Everything about the unit is perfect , location to town, access to excellent beaches, beautiful sunrises, cooking utensils, beach accessories, comfortable bed. The unit has it all. I could see that the lack of AC in the hot months could be a problem as Kauai is more humid than other island and the trade winds are not always blowing enough to keep the unit cool.There are extra fans provided though and when positioned correctly the unit stays comfortable .
The unit had no air conditioning. Read the fine print. Everything hot and sweaty including dripping windows, cabinets, and mirrors, floors were sticky and dirty. Fans provided but doesn’t cut the heat or humidity. Homeless down the street and seen on the property. Not enough towels provided for our stay. Property manager was quick to respond to our concerns.
We really enjoyed our stay here. The listing was just as described, though always feels smaller than pictures make it look. I wouldn’t want to stay here with four people, but it was perfect for two. The property grounds were immaculate and the whole area was removed enough from the road and town to make it feel so quiet and remote. We loved being able to just step out the doors to the beach or pool. Self checkin made for a really easy arrival and there was everything we needed to enjoy our stay, including beach chairs and towels. We would most definitely book this particular unit again.
We had a lovely time in Kauai. Mid stay linens exchange and cleaning was unexpected but much appreciated. After a few nights of roosters crowing, learned to close the windows at night.

The property is lovely and in a great location. Steps from the beach although not a beach to swim at. Nice proximity to lots of things we wanted to do. The place is a littler smaller than expected. Especially the bedroom. It felt more like a guest bedroom certainly not a master suite. Very strange and awkward to have the bedroom upfront with the windows looking directly into someone else’s entry way. Kind of annoying to be sleeping feet away from where people are coming and going. The bed itself is not comfortable. No air conditioning do in order to be comfortable you need windows open and fans on, again awkward to have the bedroom so close to the front with windows open. The Condo does get pretty warm with no AC but cooled off decently at night, would prefer AC. The living room furniture is pretty uncomfortable, not good for relaxing after a day of playing on the island. Wish there was a hot tub. Overall a good place, loved the location just some things we did not love.
Excellent location with amazing ocean view, just a short walk down to the beach. Beautiful sunrise every morning when not cloudy. The pool just in front of the condo so able to swim nightly.-

My family and I loved our stay at the property. First rate and four stars . My only complaint is no air conditioning. Yes most of the time you enjoy a nice breeze. However we had a few sleepless nights. Would we rent again in the future, YES ! Just maybe in May or June .

We loved our stay! The condo was so clean and perfect for the 2 of us. I loved being on the ground floor and being able to walk right out toward the pool and the ocean. There is a walking path that we enjoyed every morning that goes right along the coast. There is no A/C, but there was a floor fan in the closet that worked perfectly. We would definitely come back.
My husband and I rented this unit through VRBO via Garden Island Properties. During four nights (May 24th to May 28th) of our five-night stay, the units to either side of 109, the floor above us, and unit 117 were occupied by large groups of both adults and children.
On the final night of our stay, these units held a very large party with at least 30 people occupying the pool until 10 pm and then the lawn area behind the condo's lanai's until 11 p.m. We also witnessed non-resort guests associated with the groups arriving and departing the property throughout the evening. I contacted the on-call security person and Garden Island Properties but was told that nothing could be done as they didn't manage those units.
We had no idea that two different vacation property groups managed Kaha Lani. Our contract with Garden Island Properties stipulated that parties were not allowed. Had we known this, and that Castle Resorts rents to large groups, we would have chosen to stay elsewhere.
The noise and intrusiveness of these groups greatly diminished our stay. It was disappointing, disruptive, and stressful. This was very unfortunate as the property is lovely (gardens are beautiful) and the condo itself well-appointed (kitchen has everything needed to cook full meals).
I would also note that the unit is NOT air conditioned and you'll need to leave the lanai doors open to stay cool.
Accommodations were comfortable & clean. The neighborhood was immaculate & well maintained.
When we reported a problem with a kitchen cabinet it was repaired the next morning.

Lovely spot just north of Lihue. Fairly new complex of 2 and 3 storey units. Well furnished. Lots of parking spots. Door code for access

It was very positive. The location is lovely. Beach is beautiful but not safe for swimming. How ever there is a swimming and snorkeling location nearby. The island has a lot of chickens and roosters so one does have a natural alarm clock

We have rented this condo twice and love it. We have rented in Kaha Lani resort three times and will continue as it is centrally located on the island. 10 minutes from the airport.
Great location. Quaint, walking distance from Lydgate Beach. right off the highway. Perfect location to get to North/South Shore. Very close to the airport.
