcome gift and tour of the space on arrival. The studio had beach chairs, towels, and an umbrella we could use. Coffee maker and water kettle for making coffee and tea in the morning. Very well put together place! We were very happy with our stay.
Great alternative to noisy resorts. Super kind hosts too!
Both Darryl and Julie seem like wonderful people and everything we needed and more was supplied. There was an expansive gift bag full of goodies and welcoming touches everywhere. We would come back for sure!
Julie & Darryl were wonderful gracious hosts. Very helpful and informative! Made us feel so welcome, like a home away from home. Definitely recommend and will return stay if it is just us twoThank you
On the tail end of my trip, with a few days left to enjoy. This was a great place to call 'home' at the end of the busy day - with a quiet back yard where I could work on my emails. Or have coffee with breakfast. Julie and Daryl were great hosts. Close to Old Koloa town and Poipu beaches.
Julie and Darryl and wonderful hosts...available if needed, but you still feel like you have the place to yourself. The backyard is beautiful and Julie puts lots of special touches to make the place very inviting and comfortable. The place was very clean and well laid out. You do need to use the kitchenette sink also as the bathroom sink but it wasn't an issue with the open layout. The breezes through the windows and fans are plenty to keep you cool as needed. This place is only about 10-15 minutes from some wonderful beaches and Old Koloa Town and a wonderful home base for any activities along the southern side of the island.
This property is simply charming. It is located on a quiet street and has a beautiful backyard. It was spotless and had absolutely everything we needed. The hosts were quick to answer any questions we had. If you are looking for the perfect home base to regroup after a day of exploring Kauai, this is it!
We loved staying in this very cute, clean, and comfortable space. The hosts go the extra mile to make you feel welcome. The place is immaculate and very nicely decorated. The garden and yard are gorgeous. Thanks so much to the great hosts!
Just a perfect little place for one or two adults in a quiet neighborhood! Julie and Darrell were awesome hosts. It was very nice and comfortable for me as I was checking in on an elderly aunt for my husband.
We had a wonderful time staying at the bungalow. For the activities we had planed it was centrally located and just a fee minutes from Poi"pu beach. The birds greeting the day was a special highlight and of course the roosters. We felt like we had the house to ourselves because we didn't hear the owners at all. But they were quick to respond to texts and served our needs when they arose. I would recommend this spot for anyone. We felt like one of the locals.
Julie and Darryl were so welcoming, the checkin-in process was easy and we had EVERYTHING we needed for an extended stay on Kawa'i. The studio was so clean and well provisioned, a welcome bag provided local treats, and the courtyard was so lush--this area around Poi'pu is like a botanic garden. Just 10 minutes from the beach but out of the hustle and bustle of beachside traffic, this neighborhood provides a wonderful opportunity in its own right for walks and hikes. We totally recommend this accommodation--excellent!
This is a beautiful room with lovely decor. The colors feel so Hawaiian and soothing. The space is actually larger than it appeared to be in the listing. We had plenty of room to relax and a custom designed closet for all our things. It has an amazing backyard and plantings. We really enjoyed the hosts and their friendly and welcoming assistance.
Our hosts were awesome - excellent communication. The location was peaceful and an easy drive to every thing. Beach umbrella, chairs and cooler made our beach days fabulous. Space is clean, homey and a joy to stay in.
It was a nice, quiet residential area. I preferred to stay there than in a resort area where you are only among other tourists.
Julie and Darryl welcomed me and showed me the suite and how to use the BBQ. The suite was nicely decorated and even had tourist pamphlets and travel books.
I had no issue with Darryl starting up the truck in the mornings. I could hear it (b/c I'm a light sleeper) but I would continue dozing.
The place was clean and comfortable and incl beach towels, chairs, umbrella, & cooler. When I stayed there in December, Kauai was chilly at night (compared to Maui) but after asking for another blanket from Julie, I was able to sleep.
The only caveats I have are:
1. you're better off eating out or using the microwave, unless you have experience cooking decent meals on the BBQ at home, even when it might be raining or windy outside.
2. the location is convenient if you plan to spend lots of time in the south (e.g. beach at Poipu) or in the west (e.g. to Port Allen for a sail to the Napali Coast or to Waimea Canyon). However, it's a long drive around the coast of the island to activities on the north and east. You can't drive directly from south to north. Some roads in the north are one lane, and if there's road construction, expect delays.
P.S. - if you're bringing carryon luggage only, use up the nice jam that the hosts give you. I forgot that it was too big for the carryon, and the TSA staff confiscated it at security.
