AMAZING VIEW! Pool was nearby, resort amenities such as shuttle to beach, restaurants were super!
The view from the room is spectacular! You can see the majestic mountains behind Hanalei Bay lying in bed. If you are looking for modern upscale room this is not the place. But if you want a great view, convenient parking, and be close to the pool and the onsite restaurants this place is for you. There is also your own beach that has snorkeling, kayaking and paddle boarding. The beach is about a half mile walk down a hill but it is easy to get a bell hop to take you down in a golf cart. The meals we had the restaurant on site were very good. You can also go the swanky One Hotel for drinks or a meal right next-door.
We loved our stay here. The view is absolutely incredible. It’s a perfect place for two people. Close to town and there’s a lovely private beach! We would absolutely stay here again.
Dave’s place is the perfect romantic getaway for any couple, the views from the balcony were amazing! You could see the bay, sunset, and a waterfall in the distance on the mountains. The unit is exactly as described on the listing!
Hanalie bay resort is fantastic! The views, pool, and Happy Talk lounge outstanding. The staff was very friendly and the host Dave very acommodating. We had a memorable stay. Thanks Dave
This had everything we needed and the view was spectacular!! The room was perfect and had a kitchenette (which was nice but we only used the refrigerator), the bathroom was spacious but we really appreciated the washer and dryer! Hat a bonus to be able to do laundry in the room. If we come back we would love to stay again in this very room. Superb host!

We loved the resort and location of the unit. The view was spectacular and changed throughout the day. Many rainbows! We also enjoyed the wonderful amenities of the resort, including the beach, the view point/fire pit, pool, hot tub, and restaurants (which also have incredible views). It was a peaceful and relaxing place.
Great location at the resort. Overlooking the wonderful pool and Hanalei Bay. Everything you need in the unit...stove, sink, good size minifridge, drip coffee maker, toaster, plates, utensils, etc., plus a/c and a washer and dryer in the unit. Communication with the owner was a breeze...very responsive. Enjoyed our time and looking forward to returning.
Waking up to a rainbow over Hanalei Bay was just the beginning of our beautiful 2-week stay at Dave's Hanalei Bay Resort condo. The view is outstanding; we ate almost every meal on the lanai, and no restaurant's views are better. We cooked most meals on the grills near the pool, which are cleaned daily. Indoors, there is a surprising amount of space and storage, comfortable bed, adequate kitchenette, and huge bathroom. The closeness to the parking lot is perfect. The evening restaurant-parking competition is tricky, but the valets are helpful with moving restaurant customers’ vehicles to let resort guests park. The sound of the rain on the roof at night was delightful. We would definitely stay here again.
This unit was clean & extremely spacious. It has a very small cooking area (but we knew that & didn’t care as we knew we’d be eating out). The owner communicated very well & nice to deal with. All the staff at the resort were wonderful. But nothing tops THE VIEW! It truly might be the best in the entire location. We would 100% rent again!
Loved our stay here! The view from the lanai was jaw-dropping. The resort was beautifully maintained and the pool was super fun. Absolutely no issues with bugs as some others had indicated. You might get some gecko visitors on the lanai, but they're cute! The location of this unit is great as it's close to the lobby, restaurants, and pool. I considered several units on this property but chose this one for the view, kitchenette, and in-unit laundry which came in clutch. Would absolutely stay again!
We loved everything about this place! Room was spacious, Kitchen facilities had microwave, sink and stovetop. Bathroom was nice and roomy. Mattress was awesome and the room was very clean. The view is SPECTACULAR! And David the owner was great to deal with. The grounds at the resort are second to none AND you have private beach access! We are definitely looking forward to returning soon!
Love this property. Convenient amenities on grounds: 2 restaurants, coffee place, tennis/pickel ball courts, small gym, beautiful walking paths & beach access (with courtesy shuttle a plus!) Beautiful view from condo. Super comfy bed. Thanks David, hope to be back soon!
The view was absolutely spectacular. We arrived at night and what a breathtaking view when we woke up. Clean room. We loved our stay. We were bummed by the surprise extra 211 for parking when we checked out.
Nice place to stay with an amazing view only complaint is that they charged me an additional 200 plus bucks to check in and park which I feel like should be included in the cost
loved the view, the condo, the beach, and fantastic snokeling right on the beach. saw a turtle , school of yellow tangs and parrot fish. fabulous
King sized bed was very comfortable. This 3rd Floor Condo offers a faulted ceiling which we liked. Separate shower/commode from main bathroom was nice. The Kitchenette only had a 2 burner stove and did not have a oven. and only had a mini fridge which made cooking a challenge.
We truly enjoyed our stay at the property. The location of the unit was perfect as it was right next to the parking lot and not far from the lobby area and restaurants. The in-unit washer and dryer was very helpful and there were many extras in the closet which, unfortunately, we did not get a chance to use, but knowing they were, there was very nice. It would be helpful if there were some non-slip pads put in the tub as it was slippery for both of us. Great TV and the view was extraordinary! Definitely recommend and no doubt would stay there again.
Having critters in the room very negatively impacted our trip. There was a dead gecko in the bed the first night and a live gecko in the bed the second night. Maintenance brought sticky traps and confirmed there were lots of gecko droppings under the bed, indicating that this was not a new problem. They advised us to move the bed out to the middle of the room so the lizards couldn’t crawl up as easily. There were also live earwigs in the kitchen. We contacted the host about the gecko issue, and his response was: “Realize you are in Hawaii. There are probably a lot more insects, both crawling and flying than you are used to.” This was insulting, as we paid a premium price to stay in what was advertised to be an exceptional place. We travel to tropical destinations about twice a year and have never had an issue like this. This situation made our stay in the room very stressful, and we would never stay there again. Do not believe the listing photos; the room desperately needs to be cleaned and updated. There is a huge gap between the front door and its frame where the bugs and lizards easily come in. There is trash underneath the furniture. The bathtub is old and dirty. Trim around the floor is not correctly attached to the wall. One of the doors has been chewed on. The area and resort grounds were beautiful and well maintained. The layout of the room was nice, and the view was spectacular. These positives did not make up for the discomfort of the dirty and infested room.
Loved the area, resort, amenities, room, and view. This area has an upscale vibe as opposed to Hanalei Bay which has a more laid-back, surfing vibe. The bed was very comfortable and access to this 3rd floor room was very easy from the parking lot. Some parts of the room and stairwell to the room were a bit dated, but all minor. Would love to stay there again.

This unit was very clean, had everything we needed and has a fantastic view.
The unit is in a resort that is a short walk or golf cart ride to the beach! Parking was very close to the unit and Princeville was a wonderful place to stay with great snorkeling at the beach near Hanalei Bay. My partner and I noticed an unpleasant urine smell near the bed but Dave was quick to respond with solutions and short term fixes. The unit was well stocked with towels, soap, beach equipment, and laundry pods for the in unit washer/dryer. Dave said he would have the carpets shampooed so I don’t see this being an issue in the future but it did impact our stay. Overall I would happily stay here again!
