Hale Mahina means “house of the moon” in the Hawaiian language and this updated beach retreat is your ticket to “Live Aloha”! Stainless steel appliances, including large refrigerator (for the Costco stop) with ice maker, carpet, granite counters and much Aloha! This slice of paradise will give you an ocean view with private gated pool and jacuzzi plus beautiful tropical garden to relax and lounge in the sun. Wake up to a beautiful mountain view from the bedroom of this end corner unit. Large windows allow tropical breezes throughout the condo to experience true Hawaiian ambiance. Free Wi-Fi, cable TV, parking and washer/dryer included. The condominium is located on a fabulous piece of paradise, with the beach less than 40 feet from the ocean's soothing waves. As the sand naturally ebbs and flows seasonally with the swells the level of the beach access may vary. Enjoy going to sleep to the sounds of the ocean - step out onto your own private lanai for a cup of coffee in the morning, a glass of wine in the evening or enjoy the beach view from the hot tub or pool! Tropical ocean breezes, beautiful, picture perfect sunsets and panoramic views of the islands of Lanai and Molokai from this oceanfront unit.
Watch the whales during the winter months - the protected green sea turtles are often present as they seek refuge in our cove. The changing ocean will dictate the frequency of the turtles resting on the beach. Slow down (“This Ain’t the Mainland”) and enjoy BBQ area with ocean side dining. Located at the north end of Kaanapali Beach. Maui is home to some of the world’s best golf courses. Two of the world’s most famous golf destinations are within two miles of our condo, each with countless panoramic views of the ocean and island scenery. Kaanapali Golf Courses are in the Kaanapali Beach Resort in West Maui, less than two miles south of our condo. Kapalua Golf courses are located less than two miles north of the condo! Play tennis just a few minutes away or shop at Whalers Village, only a ten-minute drive. Shop for fine art, that special piece of Hawaiian jewelry and mementos to take back to friends and family. Full-service grocery stores are close, fresh fish market and fantastic coffee! West Maui offers many warm water beaches such as Kapalua, Napili Bay, Black Rock, and D. T. Fleming. Tennis, surfboard and snorkel rentals, dinner cruises, fishing, and tons of other activities are also available nearby. No visit to Hawaii is complete without attending one of the many Hawaiian Sunset Luau's! Enjoy Fine Dining and Entertainment, Hawaiian Style! There are several Luaus within 2-5 miles including the world famous 'Old Lahaina Luau'. All these Luaus are celebrated at the oceans edge! Where the Mai Tai’s and Blue Hawaiians flow and the Hula Dancing and Music go on for hours! While dinning on traditional Hawaiian Foods! Just a short drive to Maalaea Harbors where you can join an amazing snorkel cruise to Molokai or Lanai, or a fun filled sunset dinner or cocktail cruise for celebrating special occasions!
Every ocean and mountain activity imaginable is at your fingertips. World-renowned restaurants; premiere golf courses; fine art galleries and famous resorts and spas are all within minutes. All occupants must comply with the owner's rules, complex rules and rental agreement provided. Security cameras are in place. Parking area, entrance gate and pool/jacuzzi are monitored to ensure the best experience for all guests.
Group bookings of multiple units must be approved in advance by the owner and management. Property is geared toward adults. (Rate will vary depending on length of stay and time of year. Please inquire with your dates for an accurate quote.)

Excellent property. Not crowded. Saw several turtles on the beach. Pool was clean. Condo was clean. Kitchen and bathroom updated. Great time!
Had a great at time at the temporary home. The place has a great view of the beach and sunset. It was nice to have an exclusive portion of beach. Each day we went to the beach we saw turtle(s) slowly making their way toward the retaining wall and steps. Kitchen was well stocked which utensils, plates, bowls, cookware and all major appliances.
Great location. Condo has everything you need. Close to golf course and grocery stores. Nice private beach for swimming.
My husband and I decided to return to Hale Mahina to celebrate our milestone birthdays, however opted for a higher level this time in order to take full advantage of whale watching from the lanai. The unit was exactly as described and well equipped with all of the necessary amenities. Greg and Vonda were very responsive to our questions prior to our arrival, with no contact necessary during our stay in paradise.
The property was amazing and in a great location. This is our 2nd time staying at this property. Would highly recommend it. Every day was a turtle day.
Love these condos! Located on a small private property with beach access. Condo was very nice and clean when we arrived, well stocked, great refrigerator and kitchen, comfortable bed and furniture, and a perfect view of the ocean. Also, even though there is no AC, there are plenty of fans and the breeze from the ocean. This was our first time in March, and loved the whale sightings each day, along with daily turtles as well. Greg and Vonda were very easy to communicate with and helpful throughout the entire process. Had a wonderful time!

I think we found a little piece of heaven. Great condo right on the ocean. The condo itself was clean, well equipped. The owners were responsive and helpful. But what made the place was the location, right on the beach with great snorkeling, whale watching etc.
Pictures on VRBO are accurate, kitchen fully stocked, being an end unit the tradewinds kept the unit cool ( no A/C). Watched whales from lanai, also had turtles on beach several days. Only negative not a lot of beach if you like to walk, however food trucks, stores, other beach areas all within walking distance. Owners were very responsive when a couple of issues came up, immediately took care of them. Enjoyed our stay.
We had NO idea that this condo had no a.c. When we arrived l almost started crying because we had a very warm twelve day vacation to get through with no a.c. & high humidity. Also the only bed was queen size. The couch in the living room needed updating as it is quite uncomfortable. The kitchen and bath were updated & very nice, but the rest of the condo needs updating. Way to many outdated decorative items that cluttered up the rooms collecting dust that made me sneeze a lot. I'm sorry today all this, but the truth is the truth. As for location & on site amenities, we loved it. The view from the balcony was spectacular & the beach & pool were perfect. We shot many outstanding sunset photos from the balcony.
The condo was clean and definitely had the updated feel - the furniture and the decor was a bit dated but was fitting of a beach front condo in Maui. We overlooked the lack of AC in the unit - but again the unit was equipped with tons of fans. You’ll need them. We set up at least 2 in each room, even the bathroom. The unit has a washer and dryer which were also useful. The unit does not have any beach equipment - so come prepared or plan to make a stop at Walmart or Target. The beach and pool were nice - short walk away - enjoyed the convenience of this. The host was responsive but his responses were often delayed. Overall it was a nice condo - no real issues - we would stay here again.
