The location of this condo was great, nice area with a central location. The biggest issue we had is this condo is not fully air conditioned. There is a window unit in each bedroom and a small unit upstairs in the open loft area. There is no air conditioning in the main area. We were instructed to leave the back door and kitchen window open (and front door when we were there), which did not provide enough breeze to combat the heat/humidity. I stayed with my teenage boys and my 80 year old parents. It was uncomfortable for me, I felt bad for my parents. If you want actual air conditioning do not stay at this condo. The other frustration, I received a text message from the property management at 7:20pm on the day of arrival that we may receive a delivery of a fridge that night. I responded to please have it delivered asap as it was 10:20pm our time and we had been traveling all day. No delivery. We were contacted again about a second delivery which we said we were not available to accept. I received a phone message (3rd time contacted) at 7:40am stating Lowes would be delivering a fridge, 15 minutes later they showed up. There was issues with copper wiring, turning off water, the fridge had to be dismantled to fit. Apparently these were our problems to deal with. Otherwise, we had a nice trip but I wouldn't stay here again.
Very nice condo. Beds were comfortable. Loft beds were very small for older children. Living space was spacious. Lanai was awesome. Kitchen was well supplied. Beach and pool supplies were appreciated, but the snorkel masks were broken. A/C in bedrooms was nice, but, main living space was very hot even with fans. The condo is in a great location.
Our Kona experience was wonderful. The vrbo was amazing. It was clean and had everything we needed. Air conditioning in the rooms was a life saver. Our family stayed for 9 days and it was so good to arrive and have a warm welcome. We will definitely book again in the future.
The place was perfect and the customer service was second to none. The property management was extremely responsive and helpful. We highly recommend staying here!
It's a good house for family of 6. Perfect location, close to beach, restaurant and shopping. Beautiful ocean view from the balcony. Very quiet neighborhood.

Amazing view and relaxing vibe
Starting off with the Pros. Cleanliness was great with nice fresh linnens. The condo was well stocked with beach items (umbrella, chairs, boogie boards, beach towels etc.). We enjoyed the three pools which seemed well maintained other than one of the three hot tubs. Excellent views of the golf course and ocean. Quiet and respectful neighbours. Lots of parking and close to beaches and shopping.
Cons: for the price (and in general) we would expect more functionality. The AC was not good. The upstairs bedroom had none, and the AC in one of the main bedrooms did not work properly and made a lot of beeping noises all night. With regards to the upstairs “bedroom” there were no blinds on any of the windows and the beds are not suited for adults (very short twin beds). Appliances are dated, the oven never came to temperature and the door didn’t close properly. The fridge also could not keep food very cold. Bathroom door lock did not latch properly. Dishwasher would run for hours on end unless we stopped it ourselves. One of the taps leaked in the kitchen. The tight spiral staircase isn’t great for hauling up luggage. The fire alarm beeped and when we asked for it to be looked at, we were dropped off batteries. After changing the batteries the alarm kept beeping. Communication was still prompt from the owner but nothing was going to be resolved during our stay.
This can be an excellent rental, we have stayed in a few different units in this building but this one needs some work.
The condo unit was the perfect base for us to call home as we explored the Big Island for the first time.
Beds were comfortable, kitchen was well stocked. It is close to the best snorkleing spot on the island (Captain Cook), and centally located so you can venture to either side of the island.
I highly recommend.
Overall a great stay & will gladly recommend this apartment!
A couple of things to note that weren't obvious from the description; the 3rd "bedroom" is an open loft above the living room with no doors or privacy. We made it work but take this into account if your crew has sensitive sleepers. Country Club Villas are actually an apartment complex and this unit is on the third floor of the 3-story building. It has direct neighbors on both sides as well as below, but it was still very quiet and pleasant. Most noise comes from the adjacent golf course as they mow the lawns most mornings.
Apartment shows age but it is regardless very pleasant and well-functioning. Kitchen is very well equipped, wifi was fast and reliable, and we were very appreciative of the beach gear (chairs, towels, umbrella, cooler.. even boogie boards and snorkeling gear!) available to use. Location is excellent for island exploration. Keuhuou shopping center has a supermarket, a drugstore and a couple of restaurants a few hundred yards away.
