This property is spacious with a roomy kitchen, separate dining area if wanted, but we congregated either on the lanai or the bar for most of our meals. The bedrooms are comfortable and pleasantly separated with the master bedroom and bath en-suite opposite ends of the house from the other two bedrooms. A full-size laundry room is a bonus,Being halfway between Downtown Kona and Kapau shortened car time so we could easily visit friends or Hilo without worry of returning home tired and in the dark. This was an all around lovely eight days and we highly recommend this home to responsible adults.

House was as advertised. Beautiful views. Close to swimming beaches. Close to stores, but with a rural setting. Sleeping quarters were fantastic and it helped to have 2 and a half bathrooms with a 7 person party.

Spent a week at Hale O' Waikoloa relaxing and enjoying each other's company. We were 3, so had plenty of room to spread out in the house.The master bedroom has a sliding door that opens to the deck with a lovely view of the mountains and ocean. The master bath has 2 sinks, a great bathtub, but the shower head wasn't at all comfortable (stinging and no way to lower the pressure...) The kitchen was pretty well stocked with utensils and appliances, though there were some items that should be always be available; coffee filters for the coffee maker, a vegetable peeler that works... we understand not having plastic wrap for food, but there were no items for covering food to store in the fridge or on the counter-there was a real need for smaller bowls and smaller plates. There were several plates that were usable but were cracked and need to be replaced. We took advantage of the beach towels and chairs; that was very helpful to have on hand!Great location, quiet neighborhood, close to the well stocked store, and other amenities. We enjoyed a dinner at Pueo's Osteria- you may want to make reservations- it was busy even on a Monday evening!All in all we really enjoyed the property; it was clean and well maintained inside; I would be hesitant to bring small children due to the many art objects in every room! Mahalo!

It is a nice place in a great location. We have stayed there once before a couple years ago. We enjoy it. The things I would change (fix) are: 1. The sheets need replaced. They are the same ones from last time and the fitted sheets in the master don't stay. They are too stretched out. I can't speak for the other beds, but I am sure they are in the same boat. The pillows should probably be replaced as well. There's not much to them anymore 2. More shower towels. I am ok with limiting what you provide in regards to toilet paper, laundry detergent, and things of that nature, but shower towels should not have to be brought from home. If it sleeps 6, then have towels for 6. 3. I had to go buy batteries for the thermostat. The batteries were dead. That can be checked regularly. All in all a great time and nice house.
5 of us siblings loved having this special “home away from home” to hang out and laugh together for two weeks! Loved this upscale neighborhood and we enjoyed our morning walks around the golf course every morning!!!

We very much enjoyed staying in this home! The views were beautiful and the house was very clean and well stocked with all the kitchen and laundry supplies needed! It is in a really convenient location, only 15 minuets from the beach, and very close to the road to Mauna Kea and Hilo. The rental company was very friendly and quick to respond to any questions we had during our stay! I highly recommend staying here!

We received the door code the day we were checking in. No problems getting into the home. AC was off when we entered. I turned it on and it did not take very long for the house to cool down. There are basketball hoops right next door. The beds were comfortable. The house was clean. Washer and dryer worked great for our needs. Neighborhood was quiet and peaceful.

Where do I start? The code I was sent to enter the property was incorrect. Fortunately, the cleaning personnel showed up and gave me a correct code, but unfortunately they also stated that the ac was out and didn't know when it would or if it would be fixed. After entering the property I was aghast to find the walls dirty throughout. Due to no ac bugs and animals were throughout the property. The wifi name and password were incorrect to which I had to obtain the info directly from the router. The after hours help was the only actually responsive person I could get hold of, even during regular business hours. The extra beach amenities were either non-existent or broken. Many of the windows we could open up to be able to sleep for ventilation, due to no ac, at night were broken making it unbearable to sleep at times. After the 5th day, the after hours help finally confirmed that they wouldn't be able to fix the ac for another 3months... Horrible service and help from the beginning! Renters beware!!

We were family of five with two teenage daughters enjoyed our stay. Everything was as advertised and all the amenities were great. Place was spacious and comfortable for our vacation. Only gripe we had was that the vegetation has grown which blocked to see the sunset from the deck. Overall we had a wonderful time. Thanks to the property owner for letting us use the place.

Our party of 6 turned out to be a party of 4 but the space was perfect for us. Had a lot of supplies included just in case we had forgotten any and it was very clean. My 5 friends and I stayed at the Cedar House during our weeklong vacation while we were in town for a wedding — and we had a wonderful time! The house is nestled in a neighborhood right next to a park with perfect sunset views of the surrounding mountains and horizon.The house has an open setup and is perfect for 6 people. There’s lots of living space and bathrooms, plus the lanai is heaven - especially for enjoying breakfast in the morning. The area is very peaceful with lots of birds, lizards, and amazing greenery that make it feel like a true getaway! Most of our time was spent in the open kitchen, gathered around the big island where we cooked our meals and had great talks. Nearby is a gas station and grocery store in case you need to pick anything up before exploring the island. There are lots of beaches within 20-30 minutes and Kona is a 40-minute drive away (which is worth it to check out some great food spots). Of course there’s always some things you wish you had while on vacation, but it doesn’t mean it diminished our experience. Luckily the guests before us left behind extra garbage bags and cooking spices, but it would be nice to be provided with basic essentials like paper towels or toilet paper. You really do need to take the trash out nightly because cockroaches will appear. This is not the fault of the homeowners, just the nature of the climate. We had lots of beach supplies provided (snorkels, towels, boogie board) but the listing said there would be a cooler for us to use and there was none to be found. When I messaged the owners via the AirBnb app, they never replied so we ended up having to buy one.Overall we had a great experience. This was an amazing house with lots of room, charm, and many great memories were made! I would definitely recommend this spot for a group coming into town for an event who wants a home base to cook good food and chill out.

The house was perfect for the five of us. We loved being in the neighborhood of Waikoloa Village. Grocery store was handy as well as restaurants. The drive to local beaches was only about 15 minutes. We also loved the location to other small towns nearby.The property manager was very responsive to any needs or questions we had. Since our stay was long, they sent housekeeping in halfway through and that was very nice.
We had a lovely time at this property, we visit Hawaii frequently an have stayed all over the island..The view from here is beautiful. I would recommend a fan or 2 as none of the windows open an a breeze would be nice. But the house overall was lovely.

Our house was a great. There were a few bugs but we emailed and the person in charge of cleaning came right over and laid some sticky traps out. We did see a few more bugs but we were able to deal with it. Beautiful house!!
