We loved the pool and restaurant. The location is beautiful. We also did events at the Hilton as well as a helicopter flight. Everything is nice and close!
This unit was the best stocked Vrbo I have stayed at. We had everything we needed and more. The extra bedding in the living room would be better if it was set up as a sleeper sofa instead of fouton mats but we made it work. The host was gracious, responsive and easy to work with. The location is fantastic and the facilities, grounds and access are all superb. We would go back again and can’t wait our next trip to the big island.
We enjoyed our stay! The only complaint we had was the floor was dirty when we arrived (made our feet and socks black 😬) so we had to use a container of Lysol Wipes to clean it.
We have stayed in Waikaloa with our family several times and while this is a lovely condo and property,
unfortunately, the Ocean Club pool staff are the most aggressively unfriendly towards families children I’ve ever encountered. Also they are environmentally irresponsible.
You are required to pay $20 a day upon arrival for an access key to the pool facilities, which do not allow outside food or drinks. They have an on-site restaurant, okay fine. But you cannot even bring an empty water bottle to fill there. Not even an empty cup for an 18mo old child. They require you to use disposable cups at their water station to access drinking water. They cite “worrying people will sneak in alcohol” as their reasoning.
My kids are well behaved, not yelling, running, splashing others etc, but were preemptively warned by staff about their rules multiple times because the pool attendant “ thought they might throw a ball, or do xyz ”
I would not recommend to anyone traveling with young children.
The condo itself is beautiful, and it’s such a shame we would not return.
Absolutely loved the place! Stayed here with family for the Lavaman triathlon. The property manager was very accommodating with all of our gear. Great location.
The house was perfect for my family and I. I loved being able to let the kids run out on the patio and play on the grass. We even got to feed a wild turkey from the back door. The rooms we spacious and I loved having a laundry room.
Very nice. However took awhile to get hot water for showers as found that handles were backward. You should let guests know this. We enjoyed the patio and grill. Tanks need to be filled. Will recommend.
Everything was top notch about this rental- it was clean, specious, had everything you need from a fully stocked kitchen to all the beach essentials (towels, chairs, boogie boards, coolers, etc). The beds were comfortable and it was nice that the master was on the other side from the other two bedrooms.
The pool at the property was beautiful with a bar/restaurant on site. Queens and Kings markets were close by as are several beaches.
We enjoyed it immensely and would come back here again.
The condo was perfect for our family’s gathering. The pool was great for kids and adults as well. Nice walking in the neighborhood and to Kings/Queens shops and to A-Bay beach. We’ll likely return!
Everything was absolutely phenomenal! The place was fantastic and suited our family just as advertised. The only bummer was the tennis court and basketball court were unavailable as they were being resurfaced. I understand that was not in the property managers control but it was a bummer as we were looking forward to playing some tennis and shooting some hoops. Everything else was phenomenal
