Welcome to ‘Hughes Maui Condo #1’ – ground floor unit #113 of Building 10 at the Kamaole Sands Resort. This is a beautifully renovated 1 bedroom condo with 2 full bathrooms and very nice furnishings and local art throughout. We are fortunate to also own another 1 bedroom unit in the same building (see listing 995556) in case an additional unit is needed.
This unit has a beautiful ocean view from the covered extra-large ground-floor lanai and is just 100 yards from the Kamaole 3 beach; one of the best and most beautiful beaches in the world! There you will find great snorkeling, swimming, paddle boarding, boogie boarding, and sunbathing. Building 10 is highly desirable and not only has beautiful views of the inner courtyard, fountains, and ocean, but is *the closest* building to the beautiful Kamaole 3 beach; it is just as close to the beach as it is to the pool!
We limit our one-bedroom condo to a maximum of 2 adults. The condo is a spacious 818 sq. feet (76 sq. meters) not including the 166 sq. foot extra-large lanai. The renovated unit includes all stainless-steel kitchen appliances, kitchen cabinets, counter tops, bathroom vanities, beautiful new tile floors throughout, and much more. You'll love our new bedroom suite, California King bed with a premium mattress, distinctive Plantation shutters, 32” flat screen TV, and A/C. We also have a large capacity Whirlpool Duet washer/dryer stack. With the recent fiber optic upgrade, you can enjoy free ultra-fast (>300Mbps) wireless internet in the unit and on our extra-large lanai. The kitchen and hallway bathroom were fully remodeled in 2021 and we had a split AC system installed in the bedroom and living room in 2023.
This Kamaole Sands complex has the rare combination of a great pool, great tennis and pickleball courts, and a great location. World-class golf awaits you within minutes at the Wailea and Makena golf courses or via a short drive to many other courses including Kapalua Plantation and Kaanapali. World-class surfing is also nearby. This unit is a short walk to several restaurants, bars, and small shops. It is located near the Shops of Wailea and exquisite island dining. The Kihei boat ramp and daily trips to Molokini are just a short walk from the unit. Please read our reviews and see why our condo is an all-around great choice!

Beautiful 1 bedroom unit, close to the beach and all the amenities of Kamaole Sands. The unit was in great condition, well stocked and a very convenient location. Bob was great to work with while booking as well as very informative about the unit and location. Very nice large lanai, with view of the ocean and the Kamaole fountains. Great spot! We stayed at this properly for two weeks in January. Everything about this condo and the resort property in general made for a very enjoyable stay for us. The condo unit itself was well stocked with anything one would need for any length of stay – from beach equipment to kitchen and cookware utensils and appliances to laundry and cleaning needs. All furnishings were well-kept and clean. The mattress was new and comfortable. Clearly, the owners take pride in offering a top-notch rental. The resort property was equally impressive and well maintained. Each day we observed employees attending to the fountains, the grounds, plantings, flowers, etc. We would highly recommend this VRBO and would gladly stay here again should should our travel plans permit.

We absolutely enjoyed our visit to Maui. The condo was in a great location, beach was just across the road and walking distance to restaurants. We would definitely stay at this condo again for any future vacations.

This is the third time we have stayed in this condo and we plan on returning again. It's well stocked, clean, quiet and comfortable all around. The ground floor location allows you to walk right out onto the beautiful grounds of the Kamaole Sands complex. And the beach is just 100 yards away. Thanks to Lindy and Bob for being such exceptional hosts.

We very much enjoyed our stay at 10-113. The unit was very clean with a well stocked kitchen including glasses, cups, plates, nice silverware and quality cooking utensils and pans. Also equipped with beach chairs, umbrellas, snorkel gear and boogie boards. Couldn't have asked for more. Communication was great, check in a breeze and everything was perfect! Hope to stay again!

Perfect location, the beach is right across the street and its probably the best in the area.
Literally everything you could need in the room was there.
Lindy and Bob contacted us multiple times to make sure everything was good.
I would not hesitate even a little bit to stay here again.

We’ve been coming to Maui for the last 20 plus years about every year and a half, this is the best placed we’ve stayed. Below are some suggestions for your stay.
1. When you arrive check out all the draws and cupboards to discover all tbe goodies in the condo
2. The front door can stay open, leave it open and open the bedroom windows and lanai screen door to get a really nice breeze running through the condo.
3. We only used the air conditioning in the leaving room once and used the air conditioning in the bedroom when we could not get a breeze through the bedroom window and the nights we quiet for us.
4. The drainage in the kitchen sink is slow, do not run the tap all the way up because water will back up in the sink.
5. Don’t feed the chicken and birds that will visit you on the lanai, they will end up not leaving you alone.

This condo was more than expected. Clean, well stocked, with updated kitchen and bathroom. We loved the location--Just a couple minutes to walk to the beach. Centrally located in Maui to enjoy all parts of the island. Extremely easy check in process and communication with owners for check in and check out details was simple and detailed. Loved this place and hope to come back soon!!
