Perfect place for our family of four. We will be back.
This is our 2nd stay at the Octocondo - love the property, the decor, the view … layout of bedroom and loft is perfect for families!
We loved all of the Kona themed decor! The condo was clean and well stocked. There weren't any boogie board like advertised, but we found a cheap one at the ABC store that my son loves. We would definitely stay again.
Nice little unit. Had everything we needed. Clean and well equipped.
This is an incredibly quiet community. I was playing music on my phone and received a phone call, email, knock on the door and a notice on the door. Then when drying laundry at 10pm a neighbor angrily knocked on the door. I felt so uncomfortable with the snobbiness and unwelcoming environment I left 2 days early.
This unit is as described and that the pictures show with many accessories that you need for the beach. Having hooks everywhere was so great and helped to keep everything in place and organized during our stay. The loft was perfect for providing separation, but should note that the spiral staircase is pretty narrow and the stairs are a bit tricky to navigate for adults, and I would imagine if there were any mobility issues it would not be a good fit. Some of the beach items are in need of replacement-umbrella and chairs. There are also a lot of rules-some are of the HOA and there really is not the issue of the unit itself, but all the signs reminding of the rules everywhere around the unit made it feel a bit unwelcoming. It would also be nice if some starter items for the kitchen were there-only salt and pepper. A little package (one pot) Kona coffee and maybe sugar would have been a nice start as we arrived late and did not have energy to go to the store after a very long day of travel and maybe some other staples like olive oil and some other spices.
The bathroom door did not lock or even latch so that needs some maintenance as well.
In all, we enjoyed our stay and the location, set up and price were great.
This condo was stunning! Everything was carefully matched and placed to the theme! Even my 3yr old kept calling it our Hawaii Home. I would and WILL stay here again!
Family of three with a teenager. We really enjoyed this place, nice view from the lanai, well furnished and equipped. Be prepared to walk up three flights of stairs. Pool and clubhouse with grills, great ocean side spot with chairs to watch sunset or have morning coffee and watch for whales. Our neighbors two nights were unfortunately loud, but they were not residents, just our bad luck. Great location convenient to everything along Alii Drive.
We loved our stay. The condo had everything we needed, and more. It was clean. Everything worked. The complex is well maintained and everyone we came in contact with was friendly and helpful. Thank you for meeting and exceeding our expectations!
This was a great spot for a family vacation since the kids could walk into town. Great, quiet condo. Beautiful view and well maintained. Very responsive to a couple quick questions we had. We’ll be back!
