This property was perfect for our family. We enjoyed the proximity to food/coffee/shops. It was short drive to some great snorkeling. We liked the fact that it overlooked a public park which made for some enjoyable entertainment. We didn't have to cross a road to access the beach. The description is accurate. Thank you, we had a wonderful first trip to Maui!
We had such a relaxing time at Hale kai. We even tried extending our trip an extra day! We watched the sea turtles swim every time our children were in the swimming pool, had a seal napping on the beach that we could see from the lanai, and saw beautiful sunsets each night! The condo was spacious and welcoming, and we loved sleeping with the windows open and listening to the waves. If we ever get the opportunity to travel to Maui again, I would love to stay there!
This was a fantastic place to stay. It is right on the beach and backs onto a lovely park that is full of good energy. Ocean is usually quite calm and pretty good to snorkel and there is always turtles to see.Owner is very good and very quick to respond to anything. 6 out of 5 stars…very recommended.
Great location, nice unit. Easy communication with property management. Would use for a short stay again
Loved the overlook to the park. Bummer the pool was closed at night because lights weren't working.
I liked the area, especially since you can walk to get coffee with a fabulous bakery right down the street.
Was such a nice little place to stay in a great location. We LOVED having the beach right there - utilized it up until the last second! Incredible communication from the property owners. No complaints!
Nothing fancy, but all the essentials provided for a short stay. Comfortable bed. Backs to a park. Small bathroom that could be updated, bathtub refinished . Nice common pool right along ocean. Second floor of two story complex, so no one above you. Good stay for the price compared to all other options. Mahalo.
Our only complaint was because the bedroom faced the wall of the next building, everything echoed. We could hear conversations next door, children screaming, late-nighters returning, and lots of traffic made it hard to distinguish between waves crashing or traffic passing. But that king bed mattress was so comfy, sleep easily won out. Condo layout was perfect, kitchen under the staircase allowed for a 4-seat dining table. Condo needs some serious maintenance, though - splintered bedroom door, paint chipped and peeling, caulking in tub. We had to have someone show us how to work the Roku TV in the living room. We never did figure it out completely but were able to watch some very funny police car videos. Oh, well, look up world news on your cellphone - you're on vacation! Sadly, that little vegan grocery store and farmers' market across the street is gone, a HUGE disappointment. We were told there was a farmers' market every day up near Napili, but we found it closed. The local Times grocery store had better produce than the big Safeway in Lahaina. The Fish Market a few blocks up makes great poke! We hit the food trucks one night, MANY different types of food to choose from. Dinner at Hula Grill, Whalers Village was a big disappointment. Overpriced, overcrowded, overloud, couldn't hear the performer. Dinner at the Sea House (not Horse) at Napili Beach Resort was expensive, but delicious, and atmosphere at sunset was incredible. Surfing Goat Dairy experience was a blast!
Overall stay was wonderfull! Park side view was relaxing and the complex community was great. Loved the pool area and instant beach access from pool deck. There are community use grills available that were in great shape! On arrival the unit was found to be a bit dirty... however. We contacted property host and recieved reply immediately. The TV in bedroom did not work but this we didnt discover untill the end of our stay. Unit has a loft area but during our stay with the weather being hot the upstairs area was much to hot to spend time. The Condo community is open air and none of the units have AC. Sleeping on main floor was comfortable with window slats open Was great to watch out over the water from pool side where whales and turtles could be seen throughout the trip
Nice location. Walking distance to coffee shop/restaurants. Located right on the beach. Turtles right in the water. No air conditioning, but a nice breeze and fans provided. Pool was clean. Had all the amenities needed.
Great property and great lication
We had a great week in Maui! The place fit our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids) well. The grounds of the condo were amazing. We loved using the pool and having instant access to a perfect sandy beach. The location is close to grocery stores and restaurants, so that was a plus! The condo itself had what we needed to make some quick meals. The furnishing are a bit outdated, but functioned well. In general, I wish the place had been a bit cleaner, but in generalIt was a good stay.
I had the pleasure of staying in this lovely room for over a month, and it exceeded my expectations in every way. The living room was incredibly spacious, clean, and thoughtfully laid out, providing a comfortable space to relax. One of the pleasant surprises was having three large TV screens, ensuring I never ran out of entertainment options. The loft area, with its own black leather couch and large TV, became a perfect space for conducting business or enjoying private activities. The room was also well-equipped with beach essentials such as towels, chairs, and even a fishing pole—making it easy to enjoy Maui’s beautiful outdoors. A mere one-minute walk from the pool, I also appreciated the private balcony, which featured a table and chaise lounge, ideal for soaking in the peaceful surroundings. My view included an adjacent park with native trees and, of course, the beach. Perhaps the best part was how close I was to the ocean. I could hear the soothing sound of the waves from anywhere in the room, creating a relaxing and immersive experience throughout my stay.
