Beautiful home with incredible views. We had a handicapped adult and two elderly adults and this house was perfect for them to relax and enjoy time with family.
We absolutely loved our stay at Kahalekai - beautiful views and comfy home; it fit our family perfectly. Secluded area but still close to stores. We’ll be coming back! Mahalo

Our stay was great. The house was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The location was within 45 minutes to every location we visited. There is a local beach within walking distance that we visited for most of our trip. I would recommend staying at this property for any of my friends or family.
We (6 people) stayed in 03/2025, paid around 1K per night, and we had a great time. It has great views, and there is a nice beach 5 min walking distance. The house is large enough, and has AC. We used the guest house (fully equipped for a couple), and the BBQ. Issues were (a) couldn't have an early check in (4pm enforced), (b) bed linen had mold smell, (c) last day there were insects (cockroaches) in the upper bathroom, (d) the master bathroom had a smell, (e) the AC were too loud, (f) there is no trail for walking. The management were very responsive and friendly, they took care of the bed linen, they cleaned again, responded in all our requests - that made all the difference. We would recommend.

Lovely home with great location. Very peaceful atmosphere—the sounds of the waves is hypnotic. Convenient to everything but near the end of the road so it’s quiet & less developed—very near Allerton Gardens & Spouting Horn. House was clean & comfortable. I will return.
Property is well situated and provides many opportunities to watch whales and relax. The TV cables need to be replaced because they caused may intermittent problems. Some panels in the blinds need to be added and some need to be replaced. Overall a great experience and it could have been better with the minor inconveniences mentioned.

My husband and I wanted to share the beautiful island of Kauai with our adult children. Kahalekai was a perfect base for our adventures. The set up of the house worked great giving the kids the main house and us the cottage. The lanai was our space to experience beautiful sunrises and sunsets as well as enjoy outside dinners with the sound of waves crashing below. We even saw whales in the distance while spending quality time together as a family. Mahalo for making our 2024 Christmas one to remember for years to come.

Can't get a much better oceanfront location on Poipu. The view is spectacular. However, the house definitely needs some TLC. All of the bedroom blinds need to be replaced. Every bedroom is missing slats on the blinds, with the cottage being the worst of all. It is missing at least 4 or 5 slats making privacy a big issue. Also, very disappointed that not even salt and pepper were provided. Overall, the house has a million-dollar view, but is in dire need of some new blinds.

My family returned after 13 years. After my husband died our family took a break from visiting the island until this year. Allthe sweet memories our many visits to Kahalekai came rushing back. We hope to return next year if there is a vacancy!

Family time. Our middle son (Noah) proposed to his gf at Tunnels Beach this week.
Sightseeing - mostly enjoying the calm, relaxed pace here on Kauai.

We came with an adult family of 6. The house has a main bedroom for parents, a cottage suite for married younger couple and two rooms upstairs for single adults. Right on the water, the sound of the surf, stars at night and other aesthetics were lovely. Kitchen well equipped allowed us to cook together several nights. We were close enough to get to boat tour, helicopter tour, local beach and Waimea canyon within an hour. Na Pali coast was a bit further, but a great day trip

Our family enjoyed the beautiful views from this property. Watching the waves breaking on the rocks just below, occasional sea turtles, outrigger canoe teams, fishing boats and surfers....something to see 24/7, including amazing bright stars at night. Each day we could see whales in the distance, functional binoculars would have been helpful. You will not be let down by the view. And you can literally walk 100 yards up the street to the Spouting Horn, go early and sometimes you'll be the only ones there. The house itself is functionally appointed, but is somewhat dated as its an older home, but the views from all rooms and the spacious lanai are magnificent. There are however a few things that could be done to make guests feel more comfortable, such as functioning blinds without missing panels, baseboard repairs in a few areas, a screen door not staying on track if not careful, a few loose handles here and there, all which would be relatively easy repairs so its surprising they haven't been. All in all we had a wonderful time, the location is amazing!Mahalo
