Chung Cottage
This family-friendly property features a large fenced yard and a covered outdoor dining area. Located a short walk from beautiful Hanalei Bay and also close to Hanalei town with lots of shops, restaurants, food markets and the public Kauai Bus stop. One bedroom, one and a half bath. There is a Queen bed and a single bed in the guest bedroom. The living room couches are also single beds - with sleeping for 5 guests. The Cottage comes fully equipped with a kitchen, full size washer/dryer, a flat screen Smart TV and DVD player, and WiFi. There is also a Weber charcoal grill (and a great fish market located in Hanalei town) and beach chairs, mats, and beach towels.

The Chung Cottage was an amazing home base for our adventures in Hanalei. The Cottage was very clean and had everything we needed for the week. Everything in the home was in working order. We Made use of the beach chairs and boogies boards daily. The porch was great place to sip coffee in the morning and chill out in the evenings The location is simply fantastic. 2 minutes to the beach and maybe five to the village. We would not hesitate to book again.

The Chung cottage allows for easy walking to the beach and Hanalei. We enjoyed the partial mountain views from the patio. We would love to stay again.

This little house is the best deal in Hanalei Bay. My brother, who has lived in the area for 40 years, couldn't believe what a deal we were getting. Highly recommend.

Cottage is just a block from the beach which is a huge selling point, but the road and traffic can get noisy. It has basic amenities, and is clean and comfortable. The layout is a bit odd, with the shower separate from the upstairs bathroom, and the dining area down a few steps in the converted carport. Overall, worth the price.

You can’t get a better location and price! The cottage has everything you need for your stay and the management is so helpful and kind. Space is very clean and comfortable. Just what you need after being outside all day enjoying Kauai. You can walk anuwhere in Hanalei, the town center or shopping and eating while only being a block away from the bay. I’ll be back!👏🏻😃🌺

If you are looking for a cozy beach get-a -way this is THE SPOT! a one minute walk to beach, and a two- three minute walk to the town. So beautiful and magical. Just wish we had another week. A win-win for all to enjoy!!

Victoria and I have stayed in the Chung Cottage every year at this time with very few exceptions since the year 2000. It remains the perfect size, perfect location and perfect arrangement for relaxation and for our individual work situations. We enjoy the song birds, White Rumped Shamas and even the Doves. It is very easy to walk to the beach, or to downtown Hanalei. The Cottage is clean and well maintained. We had another very good stay in 2024.
