It was exactly what we needed!
The location is conveniently located near downtown Hilo and beautiful beaches. For lap swimming go to Carl Smith. The property is a lush tropical hideaway.
Was great to have a full size fridge and stove as we prepare our own meals. Microwave and laundry facilities were a bonus. The bed was very comfy and cleanliness is a must with me and I was not let down. Also nice to be just out of town away from the traffic and noise. Definitely will be my go to stay the next time visiting.
This was a great visit while my home here was tented for termites. We would stay here again or suggest it for friends that visit. Thanks to the owners and cleaner for providing my wife, our cat and me such a nice three days !
I travel for work and like to stay in places with kitchens. This place was great. It was clean, safe and comfortable. There was covered parking which was helpful on rainy days. There was a window a/c unit that I barely used because it was cool most days and nights. I loved being able to cook instead of having to eat out all the time. I also loved having a laundry facility on site. Guy is a wonderful host, and he checked in on me intermittently to make sure everything was ok.

We loved our Papaikou stay in Guy’s studio!
It's a great place to stay in a perfect location just outside of Hilo. Has everything you need.
This studio is just right, perfect, pick your own words. It is comfy, airy, large.
The yard is a gorgeous garden.
You have access to washer/dryer , SAUNA ! If you are a Sauna user like we are, this one is right on the money as far as time and temp to heat.
I would highly recommend this place to a couple or even 4. We had a friend stay one night and we were all comfortable. When we go back to Hilo, OUR HILO HOME will be our place.
This home is convenient and beautiful inside and out! The beds are comfortable, so we slept great and awoke refreshed! Internet worked great. We didn't stay long enough to cook in, but there's a full size refrigerator and all the necessary appliances to bring home delicious ingredients from the Hilo Farmer's Market and create a feast of your own. The location is just outside of Hilo and it was nice to get out of town to relax. But it's still super easy to hop on Hwy 19 to head North toward Wailea and just as easy to head South on 19 toward Hwy 11 to Volcanoes National Park. The onsite property manager is very kind as well! The singing frogs are an added bonus! We will be back.........and hopefully sooner than later! Mahalo for opening up your Hilo Home and Aloha until next time!
