The cottage was exactly as advertised with an amazing location to Poipu Beach. Great communication and an overall excellent host. Would definitely recommend!

This property was amazing. From the location and proximity to Poipu Beach, to the design and amenities, we couldn’t have found a better place to stay during our trip to to Kauai.Besides the beach that lay just steps away from the house, the covered porch tended to be the place where we spent the most time. With the accordion doors open, and the ocean breeze, it was a perfect place to relax and enjoy our getaway.
Our stay at the beach cottage was wonderful. The home is beautiful, thoughtfully furnished and is so close to the beach. We thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor space, the air conditioned bedrooms and the outdoor shower. There are enough boogie boards for the whole family, which we used daily at the beach. We would absolutely stay here again if we come back to Kauai.
Karen and Brent’s cottage was absolutely perfect. From the moment we arrived, we were so impressed with the attention to detail and how beautifully done everything was. The space was spotless, stylish, and incredibly comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed for cooking, and they had all the essentials for enjoying the beach.Go to Kalapaki Joe’s for happy hour—great deals, delicious food, and excellent drinks. We loved watching the turtles come up on the beach at night—such a special experience.This was truly one of the best rentals we’ve ever stayed in. Huge thanks to Karen and Brent for sharing this beautiful space with us. We can’t recommend it highly enough and would return in a heartbeat!
This is the most perfect beach cottage. Stocked with absolutely everything you could possibly need. The walk to the beach is so easy. Spending evenings on the lanai listening to music and playing games was a highlight. Wish we could have stayed longer!

If you’re staying in Kauai, you can’t beat this home and its location. It’s a beautiful home. The walk to the beach is less than 2 minutes, max. All beach supplies (boogie boards, chairs, wagon to transport) are provided.The deck is large and perfect for dining. Hot tub, outdoor shower, amenities . We did walk to the clubhouse (15 minutes or so) to use the pool, work out club and restaurant (reasonably priced in comparison to some surrounding establishments) a few times. Would highly recommend!
Beautiful home!!! We cooked dinners and loved sitting on the patio! Kauai and this house has a special place in our hearts!!! Hope we can come back and visit again!
The house is in a great location on the south side of the island - just a few steps away from Brenneke's Beach & Poipu Beach. Was perfect for my husband and our teen daughters. Used the gas grill and beach gear. Unfortunately the hot tub wasn't working during our stay - a main reason why we booked this house. But, the owner tried to get it fixed as soon as he was made aware of the situation, but wasn't able to get the parts in time, so he did refund us 1 night stay - which helped make the situation better. Definitely would recommend to anyone traveling to Kauai. A great place to explore and relax from.
Perfectly located 2 bdrm ohana, steps away from Poipu beach. Elevated beach lifestyle decor. Lovely hosts and wonderful week-long experience. Highly recommend.
We stayed 6 nights in early May. In the afternoon and early evenings the west facing porch is stiflingly hot and humid. It was very pleasant in the morning and late evenings with a nice coastal breeze. The nearby beach is quite nice. After a day on the local beaches it would have been nice to come home to a cool house for dinner and relaxation. The living room and kitchen were oppressively hot and humid. Mowers and leaf blowers roared 2 of the 6 afternoons. Thank goodness there were wall mounted air conditioners in the bedrooms. We ate our dinner in the bedrooms for relief from the heat. This review is not all bad. The house was nicely equipped and clean with an outdoor shower to shake the sand.
Our son and his fiance were married May 7th, our son actually found this for the parents of the bride and groom. Wonderful location, very clean and well stocked with the needed kitchen things.

We stayed at this property 2 yrs ago and just loved it. The layout is great, location is fantastic and it is very nicely appointed. Has a great lanai and amenities of beach chairs etc.and a hot tub.
This place is spectacular. Everything about it is perfect. First it is within walking distance to the ocean...now you can't see the ocean but you can easily walk to it. This VRBO is outfitted in amazing fashion. The quality of everything is superb and definitely on the higher end of the spectrum. All the appliances were great and in brand new condition (dishwasher, fridge, W/D, iron, blender, vacuum..miele!) Loved the ease of the kitchen and size. We also loved the open air accordion doors that opened up the living room, dining room and kitchen to the lanai. It made the area so much larger and cooler with the breeze. There are also sunshades around the lanai to help with direct sunlight and provides some privacy. Furniture was super cute and comfortable both in the house and on the lanai. Both bedrooms had great large walk in closets with lots of drawer and hanging space. The walk in showers were wonderful and one room has both the shower and stand alone tub and an access to the outdoor shower. King beds were very comfortable and the wall AC really helped keep the bedrooms cooler for sleeping.Nice hot tub and a wagon with beach chairs and boogie boards and snorkel stuff Also you have access to the cabana club fitness center which was great with a ton of amenities! Check that place out for sure! I would highly recommend this place and would go back anytime I am in poipu. Brent was also very responsive, helpful and willing to work with us.
Perfection might seem like hyperbole in a review, but really that is all that comes to mind with respect to our stay. We were fortunate to book 3 weeks at the Beach Cottage, and so glad we did.The Location: 5 min stroll (1/2 block) to some of our favorite beaches on the island, for surf, turtles, snorkling, sunsets...everything. 2 min to the Maha'ulepu Heritage trail - three miles of paved path and green space for walking and cliffside trail for hiking / running. Multiple restaurants to walk to, but easy access to Koloa Old Town and Lihue. We love the south side of Kauai, and really challenging to think of a more perfect location.The Cottage: Beautifully crafted plantation style beach home. Easy living - perfect for a short or long stay. Indoor/Outdoor design is perfect for the location and weather, kitchen well outfitted, design and decor all super lovely and tasteful. Lots of other amenities like beach chairs, boogie boards, sun chairs, outdoor furniture, grill, hottub...all loved and used during the three weeks.The Hosts: Just super great people - you will love them. Super responsive and considerate - absolutely no issues with communication. Went out of their way to provide a few things to make our travel and stay easier for us to manage, and they provide great recommendations and Kauai "inside baseball" along the way. We used the included Poipu Athletic Club every day.Many thanks for the stay and lovely accommodations. We cannot wait to return.

Wow!Everything was perfect You need to rent this house if you go to Kauai
We loved this home. The location was perfect and very close to the beach. The home was comfortable from the beds to linens to amenities. The owner was very responsive to all of our inquiries and was very helpful. We are definitely staying here again on our future visits.

We loved staying at this location and would stay again. There was no communication before we arrived and had some trouble finding the property at first. There is not great reception so make sure to find out where you need to go and the code to the door before arriving. The rooms and kitchen had most everything you would need, however get coffee if you need it and shampoo/body soap. Very little things that would not stop me from staying again!

We almost didn’t want to review because it was that great. Clean beautiful priced right all amenities were high end. It was just wonderful. The beach was at the end of a dead end street. The plantation house was a work of art. It was like living in a dream. I finally found heaven on earth, not to mention how nice the owners were.
The cottage is perfectly positioned half a block from the beach where the turtles come up every evening at sunset to sleep on Poipu beach. It is a 12 minute or so walk along a lighted path to the Hyatt. The cottage is very well equipped and the windows between the living area and the lanai accordion open so outside / inside flow together. We will certainly be back!
Such a comfortable and beautiful cottage! We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed all the home’s amenities, especially the breezy and spacious Lanai! Parking would be tight for big vehicles and the outdoor online photos show a wider neighborhood than reality. But all and all, an awesome place! We hope to make another visit in the future! Mahalo!
