We've stayed at the Cliffs several times and this is the best unit in. Best kept in a great location. We'll be coming back next year.
Great stay! Spacious, charming, and location can’t be beat!
Our stay was amazing. When we checked in the guy at reception said we were in the best unit, to which i said, he probably says that to everyone. He was right! Top floor, out on the end with an unobstructed view and an ocean breeze that kept the place nice and cool. Unit was just as described and owners were amazing.
The property location is great with some beautiful ocean views and a nice breeze that’s almost constant. In addition the grounds around the area give plenty of space to feel like you’re not cramped. I walked quite extensively through Princeville and passed many other properties and was always appreciative when I returned to our location because of its view, quaintness, and proximity to some amazing snorkeling just off the cliff.We used the kitchen extensively and had just about everything that we needed.
We were so happy with our stay. The host was so great at communicating and answering my questions. The view and location were absolutely beautiful. I would recommend this place for sure!
This was our 2nd time staying at Charlene and Roger’s unit and we always enjoy the fabulous accommodations and spectacular views from the lanai. It’s comfortable, clean and Charlene and Roger are excellent hosts who pay attention to details to ensure your stay is top notch. We feel the north shore is the best place to stay on the island in the summer time because there are the most beautiful beaches, hikes and the town of Hanalei is lovely. We will keep coming to Kauai and book with Charlene and Roger again I am sure.
Roger and Charlene were very attentive and helpful, so they were great. It is a great location in Princeville an the beds were comfortable. The property is definitely older an a little run down. The pool is small and when we were there the pool water was cloudy so we didn't use it. It was definitely hard not having AC, not because it was too hot at night, but because you have to leave you windows open so it stays cool and the roosters are so loud starting around 1am most nights. It was hard to get a good night sleep because of that.
Charlene and Roger are the ultimate hosts. Their Hale/Condo is perfection. We are return guests and will return again and again as our funds will allow us. I cannot speak more highly about the hosts. Throughout the whole booking process, arrival, check out they were amazing communicators. We have not one negative things to say about the unit or the hosts. The Harpers have become Ohana to our family!
We loved this condo at The Cliffs for our stay on the north shore! Great location for spending time in Princeville and Hanalei. We had plenty of space for two adults and our two kids (16 and 11). The condo is two short outdoor flights up with no elevator, but not difficult at all. The location in The Cliffs resort is the best in my opinion and we had an amazing view of the ocean. We rarely saw any other guests near our building and i love that it was on the top floor at the end of the building, so no one was staying above us or on one side. Very quiet (except the roosters in the early morning...use the provided fans for white noise!)! We appreciated all the helpful information and recommendations provided by the hosts ahead of our stay. We also were so happy to have access to beach chairs, a beach umbrella, and coolers for the beach (located in closet of primary bedroom). So helpful! And, although I was skeptical that the tradewinds would provide enough of a breeze to make no A/C a non-issue, it actually was incredibly comfortable at all times! Loved having a breeze blowing through the condo! We not only enjoyed this condo, we also enjoyed the AMAZING pool area, basketball courts, shuffleboard and pickleball! I would highly recommend and would stay again with no hesitation if we come back!
We had a great time at this condo in Princeville. The location was amazing - with great views of the ocean and lots of benches/chairs in the back to watch sunrise and sunsets. It never felt too hot with the glass doors open and fans running. We would definitely want to come back to this condo!
This was our first trip to Kauai, and it couldn’t have been more perfect! We have stayed in many short term rentals and this was our favorite for so many reasons. The view was absolutely breathtaking, and we loved hearing the waves crash below the cliff. It is centrally located in beautiful Princeville, which is close to great restaurants, Hanalei, and beautiful beaches. The grounds are amazing, with so much greenery. We used the pools and hot tubs everyday and really enjoyed them. The hale has everything we would ever need for our trip, including kitchenware, beach supplies, and even a first aid kit. We were thrilled to find a pineapple slicer as well! The bed and pillows were comfy as well as all the furniture. It also was relaxing to go out and sit on the chairs to watch the sunset, and there were picnic tables and grills available. We really enjoyed our trip, and would definitely stay here if we return to this amazing island.
Loved our stay at the Cliffs in Princeville. The property is clean, gorgeous view, well stocked kitchen for those that like to cook, everything you need for a trip to the beach or pool, lots of activities on property and nearby. Couldn't have asked for more!

The unit is exactly as described. Well maintained and very clean given the challenges that the tropics/proximity to the ocean create for keeping a clean/functioning place! The owner was fantastic and communicated quickly and frequently when needed. The property is great with tons of offerings, including a lovely set of pools and hot tubs. You won’t regret staying here!
Property owners were up front with everything and the property itself was in the most beautiful setting.Enjoyed our stay and loved the activities around the property.
We loved the location of this property, both on the island and the beautiful grounds. The views from the balcony and the kitchen are amazing, and the grounds have a lot of places where you can sit and watch the coast.There is easy walking to Turtle Cove, Sea Lodge Beach, Hideaway Beach, and shorter drives to all the great beaches up north.The pools were great for our kids and the additional amenities were nice. We didn't end up using the food trucks but that was a nice option.The room itself had enough space for our family and gave us places to be together and also separate. I especially like the balcony off the master suite. We will definitely look at this property again the next time we visit.
We thoroughly enjoyed our week at the Cliffs. The ocean view from the lanai is spectacular rain or shine!! The condo is welcoming, kitchen is well equipped for cooking in and the location is close to many great restaurants. The pool and hot tubs are lovely!!! The hosts are wonderful and communication was very helpful!!
This is a very nice condo with a lovely view of the north shore. Everything was in good condition and kitchen was well supplied with cooking supplies. Roger ( owner) sent several messages before we arrived to pass along tips for things to do in the area, restaurant suggestions, etc. He even sent a photo of what supplies had been left behind by other guests to give us an idea of what we needed to buy for groceries. As it states in the listing, this is a one bedroom, with a loft. There's plenty of sleeping space, however the loft area is open to the main floor. There's a half wall, but if you need more privacy this may not appeal to you. The bathroom for this loft bedroom is on the main floor. If it wasn't for that, this would have been ideal. It was still pretty good! Princeville is on the North shore of Kauai so we did lots of driving as snorkeling and exploring beaches was high on our agenda. We loved our stay at this condo and in Kauai!!
We have stayed in this beautiful condo on several occasions. Great views, and beautifully decorated condo. We love working with Charlene and Roger. They have great communication and response time to any inquiries we have. Can’t wait to stay there again!!
The 6302 unit was perfect. With the ocean view and the noise from waves crashing, each morning and evening were pleasant and enjoyed to the fullest. While there is no AC, with the oceane breeze we did not miss the AC. We were out and about during the day so can’t comment on the stay during the day. The resort is very well kept. Would stay here again.
We were happy with this unit and we enjoyed the location. Coming from Atlanta area, we were skeptical about the lack of air conditioning. Although, other than the initial shock upon arrival (windows and doors were closed, understandably), the room was very comfortable the entire week. No A/C was no issue at all for us.
Speaking of location, short walk to Queens Bath and Turtle Cove. Also, Hanalei Bay area was our favorite and it’s just 10 minute drive.
Owners were great and very responsive. I would recommend this unit.
It was our second stay at Roger and Charlene’s hale with our family (parents and teens) and we will definitely be back a third time. The deck with its fabulous view is a great place to eat, relax and play cards. It’s central to many beaches and activities and the pool and hot tub area is lovely.

This condo located at the Cliffs has incredible views of the ocean right off the lanai. We enjoyed amazing sunrises and sunsets each night just steps from the condo. We also appreciated the beach chairs, coolers and umbrella for our days on the beach. I was a bit nervous about the heat given there is no AC. However there is great air flow and the ocean breezes kept it perfectly comfortable. Roger & Charlene were very responsive to any questions that we had prior to arrival. We will definitely try to book this property the next time we make it to Princeville! Thank you for a wonderful stay!
This property was spot on as advertised. This is really a nice unit. We've stayed in many others at the Cliff's and this one was my favorite. I really liked it because of the view, the supplies to get started, they provided chairs, boogie boards, sand toys, coolers, it was perfectly stocked. It was a very quiet condo too, with a great view. Loved how close it was to the grills. The winds blowing through the condo were just perfect too, we never got hot. The lanai was like an extra room we spent a lot of time out there in the mornings and evenings with coffee and cocktails. The pool is great for families and there is an adult hot tub and a pool in back. Our family also played pickle ball and the young one used the play ground. The basketball court was busy too. I walked Hanalei Bay every morning it was so peaceful and beautiful and close by as well as Anini. The fish market at the Dolphin provided us with awesome fresh fish to grill and we used the grill every night. Don't over think booking this condo unless you are not OK going up to the third floor, the view was worth it, trust me.
We’ve stayed at various units at The Cliffs The views are phenomenal and the location is in the heart of Princeville. Charlene and Roger’s unit is no exception. Begin and end your day whale watching from the lanai, The unit has a well equipped kitchen, comfortable furnishings and everything else you could want for an enjoyable stay. We had a lovely stay. This location in Princeville is quiet but the facilities are great- we grilled up fresh fish we bought in Hanalei, played tennis, used the fitness room and , I did laps in the pool (yes, we had a bit of rain so it was nice to have these things to do) The house is thoughtfully appointed with kitchen gear, boogie board's, even an umbrella. Charlene and Roger were fantastic hosts— the Vrbo reminder system for deposits malfunctioned and River reached out instead. So kind! Highly recommended.
