The "Akai Beach House" is a beautiful 5 bedroom 4 bath home that sleeps 14 with ocean views, a pool, air conditioning and a large game room in the garage. Enjoy ping pong and foosball, or relax on the couch and watch TV in the game room. Magic Sands Beach - the best sandy beach in Kona - is an easy 5 minute walk from home offering swimming, sunbathing, boogie boarding and beach volleyball. ) The home has two full kitchens, one upstairs and one downstairs with two separate living rooms. It is like renting a full 3 bedroom and another full 2 bedroom house.
Perfect for multi-family and/or a multi-generational stay. Upstairs, there are 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, full kitchen and living room. Downstairs, there are 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, kitchen and living room. There is a washer/dryer both upstairs and downstairs. 4 bedrooms have spacious California King sized beds and one has a queen. Additionally, there are two double/queen sized futon couches in the upstairs living room. Further, we offer several padded cots for guests to use throughout the home. Great ocean views and sunsets from the upstairs living room, dining room, bedrooms and pool. Watch the sunset while lounging around the pool! Pool has a nice deck area with a bbq for family cookouts. Great snorkeling and surfing are only a half mile away at Kahaluu Bay, just south of our home. 5 miles from the Keauhou Shopping center to the South. Accordingly, you can quickly access grocery stores and places to eat. You also can walk to Magics Grill (at Magic Sands Beach) for cocktails and dinner, with amazing ocean views. The house has ample parking and is located on a quiet street. for guests to enjoy. The house was remodeled in October 2022 with new flooring, AC, interior paint and many new furnishings.

This place is just fabulous. What you see is what you get! The home is beautiful and perfectly located. This home is a steal of a deal excellent bedding honestly if feels like you’re home. I did not have to reach out not once upon arrival it was nothing but peace joy and tranquility from start to finish. If we go back to Kona I know where I’m staying.

Overall the vacation was amazing....the house, the location and everything in-between.When I began searching for a vacation home for our family of nine, I encountered some challenges. Initially, I attempted to book a smaller home, believing it would suffice. However, due to Hawaii laws, I was informed that I needed to book a home that could accommodate all nine of us. After continued searching, I discovered the Beautiful Ocean Views 5 Bedroom Sleeps 14 home and proceeded with the booking.Upon reviewing the charges, I noticed a 500 USD (over 700 Canadian) fee for an additional guest, despite booking for only nine guests in a property that accommodates up to fourteen. The property details did not indicate any fees for more than eight guests, which I found misleading. I believe such information should be clearly included in the property details.After contacting the host, I received the following response:Our house, like most in the Kona area, has a base rate that applies for up to 8 guests. After that, we have an extra guest fee of 50/night per guest over 8 with a maximum of 14. That amount was listed in the quote you reviewed prior to when you requested to book.While I understand and respect local laws, I maintain that this crucial detail should have been explicitly stated in the property description.Regards,

My family (7 total) and I booked this house for a family beach vacation. The home was absolutely perfect for our needs. The owners are very responsive. Instructions are clear and easy to follow. The home is stocked with anything you would need (outside of food). There were extra pillows and blankets, tons of beach accessories, coolers, chairs, etc. We all loved this rental and would absolutely stay here again if given the chance. You will not request this stay! The only advice is if you are booking this for the beach just know that in the winter there isn’t a lot of sand at the beach. It wasn’t a deal breaker for us as there are a lot of little coves to snorkel in around the town.

Perfect space for large family trip. We enjoyed the serenity of the neighborhood and view of ocean and sunsets. House was equipped with everything needed for cooking and toys for enjoying the beach and the pool. Hosts were not present but responded quickly when contacted.

Everything was as advertised. The pool was clean and delightful. The kitchen is great for multiple cooks and all 10 of us fit easily at the table. The house was exceptionally clean and in a lovely neighborhood. Would stay here again and will recommend it to others for a big family gathering.

This place feels like home in the island. Came well-equipped with water sports amneities, like beach chairs, mats & umbrellas. We also enjoyed the gameroom. However, would need better exterior lighting to access both levels. All together it was just amazing!

We were a group of nine staying at the property over Thanksgiving. One daughter and our three grandsons occupied the lower space, which provided them (and us) a nice separation. We gathered for meals and games in the upper living space. The pool was a huge hit with the boys. ( and adults). We made several walks to Magic Sand Beach and drove to a few other favorite Kona beaches. We all had a great time and the house worked perfect for us.

We enjoyed our first time in the big island with our family of 8. We enjoyed the large space here. There were plenty of furniture to accommodate everyone. It was a plus having 3 bedrooms with its own bathroom. Occasionally we were welcomed by little geckos which our toddler loved to look at. The outdoor space is beautiful and our family got to enjoy the pool and hang out at the poolside. It was convenient two kitchens and washers and dryers on both the first and second level. We were overall pleased with our stay here.

The place is not always the cleanest! This was our second time staying there. The place needs a deep clean and new chairs upstairs.
We love this house and we love the location and plan on staying again next year!
