Nestled right in the heart of Kaʻanapali Beach, steps from soft sands and pristine waters, The Whaler boasts one of Maui’s best resort locations. This world-famous beach offers an abundance of shopping, dining, and activities right at your doorstep. Luaus, dinner cruises, snorkel trips, parasailing (summer only), whale watching (winter only), surf lessons, and more are only a short walk away.
Lounge by the sparkling beachfront pool and hot tub or take a dip in the crystal blue waters of the Pacific Ocean. A beachside towel desk can assist with gear rentals for snorkeling, stand-up paddleboarding, surfing, and more. The ocean is only visible from one small corner of the deck. The unit is on the second floor with a view of the parking lot and office. It may of had a view of the ocean 20 years ago, but the trees have grown up blocking over 90% of the view. The deck is nice, especially if you like listening to cars loading and unloading at the office and pickle ball being played. On the plus side the remodel is well done on the interior. If you like hot showers with good pressure you are half way there...the showers have good pressure, but are luke warm. The place is well stocked, but there was no booklet for directions on how to operate things, how to clean up for departure...none of the normal things that VRBO have booklet explaining how to use the stove, tv, recycling, trash...In our agreement it said we would get one maid visit...of course that did not happen...not sure why it was in the agreement. I think we were the first to rent the apartment...I would recommend calling it a partial ocean view (that is generous), increase the water temp, and make an welcome package with instructions available. We have stayed in the Whaler several times and love the location. This was our least favorite apartment. BTW...if you are a pool person you must be in line for a chair by 9 am or forget about getting in the pool till sunset as the residents take over the pool. The ocean is amazing and we never used the pool Parking is easy. The room is the farthest from the water...
