Dishwasher was broken on arrival. Bright orange light flashing ..... Pull out bed was dirty and so one person had to sleep on the lanai...we had five people... definitely does not sleep eight . Beautiful part of Hawaii.
The condo was spotless on arrival and the resort amenities/pools were exactly what we were looking for. However, the unit itself feels tired: several holes in the ceiling (looks like old curtain hardware), noticeable mildew odor in the primary bedroom, and the sleeper-sofa frame is bent—there’s a big sag when you sit or try to sleep (mentioned in earlier reviews but still not fixed). With a little refresh and a sofa replacement this would easily be a 5-star stay; until then, expect a clean place in a fantastic spot that needs some overdue upkeep.
Great location and amenities. AC units worked great. Third floor so keep that in mind for anyone who has issues with stairs. Was a great place to sleep and great use of the outriggers pool and spas. Kids loved it
When we arrived, the unit was not very clean. There were dirty dishes still in the microwave, and kitchen utensils that were disgusting and had to be washed. It was obvious it had not been thoroughly cleaned, because even one of the dresser drawers was still completely full of a child's wardrobe. Toilet runs in the master bedroom all the time, and the beds were not comfortable at all. The queen bed that folds out from the couch really shouldn't be called a bed, It's worse than an RV mattress. The air conditioning in the master bedroom is really loud as well, because the condenser is right outside the window on the Lanai. Opening and closing Lanai doors can be heard through all the different units. Messaging property owner on VRBO was fruitless as well, as the message was never answered.The shower in the hall has a shower head so low that anyone over about 5'5 is going to find it uncomfortable to use. As someone who's 6'3", The shower head was below my shoulders and made simple tasks like watching my hair very uncomfortable. On the positive side, self check in was really easy to do. Location was nicely central for both the South and North shore explorations. We also appreciated having two beach chairs and a couple boogie boards. There was also an umbrella and some snorkel gear but we didn't use them since we brought our own. The pools over at the outrigger were nice as well. based on the pricing it was a let down in comparison to what we expected related to it's peers.
Well kept place. You have full access to use the Out Rigger resort a short walk away.
We choose this location due to proximity of coconut market and it being centralized to our excursions. I would recommend a new sofa sleeper, it was very uncomfortable. Some new cushions for the wicker furniture would be a great addition. Also having the bathrooms have hand soap and the kitchen with towels..
Check in was easy. The beds were comfortable. The kids loved having access to the outrigger pools. The location was great, short distance to shopping and other amenities. Don’t forget to look in the closet for umbrellas and other complimentary beach stuff!When we left the housekeeper was happy to take our unopened food, so I was glad to not let it go to waste. Great communication from the manager Only downside was the curtains didn’t really block any light so we did have to buy our suction light blocking curtains or the kids were up at 5:30 am. But this was a minor thing. Would absolutely stay here again!
We needed a place to house my wife and I and 6 teens. This was perfect. We were close to the conference, and were not on top of each other. Access to the resort pool was awesome. Great place to stay.
The property is very centrally located on the island. Both the Condo pool area and the adjoining resort pool were nice. Beach is beautiful for sunrises, but isn’t a swim, surf beach, and warnings about man-o-war in the water there.
If you plan to make meals in the condo I recommend BBQ as there are some older, pealing, pans in the kitchen. There was no dish soap, paper towels, or body wash so either purchase some or bring your own.
The condo is a bit dated, beware of the dishwasher because the door latch is broken.
Overall a nice, affordable, spot for a family or friends and family stay.
The villa was not very clean there were not enough towels and no linens for the make away bed and the beds were extremely uncomfortable there were no directions on how to use the television the view and property were nice
Everything was fictional and worked but this unit is need of some repairs and updates. The Master bedroom mattress was comfortable but all other beds you could feel the springs in your back. The pull out bed sunk in at the bottom middle pretty bad. All the cabinets are in pretty bad shape and need to be replaced. And the counter tops have grout that is pretty dirty looking and paint that is flaking off and they need to be replaced as well. The whole apartment could use a new paint job as well. All the facilities at the resort were pretty nice though and we had a fun time.
So impressed with hostess and amenities in unit! Had a couple hiccups during our stay but communication was fast and friendly and all resolved in quick time. Crystal was wonderful to work with and overall happy with everything about our stay. Would highly recommend and would book again! Mahalo for making our stay pleasant and thinking of even the small things that make a big difference when vacationing!
Liked the view. Liked the location. The unit was stocked well with dishes, cooking necessities. The beds were comfortable. The unit could use updating. The air conditioner in the second bedroom did not seem to be working.
Great location and the resort is nice. However, the place needs a deep clean and updating. Cushions had weird spots on them. I had to clean/wipe down when we arrived. We still enjoyed our vacation because it is Hawaii and I would come back. Hopefully next time it will be cleaner.
This condo was close to the airport (15 minutes) and downtown Lihue. The resort is about half a mile from the main road, so was nice and quiet and maybe 100 yards from the beach. The unit was clean and spacious with two bedrooms (three beds), and we enjoyed the pools at the neighboring Outrigger hotel. Would stay again!
Very nice place to stay. Could it use some upgrades? Sure. But, compared to other places and cost this was a great stay. We had no issues. Unit was clean and it had everything you needed. Just know you cannot get in the water at this beach. To rocky and rough. But us a great beach to sit and walk on. All the pools are great. It is centrally located to mist everything. Short 5 min ride to the airport.
Check in was easy, beautiful property, easy communication with property manager.
The only downfall was bringing our luggage up : flights of stairs, the couch sags in when sitting on it and the pull out bed needs to be replaced. Overall great location, awesome pool, would definitely stay here again !
We enjoyed our stay in this villa for a week in December 2023.
It’s so nice to walk beach to watch sunrise every morning and outside pools in the resort to be relaxed.
Also, it’s very easy access to drive several areas such as Wailua River and Poipu Beach.
