Great location, excellent and responsive host. Pool was fantastic, back yard offered a lot of privacy and the kitchen was reasonably well equipped.Come prepared with a lot of slow cooker recipes as the place gets hot mid to late afternoon and you don't want to be doing too much cooking in the house to add to the heat. Would definitely like to go back. Highly recommend
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Scott’s property. House was well equipped with everything we needed. The backyard with the pool was a great spot to relax. Much more relaxing than the hustle and bustle of Waikiki. Would stay here again!
This is the second time we have stayed at Scott's Tropical Gardens. Scott is very easy to communicate with and readily replies to any questions or concerns and has much knowledge of all the local places. The house is perfectly located in a quiet area of Kailua just a few minute walk to beautiful Kailua beach. Although the interior is somewhat dated it is decorated in a Hawaiian theme and definitely has the Island vibe. The backyard and pool is the centerpiece of this property where our kids and grandkids spent memorable times enjoying themselves. We will definitely look for this booking first the next time we visit this paradise.

Six of us (family) stayed at Scot’s amazing property Our cameras are full of photos of this amazing property The pool is exceptional and very well cared for The outdoor shower was used daily by most of our party Parking is easy and good A short walk to the beach and paradise is complete Will definitely stay there again if back in OahuScott is always pleasant polite and provides very useful information for first timers like we were

Wonderful host and home. Lots of space and huge backyard with big pool and lots of furniture. Beach equipment was there for us to use and 5-7 minute walk to beautiful spot on Kailua beach and a few minute car ride to Kailua town. Very comfortable and family and guests loved it. Thanks again, Scott for a wonderful visit!!

With 4 bedrooms, a large back yard and pool, there was plenty of room for our family. The home has a beautiful hawaiian feel with its decor, gardens and ponds about the yard.

We stayed a month in Scott's place in Kailua and had the best time. The house is perfect! It has tons of comfortable lounging areas inside and outside, everything you need in the kitchen, the pool is glorious. You can walk to the beach in 5 minutes. The beach turned out to be our favorite. It has little waves to play in and can walk 4 miles one way on the sand. Anyways I fully recommend staying here!

Location excellent. Property met our needs for our stay. Scott was very easy to communicate with and very accomodating. Look forward to a return trip to Oahu. Property does need some deferred maintenance performed. Other than that, everything was absolutely fine. Mahalo Scott.
We stayed for the month of November 2023. Our adult daughters and their spouses joined us along with a 14 month old Grandchild. There was plenty of room for all, house was somewhat dated but absolutely comfortable and clean, the pool was superb, easy walk to the beach using provided wagons/umbrellas/chairs. Scott was an amazing host. We all had a most wonderful time.
We had a fantastic stay at Butterfly House. The home was exactly as listed. The pool was bigger than expected and very well used. There was lots of pool and beach gear available. There were even beach wagons and coolers. The walk to the beach was easy and the beach was truly the beast on the island. Not busy, clean, great for bobbing, surfing, boarding, fishing or just reading. The location of the house between Kailua town and Kaneohe with easy access to all higways was perfect. Its an easy 25 minute drive from the airport.
Our family were very comfortable and loved the charCter of the home. Many had not visited the uslands before and this introduction had them planning their return. Scott our host was friendly and responsive. His welcome tour was thorough and he insisted on helping us pack in our luggage and groceries. We will be back again. A month was too short!
