Beautiful home! The huge covered lanai was lovely. We spent a lot of time out there. Everything we needed and the location was great. We will definitely be back.
We really enjoyed our stay. The home was beautiful, extremely clean and well-stocked. The gardeners do a wonderful job maintaining the lush grounds. Excellent proximity to Hawaii Volcanos National Park.

The proximity to the eruption allowed us to jump over in the middle of the night to witness this once in a lifetime opportunity. Everyone loved the landscaping and surrounding rainforest. The wood interior was lovely. Thank you for having our family stay.
The cabin has everything you could need for a day at the Volcano or at the beach. It is so cozy and comfortable. Lorena has thought of everything. The property is so private but absolutely beautiful. You have amazing garden views from each room. The fans in each room were wonderful as well. We will definitely be coming back.

The rooms are all nice and beds are comfy. The best part was being able to return to this lovely home after a long daybout hiking (some of that in the rain), and be able to soak in the hot tub, then cozy by the woid burning stove (and drybout our wet hiking stuff). Aloha Sweet Hale is quiet and located in a natural setting.This home is clean, very comfortable and well organized. Lorena has thought of everything that you would need during your stay. For the chilly mornings at breakfast, we would use the electric heater provided. Lorena is a great communicator. The artwork is amazing. We were so grateful for the washer and dryer. On our last night/last day, the Volcano erupted. Our family went to the Jagger Museum area to watch. Raining and very few people at that time (4 am). We plan on coming back next year.THANKS LORENA!!!
This was an ideal spot for two couples who wanted to explore the park (and stay on alert for the eruption, which we did see!) but have a very comfortable home to return to, just minutes from the park. We made good use of the wood stove, the hot tub and the well stocked kitchen. Lorena is a very attentive and responsive host. We had a little mix up about the lock box code, but she answered her cell phone immediately and talked us through it. Would definitely recommend.

This is an amazing property six minutes from the park entrance. We spent the whole day exploring the park. After a relaxing dinner and soak in the hot tub to soothe some sore muscles I was just about to call it a night. I just couldn’t get enough of the stars on the night sky. I headed out for one last look and the sky was glowing red. ten minutes later we were back in the park watching an amazing eruption. It was amazing.
This property was so peaceful. We enjoyed hearing the birds and sitting in the jacuzzi at night. The home was immaculate and beautiful. The beds were so comfy and we will stay here again in the future. If you need a relaxing place to unwind near Volcanic National Park and Hilo, this place is for you!
The home worked great for us. Two adult couples visiting the island. We were looking for a place close to the national park. On the day we arrived, there was a torrential rain storm the entire day. The host was able to get us into the house early which was super helpful since touring was not an option. We enjoyed the hot tub and playing cards to pass the day.
Beautiful landscaping. Lots of room. And the full size washer/dryer was much appreciated.
My brother stayed in this property a few years ago & when I told him we were going to big island he immediately sent me the link & said that “WE HAD TO STAY HERE”. He said it was the highlight of his trip when he visited. So we booked it!
The host was great at communication with us… sent us check in instructions via text at the perfect times so I didn’t have to dig through my emails to find what to do after a long day of traveling & driving.
The property itself is serene & magical. I walked outside a few times & explored around the home just by myself to appreciate the beautiful landscaping, soft winds, bright stars & sounds of the birds & frogs. Being someone who’s always lived in the city/suburbs it was such a different experience that I wish I can bottle up & keep with me whenever I needed to feel peace & tranquility.
My kids (5 & 7) loved the house too. The sounds of the frogs at night were amazing. We kept the windows open & just enjoyed the sounds. We got to see wild pigs from a distance & the kids loved that too.
The house is super close by to the volcano National park. We got to go there twice- once at night and once during the day to do a hike.
Only bummer was that when we went the jacuzzi unexpectedly wasn’t working. They quickly sent out a technician to fix it bu it needed a part so we didn’t get to use it during our stay. My brother said it was so nice when he stayed and used the jacuzzi so I was looking forward to that.
Very beautiful property that is just minutes to the park entrance. Everything was super clean and the beds/bedding were all very comfortable. We didn’t cook but the kitchen seemed to be well stocked (and very tidy!). We also didn’t use the hot tub but it too looked super clean (unlike most places we’ve stayed). The sound of the tree frogs at night is magical! Would not hesitate to stay here again.

Loved this place. It was a perfect jumping off point to explore the Volcano National Park and black sand beach.
Of the four houses we rented over three islands this was without a doubt our favorite.
We loved the wood stove the landscaping and the quiet relaxing environment. The house was lovely and well thought out. The beds were very comfortable and the house was clean and comfortable. My only negative is the appliances seem over worked and loud and could use an upgrade. I understand the need for cameras but the one facing the back door seemed to take in the hot tub and it felt a bit intrusive. Other than that we loved our short stay. Thank you.
I have stayed here twice. Both times my expectations were exceeded. The serenity of this property makes a 'vacation' really feel like a VACATION!
