Wake up to koi ponds and tropical gardens just outside your door. This 2BR condo at Papakea Resort puts you 100 yards from the ocean and a short walk to food trucks, coffee shops, and the beach. Spend your days snorkeling, swimming in the resort pools, or playing tennis. Evenings are for grilling poolside or dining in one of the outdoor cabanas or on your private lanai.
For active fun, play a game on one of our lighted tennis, pickleball, and shuffleboard courts, two putting greens, wander by the Koi ponds, or warm up in the spas.

BEACHES & LOCAL WILDLIFE:
Beach conditions in Hawaiʻi can vary throughout the year due to weather, surf, currents, and tides, so shoreline size and accessibility may change during your stay.
Due to Maui’s rural environment, you may encounter occasional wildlife such as roosters and small geckos. Geckos are harmless, help control insects, and are considered a symbol of good luck in Hawaiʻi—please do not harm them.
While the HOA provides regular professional pest control, the tropical climate means that insects such as ants, roaches, and occasional rodents cannot be entirely eliminated. If you experience pest activity beyond what is typically expected, we will make every reasonable effort to coordinate with the HOA to address the issue. However, the presence of pests, inside or outside the unit, does not constitute a breach of this Agreement or qualify for any refund or rental adjustment.
SURROUNDINGS & UTILITIES:
We cannot guarantee that neighboring properties will be free from disturbances, including but not limited to noise from construction, traffic, or other residents and guests. Such occurrences do not constitute a breach of this Agreement or entitle guests to refunds or adjustments.
By booking your stay, you acknowledge that the Host is not liable for inconveniences caused by temporary interruptions or failures of utilities or services—including water, electricity, air conditioning, or plumbing—when such issues are beyond the Host’s control.
The Host is also not responsible for loss or damage to personal property due to weather, natural events, or other unforeseen circumstances. Additionally, cable and internet service in the unit may occasionally be unreliable; interruptions in these services do not qualify for refunds or rental adjustments.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our rental experience was pretty amazing! I WISH the check out was one more hour (10am check out was a challenge) but the clean up list/requests wasn’t crazy. The condo was stocked with lots of essentials in the kitchen. They also had several hairdryers and curling irons, so save room in your bags and leave yours home! Was kinda bummed both snorkel masks in the condo leaked. The umbrella was also flimsy and just blew inside out. One of the lawn chairs was also broke. The boogie boards were fun! Definitely check out the gear first day so you can go rent gear that you need. The place was clean and was in a great location! Bed was a bit uncomfortable, and had a piece of plywood to give it more structure? Living room couch SUPER rock hard and uncomfortable.
Great unit in a great location. A few issues came up but staff was responsive. AC only in living room but if you set up fans you can direct some of the cold to the bedrooms.
The unit was in good condition & comfortable.We liked having a garden unit especially with kids.There were beach chairs & towels which made it very convenientThe air conditioner was only in the front room, but the ceiling fans and box fan kept the back rooms cool.The window coverings were nice & were sufficient for blocking out sun & lightThe screen door for the slider was very difficult to open & close. The patio was a bit crowded as there were several chairs and 2 tables. We think it would be easier to navigate with a couple less chairs or a smaller table. We had a great stay and would gladly return.

We loved sipping coffee on the lanai each morning watch the sea and sunshine and sometimes rainbows. The beds were very comfy. We did not have a problem but travelers need to know that the bedrooms are not air conditioned. The option of fans and open windows worked well.

Nice condo with ground level access and the lanai opens out to a koi pond. It is close to the pool that has bbqs and also about 200 yards from the beach. Awesome place and location!
Came for a few birthdays with friends and the pool area was great to bbq and celebrate. Great location. We have stayed at papakea 4 times now and our kids love it. If you love poke go to food farm's store by Ross. So much cheeper and easy better than maui fosh market. Also love the medditeranian pizza place by the times market. Over all great stay
Our family had a great time at Papakea. The condo had everything we needed for our stay in the Kaanapali area. There is no beach directly in front of the condo complex, but you can access some a smaller beach directly next to the condos and then the larger Kaanaapali beach and boardwalk in a 10-minute walk. We watched beautiful sunsets and saw whales in the distance and turtles swimming by - all from the seawall / grassy lawn area! It's a nice, quiet condo and a great home base to explore the area.
Perfect ground level for my 81 year old Mom with mobility issues; peaceful property. Kitchen stocked with everything we needed including a blender! Awesome to have two boogie boards and beach towels and beach chairs to use. We had 7 total people and were very comfortable.
