Very nice, very clean, convenient to airport and restaurants and shops
Little confusion with parking but all got worked out. The unit was clean, comfortable.and had everything we needed to make many meals ourselves. AC works but hard to get cool at night in bedroom area.It was great to have beach towels, coolers, beach chairs and boogie boards for us to use at the unit.Location is great! I walked next door to Green Flash coffee for breakfast, smoothies and coffee. YUMMY! Being a ground floor unit and an older complex beware you will hear the people upstairs walking around and going up/down stairway.
We had a very enjoyable time in this property. Allen and Pat made us feel at home with their fast response and excellent communications when we had questions.The location of the property is about a mile from an active restaurant, bar, shopping area right on the water front. The ones we ate at were Foster's Kitchen and Humphys bar and grill. Both will validate parking tickets for 1 1/2 hour stay in a public parking lot behind the restaurants.The property was very quiet, clean and friendly. The kitchen was well equipped. The Internet was super fast clocking in at over 600 Mbs (megabits per second)!We would definitely stay here again!
My husband and I stayed here for two weeks. The condo was very clean and very well-equipped, and communication with the hosts excellent. Beach chairs, two coolers, umbrellas (for sun or rain), plenty of beach and bath towels, coffee grinder and drip coffee maker, blender, and a fridge and cupboard full of spices and condiments - it was one of the best equipped VRBOs we’ve stayed in. The unit and shared space was very quiet. There is a glimpse of ocean views (we could see the cruise ships when they were in port) and the quiet, clean pool is very close by with lounge chairs and lovely views of the sunsets from there. There is a shared briquette bbq that was always in very clean condition. Nearby (like next door) is a morning and lunch coffee shop, but other restaurants and shops are a good 15-20 minute walk along a very busy road. No sand beach here but it’s close (walkable or drivable) to several small beaches and beach parks. We enjoyed our stay very much. Mahalo, Allen and Pat!!
This condo is actually better than it shows in the photos. It is a good location… just a few minutes south of business area of Kona. We encountered some AC issues which the owner had corrected during our stay. The owner made a fair adjustment for this inconvenience.
Please note, the AC has a strict control feature that prevents it from running all day (unattended) while you are gone.
🌺We stayed here for a month and it was perfect for the two of us. Pat and Allen are attentive and professional hosts, and we really enjoyed getting to know them. The location is ideal and the people we met at the complex were very nice. We loved going to the pool for sunsets and evening swims and relaxing and dining on the lanai. Everything we needed for beach days and picnics was provided and the kitchen had everything we needed as well. It was hard to leave, but we hope to return soon. Mahalo Pat and Allen🌺
We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Kona Shores. The property is lovely and the condo charming. We enjoyed snorkeling short distances away, afternoons by the oceanside pool, and watching stunning sunsets near the pool. If we return to Hawai'i Island, we'd stay here again.
My wife and I enjoyed our stay in this cute little condo. It was perfect for the two of us and located centrally to everything we wanted to see. The kitchen was well stocked and we were able to fix meals to save some money when we did not feel like eating out. Everything was as described and communication with Pat and Allen was excellent. They answered all of our questions quickly and the check in and out process was very simple.
