Nice place convenient location
Overall, I loved the location. Also, I felt safe in this property. It's just 2 blocks walk to the beach and very close to stores and restaurants. Pictures vs. Reality After I checked in, I took careful review of what pictures we posted and how it actually looked. The place is very worn out, like in the kitchen you do not see the cracked floor tiles or dingy colored walls. The online pictures were photoshopped to remove the imperfections.Cleanliness I use the word 'clean' loosely, there were no cockroaches. The bathroom had ants. I cleaned the kitchen countertops and cabinet handles as they were dirty and grimy. The main entrance door has a full inch gap, so any critter can wander in (none did during my stay - that I know of). Amenities They provide a very measured, very small amount of items. The bar of soap is 1/2 the size of ones at a hotel, I don't know where they found them so small. You get one bar. I was there for 4 days. They also give you dishwasher pods, but there isn't a dishwasher. Text/correspondence I texted asking for more towels and a few other toiletries. I responded to their initial "text us if you need anything" text and I got nothing, except the reminders for checking out, a few days later. Laundry It's a shared laundry room, the property is rather large. They don't have a coin machine and it seemed easiest to use the app to pay for laundry.Would I stay here again? No. Would I recommend it to others? Yes, with lots of caveats.
Enjoyed our stay. Saw big winter waves and lovely winter sun.
Property was proximal to great amenities
Good central location close to lots of restaurants and stores. Unit was well kept and quiet with all amenities.
We love this modest condo, very quiet complex within walking distance to all of Kailua’s downtown attractions. We didn’t even rent a car this trip. Nicely appointed kitchen compared to other rentals we’ve experienced. We added a steamer basket to the options and left a large supply of coffee filters for the nice Cuisinart coffee maker. (Gotta try all the local coffees!) shopping bag, beach gear, screened lanai. Good AC in the kitchen area, fans in each room. We had an adorable baby gecko this time who was very polite. Its our home away from home, love it.
Not the fanciest exterior but quite comfortable and nicely maintained interior with every amenity you could need for a stay. Its a 2 block walk to the Kailua harbor, 1/2 block to Kona Coffee & Tea, 1/2 block to a number of restaurants and markets. Quiet place to recharge for the next day of island appreciation. We are already planning our return trip!
Comfortable accommodations close to town. Very convenient to shopping.
