The Neighborhood:
Nohonani sits along the West Maui shoreline in the Honokowai area, between the energy of Kaanapali and the quieter beaches farther north. Honokowai Beach Park and small local markets are nearby, while Kaanapali Beach and Whalers Village are a short drive south for bigger beach days, dining, and shopping. Conditions vary along this rocky coast, so it is wise to check the water before swimming. The real advantage is the oceanfront rhythm: coffee with the surf, whale watching in season, and sunset color across the channel.
Getting Around:
Kahului Airport is about 40 to 45 minutes away along Maui's scenic west side coastline. A rental car is recommended to reach beaches, shopping, and dining spread along the coast. Front Street and the historic town center are walkable with charming shops and restaurants, while nearby beaches are often just minutes away. Parking is typically available in lots, though it can fill up in town.

Great location with easy access to get around the island and plenty of restaurants and food trucks to grab meals. The small stretch of beach is lovely and we saw many turtles and we lost count of the whales, including babies! We had beautiful sunsets every night. The lanai is directly over the pool so there can be a bit of noise at times. We appreciated the washer and dryer and the beds were very clean and comfy. We would stay again!
We stayed a week in this beautiful location and absolutely loved it. The condo was well equipped with everything we needed for cooking, and we appreciated the small supply of coffee provided to get us started. The ocean breezes kept the condo comfortably cool most nights, and the fans helped as well. The only minor drawback was that the ceiling fans seemed to have a mind of their own, occasionally stopping or turning their lights on and off. We enjoyed snorkeling right from the beach in front of the condo and at the nearby park. The fish market restaurant within walking distance was a highlight, and having a consistently available parking spot was a big plus. The property managers were also very helpful. Overall, we loved our stay and would happily return.
The condo was well stocked with supplies and was very clean.
Place was very clean! We appreciated that a lot. Kitchen was well stocked. Frustrated that the fan in the main bedroom wasn’t working and it never got fixed while we were there. It was hot in the unit and surprisingly there was not a real breeze. Someone finally reached back out 4 days into the stay but it still didn’t get fixed. The waves were SO loud it actually woke me up a lot at night. But that was my issue! Location was perfect.
We were here for 6 days and it was just perfect. The location is right on the water with beach access. It is close to town/food/supplies. The unit had everything we needed for a week at the beach. Spent every morning drinking coffee and watching turtles from the lanai. Snorkeling was excellent right at our little beach. We found and used the guide books in the house. The coffee and chocolates were a perfect treat!
We loved the location, the pool, and the easy beach access. While dated, most of the amenities were nice as well. Some small items (screen door off rail/broken, kitchen sink only in “shower” mode vs stream, etc) could use some care to make this home top notch. All in all, a great place where we would like to stay again.
We had a great time. Views cannot be beat, pool was warm, ocean was inviting. Saw a few whales and lots of turtles in the afternoons right off the shore.

Enjoyed the ocean sound and private beach. Heated pool is an add on which we enjoyed the most. Neat, nice and clean facility. You can’t find a piece of trash on this property. Basic, simple and nostalgic
