This was a great place to stay up North. The place itself is spacious and has everything you need. The beds (both the master and pull out) were very comfortable. The grounds are beautiful and the pool was great for our kid. The walk to the beach is beautiful but you can call for a ride down there if it is too far for you. We would definitely stay here again.
This was our second visit to the island and second time staying at the Hanalei Bay Resort. This condo was absolutely beautiful and the views from the lanei’s were absolutely stunning. Booking this unit with Jeff was the best experience we’ve ever had and he always went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Can’t wait to go back.

Hanalei Bay Resort is a great place to stay on the North Shore and this condo is First Class all the way! The views are incredible!! We originally rented this condo on 2015 when my now husband proposed and this latest trip (April 5, 2024) we got married on Pu’u Poa beach (walking distance from the condo down the trail). It was perfect! Even with the rain! We definitely will be back!
Place was just as described. We spent a week in Kauai and one of my favorite memories will be sitting on the lanai drinking coffee looking at that view. Would definitely stay again
We enjoyed our first stay at HBR in Jeff’s condo (located in Heliconia-15). Jeff is a thoughtful host who has beautifully furnished this condo with comfortable furniture, old-Hawai’i inspired decor, and nice patio sets. The kitchen was well-equipped for cooking our own meals. The king size bed was firm and supportive, and there were lots of pillows and blankets available. The pros of being in Heliconia-15 are: close to parking lot, main building, pools, and grilling station. This unit is also is a top-floor, corner unit with views of the Na Pali mountains. The view of the jungle from the lanais was stunning. Despite all this, the cons of this location would prevent us from staying in Heliconia-15 again. It is immediately behind the main building where a massive HVAC system provides a constant thrumming sound. The flurry of golf carts coming to/from the service area adjacent to the HVAC meant that noise was ongoing and reduced the privacy of this unit. Finally, a single ramp provides level-entry to Heliconia-15 and this unit is the first one, so everyone coming to/from this block walks past this unit. The thumping from foot falls are audible in the bedroom while trying to sleep. We are still giving 5 stars because this is not within Jeff’s control, and every block in HBR has pros and cons - you just have to find what’s right for your family. Jeff is an amazing host and we would gladly stay with him again in another one of his properties. Mahalo!
Beautiful location and property. You will not be disappointed... Just be aware of the fees, cleaning, checkin and parking. I will be back but next time for a longer stay.
Great communication from the host and an easy check-in. Priceless, practically unobstructed view of the mountains from back lanai! 100% recommend for north shore stays.
The location of HBR is great for all the activities I was looking forward to in Kauai, which were hiking, surfing, and swimming/snorkeling. The Happy Talk Lounge was a great place to eat and get drinks while outdoors overlooking the property and Hanalei Bay. The room itself is in a great location for parking and roaming around the resort to the pool, hot tub, beach, fitness center, front desk, and Happy Talk Lounge. It also has an amazing view of the lush forest with the mountains in the background.
