Good but needs maintenance. Doors, faucets, light needed in bathroom, icemaker, blinds, all need repair. Coffee pot has a Crack that leaks. The bed is very hard, not comfortable. Need softer pillows. Other than that, great! The view is wonderful!
Quiet and private, clean, comfortable place to enjoy!
One of the toilets kept running and the interior of the tank was all rusted out.
I think the property s poorly maintained, No outside light or fan on the patio.
No trash can in the kitchen. It's dated had some up grades, shower is nice. No spices not even salt and pepper. Sewer smell at times. Batteries in the remote were dead.
This unit is at a great location - the views of the ocean are stunning. At night you can see the divers and snorkels off shore on the manta ray dive. This dive is a must do, it was amazing! The community is quiet, clean and has lots of stuff to do.
The unit is quite dated, but it is clean - if it were updated, I probably wouldn’t be able to afford staying here ;)
The property was excellent. The view from the unit was excellent, but the unit needs some work--corrosion on bathtub and faucets and lock on front door fell off. The sliding doors to the lanai off of the living room are difficult to move--we are older and it was a challenge, the bedroom closet doors are difficult to move, the kitchen cupboard doors are not attached well, the carpet needs to either be removed or cleaned/steamed. BUT, none of this deterred us because THE VIEW WAS EXCELLENT and everything we hoped for and we would stay here again even with these slightly challenging issues because of the view!! The Kanaloa is a well maintained property with three pools, tennis courts and beautiful gardens set right on the beautiful lava beach. The views are fantastic, perfect for sunsets and whale watching. It is our favorite place to stay in Kona. The unit we had was a one bedroom with two bathrooms, ground level right on the ocean with stunning views. However, the unit is rundown and in need of a facelift. The furniture is worn and the carpet is stained and stretched out and there is some damage to the wood around the window casings. There are other, updated units at the Kanaloa that we will look to rent untill this one is improved. With a little love, this unit could be a top rental.
