Everything was what we wanted
Perfect , will come back again
We really enjoyed our stay. Activities & games and a pool were fun for the whole family. We had an ocean view condo which was pleasant. The place was well equipped.
My husband and I toured the entire island while we were there, we both agreed our location was a hidden gem. Beach was quiet, steps away from our door. The ground amenities was fabulous, lots to do at the condo for those who want a day off to relax. Walking distance to lots of shopping and restaurants. I would go back again. Great for all ages.

We have stayed at Pono Kai previously, so we knew what to expect. The property is immaculate, the gardens are so well maintained. The units themselves are clean and tidy, but do show some age and wear. There is very little soundproofing between the rooms, so bring ear plugs.
The kitchen had all dishes and pans that we needed, and we cooked often. The only food/spices provided are salt and pepper. The mid-week clean was fast and much appreciated. The pool area checks out towels and games. Chairs, boogie boards, umbrellas, and snorkel gear are available from the Activities desk for 1, 3, or 7 day rental.
Overall experience was excellent. Property manager was very helpful with good communication. While the property is older it is well maintained. Central location with stores and restaurants nearby.
The ocean front setting is the best part other wise the furnishings are dated and tired. The kitchen basic. The bedroom blackout curtains don’t totally block the hallway lights. Not excellent. There was no need to contact property manager.
Enjoyed our stay despite the weather. Location great to get all over the island, a car is definitely needed. View and beach trail were beautiful. Wonderful Mexican restaurant right next door. We couldn’t get the A/C unit in living room to work but didn’t say anything since weather was cool enough and had sliding doors open most of the time. No a/c in bedroom, A fan was provided which was helpful since the room could get stuffy. The bedroom window opened up right at the outside staircase not providing for privacy or feel of safety. Well stocked kitchen. Sofa bed mattress needs replacing.
