Check-in process pretty quick & smooth. Assigned parking spots are pretty tight, but there is open parking close by, in case you have a large rental car. Inside dining room table has only 4 chairs, so if a party of 6 (like us), not enough seating. We paid for party of 6, but not enough toilet paper for more than 3 days. Apparently they only supply a starter kit. There is a good size grocery store very close to unit, and prices reasonable.All decor is extremely outdated, and definitely too much of it on the walls. Inside fake plants have a huge layer of dust in them.Downstairs king bed is comfortable, but downstairs twin beds are hard as rock. Master-bath hairdryers have issues. Purple hair dryer only works if partially plugged in. The other hair dryer actually sparked and threw out a piece of its ceramic inside when attempting to use. A big fire hazard. There is a toothbrush holder in master bath that is very dirty on inside. There is no way to take lid off to clean, so definitely would get rid of it, or store in owners closet.Found a used/dirty washcloth in downstairs hallway bathroom cabinet. Toaster & toaster oven not cleaned out from prior guests.There were 2 beach chairs, 4 camp chairs, 1 operational beach umbrella, 2 pool noodles and some boogie boards in lanai closet.Dryer takes almost 2 hrs to dry 1 load. Suspect dryer vent issue. Fire hazard if that’s the issue.We cannot recommend this condo. View was amazing though.
I can't say enough good things about this condo. The location itself is breathtaking with uninhibited ocean views in all directions with waves crashing on the rocks below. Just sitting on the lanai watching the boats, outriggers, dolphins etc. while listening to the waves was magical. There is always a nice ocean breeze as well making working or sitting on the lanai for hours wonderful. The condo itself is great. Totally clean and well appointed with everything that you will need during your stay. Plenty of cooking gear for meals at home, beach chairs and floats in the closet on lanai, and extra beach towels in the laundry closet if needed. The beds are really comfortable as well. My wife and I were there alone the first week, and were joined by another couple the second week. We never felt crowded or cramped at all as the condo is large. Overall, the condo set up was ideal for our 2 weeks in Kona. Mark, the owner, is also a great guy. He communicates with his guests to make sure that their stay is excellent. We only wish that we could have stayed longer. Highly Highly recommended!!
Perfect condo for our family trip! Amazing ocean view from the lanai. Storage area stocked with beach gear came in handy. A/C worked well. Bathrooms a bit out-dated, but worked for us. The grounds are beautiful and well-maintained. Loved the ocean pool at sunset. We will return!
Everythink that was needed was at this condo. There was everything that was needed at the beach was at the condo, from 3 umbrellas, to at least 4 beach chairs, to 5 beach towels. When I stay, I like right in front of the ocean, this condo provided it, we had great sunsets everynite.
I recommend this condo to everyone.
Easily accommodated 3 couples. AC worked well, the view off the lanai was beautiful and the condo complex had very well maintained ammenities. I would definitely recommend!

Amazing location, clean facilities and easy check in/out. Calm and beautiful resort and the view from this unit is out of this world. Best sunset on the balcony! We even saw dolphins!!! Master is spacious bathroom as well. Decor is very rustic and « vacation vibes » ! Would rent again in a heartbeat. (Family of 6)

Check in/out was so simple. We loved staying here, close to restaurants, grocery and gas stations. The view from the lanai was stunning anytime of day, especially the sunsets. We saw outrigger canoe groups daily and dolphins every morning. This condo is right on the water, just the right size for group, we will definitely stay here again! Loved all the amenities, we did pay extra for a/c.
Me and my 2 young adults had a great time at Kanaloa 2004. Not sure if I missed it in the details, but the 3d bedroom is actually a loft. Condo had everything we needed plus some leftovers over various things that was nice. The patio view is nearly indescribable.
Spacious condo with room for family of 4 to spread out, beautiful view from the lanai, well appointed kitchen, very clean. Our only issue was that the refrigerator ice maker was not working, which was a little inconvenient, but ultimately not a huge problem.
Spacious condo perfectly situated with
a lanai overlooking the sunset and pounding waves. The development is away from the noise, between downtown Kona to the north and Captain Cook attractions like Two Step and Puʻuhonua o Hōnaunau to the south. Manta ray snorkeling trips depart from around the corner on Keauhou Bay. I decided to stay here despite one negative review, and I"m happy I did - the dryer vent and jacuzzi problems have been corrected. There is beach equipment in the closet (small cooler, chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, water shoes and snorkel gear) and board games to keep you entertained. Plenty of room to spread out or gather in a big group. Super comfy beds including four twin size beds for the kids to have their own. Would stay here again.
Property was exactly as described. Beds and furnishings were very comfortable. We did opt for the A/C but didn't always use it. Sitting on the lanai was heaven - listening to waves crashing, watching whales and dolphins and mainly escaping Montana winter!
