We had a great stay! There was an issue when we arrived with the smoke detector beeping due to a low battery. The property manager responded quickly and had it replaced. There was also an issue with the refrigerator/freezer light flickering intermittently that i believe a part had to be ordered for so that issue was unresolved when we left.
This condo was perfect! No issues at all.
This was a wonderful place to call home during our recent trip to Hawaii. The place is clean, quiet, and spacious. The pools are nice and the condo contained everything we needed. Management was responsive to any questions we had. Checkin and navigating the property was a breeze.
Beautiful, family-friendly property with thoughtful amenities.
Complex pool is nice.
Access to Hilton pools is what makes this rental a must-get.
We had a great stay at Waikoloa Villas. The rental unit came with everything we needed to relax comfortably in between excursions. The neighborhood is a small gated community that is within a short drive (or slightly longer walk) from shopping, restaurants, groceries, and from the Hilton resort. There is a nice pool area within the neighborhood, which we visited twice, but we also put the included Hilton pool pass to good use. We felt that the rental was well worth the money and would absolutely stay here again.
very nice, clean and contained all the necessecities of daily living
we did not have to buy any additional supplies
Access to Hilton pools was are plus
Lots of walking trails and sidewalks
Short drive to great beaches and coastal trails
This condo was one of the few options large enough to fit our whole family in the Waikoloa area, very near what in my opinion are the best beaches on the island. The condo and lanai back up to the golf course and one of the two community pools is just across the street. The community is gated with little traffic and felt very safe. We are not real resort-type people, but if you plan to enjoy the amenities of the Hilton hotels lagoon and pools/slides, then the 6 Hilton waterpark passes included in this rental are a huge perk (during the time we stayed there in early-July 2022, purchasing individual Hilton waterpark passes ourselves would have cost $100-$150/day per person). My family wanted to spend most of its time in sand and water, so we took more advantage of all the beach gear provided with the condo. The condo itself is nice and the high living room ceiling makes it seem larger than it is. The place did have some issues that you often see with rental properties. The carpeting is pretty worn and stretched in some areas and needs to be replaced. Two of the dining room chair seats were missing screws and not secured to the chairs, and the upstairs balcony chair is falling apart also. We had some problems with the dishwasher and with the garage door, but property management was very responsive and helpful. The dishwasher repairman advised us that it just needed a new part, although unfortunately they could not receive delivery of the part until after we departed. The garage is very small and might not fit a larger 4-wheel drive rental, but there is also a reserved outdoor parking space. Overall these were pretty minor annoyances. We really enjoyed our stay.
Rental directions were communicated well.
The condo is well located both on the island and with-in its housing community. Pool and BBq's are close by as well as trash dumpsters. The property managers were excellent to deal with and addressed our concerns immediately. We were a family of 7 adults and did find the layout for us a bit challenging. Large master bedroom with in-suite bath is great. This leaves 1 bathroom with shower/tub for 5 other adults to share. There is a half bath downstairs. Room with queen bed is nice size also but the double twin bedroom is very tiny, hard to move around, and has too little lighting. The master bed has a memory foam topper on it making it comfortable but queen and 2 twins are very hard, and if you have hip issues with this then you will not sleep comfortably. We had to purchase an air mattress for one of our family to use in the living room because of this. The blinds in the twin bedroom were not able to open and mgmt. had to come give us a curtain for one of the sliders because it too was not working. Large window in living room also has a blind but no ability to drop down to block daylight, problem for us because we were using the sofa bed in living room and had to put airbed in there too.
The décor is a bit dated and not sure if owners have had a chance through Covid to check on things. Lots of dated and tired silk plants and trees taking up space. We cooked every meal and found kitchen to be pretty well stocked, though not gourmet. 2 coffee makers but only one works. Blender works great for smoothies and Pina Coladas. The Lanai furniture is old, breaking, and so uncomfortable we did not use. We did use the chairs and snorkel equipment but those were only working somewhat. A rolled up carpet is in the garage right where the driver needs to get out of the car and is tripped over each time. There are 6 beach towels for use, we would have preferred a bit more.
We did use the Hilton pass one day and truly enjoyed that.
The second parking spot is very close to the condo and is easily found.
The laundry area has very nice LG washer and dryer and is in a large and easily accessible closet in the upstairs hallway.
You cannot lower the AC below 74 and while sleeping the upstairs seems a bit warm while the downstairs is very cold.
When sleeping downstairs you can hear the shower, toilets flushing and water running through the walls, Tv's on upstairs and any walking movement. Just giving heads-up so one can make informed decision.
We enjoyed having a few pools and the shore within walking distance. Restaurants nearby were very busy. The owner had communicated ahead of time to make reservations early.
The house is beautiful but it needs maintenance, the bathrooms were not clean, there was too much dust everywhere, I had to take antihistamines everyday during my stay.
