We loved the views, how clean the rooms were and all the things it provides
The Island Sands was built in 1975 and this condo has almost all the same fixtures. Slidings doors for showers, Lanai, and closets all difficult to move. Showers, kitchen, sinks are original, Some carpet looked original. Just needs a makeover, BADLY. View and beach toys were great.

We love the location, its central to Lahaina, Kohei, airport, hana, and Kaleakala. The condo is right on the water and has lots of turtles. Good for surfing and snorkeling right at the property.
The Island Sands view is fabulous from the lanai, can’t be beat. However the screen doors kept coming off the tracks and falling on us. Dirty ceiling and blinds in second bedroom. Blinds in this room don’t work. Kitchen floor and dirty grout, garborator does not work, one shelf missing in fridge, blender broken and lacks a few appliances. One lamp, shade and bulb, in living area come off the base. Water stained curtains. This condo is very very dated, too much furniture in the home. Don’t be fooled by the pictures. I never write reviews but this condo does not provide value for money.
Nice location, comfortable place. Just some wear and tear that probably needs to be tended to.

This Resort is Just Beautiful and the View from this Room is Gorgeous...The Unit itself is in Need of the Owners Help..The Furniture has Stuffing coming out of Cushions and Throw Pillows, Lamps that are Broken, Sliding doors on both Bedroom Closets don't slide Well..Old Tiffany Sway lamp that was hanging from wall by the wires that were exposed..( Called maintenance to take it down afraid of Fire hazard)Dirty and Broken 2inch blinds in one bedroom don't work at all..So at night with lights on people from hallway can see inside that bedroom, Pictures that were missing on Walls and Walls are so in Need of Paint ... Dirty..especially behind missing pictures..Masterbath those Bright Pink Walls and Bright Red Trim were a thing of the 70's..and the Masterbed well Very Firm in Deed!! Sliding Screen Door bent so wouldn't Close Properly...Nice New Carpet in Living Room and Masterbed..So somethings are Nice, Just way more that are Not..Probably won't stay in this unit or recommend to Friends or Family..Sad Because this Unit has Great Space just needs Help..
I travel frequently, this was by far the worst unit overall I have EVER been in. Avoid if you can! List of issues: upon arrival, toilet handle broken off, picture falling apart, most lights / light bulbs flickering dead or not working, BED was super hard, pillows cheap. Linens old n weathered. And the worst was the front door doorstop was broken so you had to lean town and hold it up to shimmy out and close the door upon leaving.
First night 1am 2am people hollering,
5am on all three nights someone was outside digging glass out of the dumpsters making a huge amount of noise. Property abviously doesn’t manage its quite time.
The view was great and the space in the unit decent. we where just glad we spent all of our time away from it.
Also this is the first time I’ve ever written a bad review.
