VI 208 Remodeled West Maui OceanFront 2BD w Ocean View

This is the perfect spot for those looking for a great spot right next to the beach without feeling overwhelmed by crowds. Being on the 2nd floor we were able to enjoy the ocean breeze while watching the sea turtles swim right off shore with a great view of Moloka'i in the distance! This rental is centrally located between several of the smaller west towns Lahaina, Kaanapali, Napili, and Kapalua which have plenty of restaurant options and tours. While it is possible to snorkel at this spot I would highly recommend checking out other local beaches for a variety of beach. There is also a variety of beach goodies available for use which came in handy being from out of town and wanting to enjoy the beach without having to bring/buy things to use.The only downside we had was there was construction happening in one of the upstairs rentals during the day. Luckily most days we were out exploring and not bothered but if you had a late morning or early afternoon you may hear some loud noise as long as construction is ongoing. Another thing to consider is how far you are from certain parts of the island. We did the sunrise to Haleakala National Park and had to leave by 2:30 am to make it before the sunrise. The road to Hana can also be tricky from this location if you are making reservations to visit certain beaches/areas.

Gorgeous views! We enjoyed the sunsets and extensive whale watching from the balcony. Our trip was in February. The amount of whale activity we could see from the balcony was truly amazing. The condo was nice with comfortable furniture and everything you could need for a beach day. The kitchen was fully stocked with cooking utensils however if you plan to do ANY cooking, bring your spices - salt and pepper is all you will find. They provided dishwasher pods, dish soap, fresh scrubbers, and laundry supplies which was really nice. The beach is a let down. There are huge sandbags that seem to be a permanent fixture with green algea growing on them which sloughs off and is floating around in the swimming area. There is no A/C which seems common with hawaii rentals. They do provide multiple portable fans. The back bedroom window which had slated glass opens to the hallway of the complex for fresh air. This room didnt cool off very well. But the other rooms werent bad (again this was in february). This rental was far away from the hustle and bustle of the touristy mall area, which made it nice and quiet. There is a cute food truck park just down the road with some other closer food options like right next door....Captain Jacks - very good food with reasonable pricing for the area. Overall, i would recommend. We would stay here again for the once in a lifetime views!

The condo was perfect for our group! Advertised exactly as it appeared in person. The condo was clean, updated, and had all amenities we needed. The view - spectacular! Would definitely book this spot again.

This rental was great! It had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The view was amazing. I travelled with my 80 year old mother in law and getting down to the beach was too risky.

This was a great condo. Owners were wonderful and provided with many things to make your stay easy.

Exactly what we hoped for. It was a fun, relaxing vacation and we enjoyed our place. Everything we needed for our stay was organized and ready yo go.

Place was exactly as posted. Very beautiful views! Ease of access to beach, stores, and food. Had a few cockroaches visit but post did inform that pests may be an issue. May want to check about changing locks as it was hard to unlock/lock with the keys...didn't want to always work right away. Took us a few minutes each time to get in and out. Host was great with communication.

Overall nice unit , only it could have had A/C in bedrooms,had an issue with front door lock they responded within a half hour to resolve the problem

Everything wonderful. Only comment I would make is the living room patio door is difficult to open and close. Needs to be replaced. The view from living room deck and bedroom was a 10

Spacious 2 bedroom with stunning views. Kitchen a delight to cook in… well supplied with high end appliances, pots and pans. Lovely decor felt luxurious and not a normal VRBOLots of Whale watching from veranda, beach right outside … rainbows, turtles, brilliant nighttime stars…. A perfect vacation.Small shopping area across street, excellent sushi, pizza and liquor store. We were group of 5 and all want to return right away

Location of this condo is terrific and convenient. It is on the second floor and the balcony is almost on top of the shoreline. Great view over the water. Beach access is really just a seawall at this condo so there are better beach areas nearby. Although you can walk down the stairs and get into the ocean, it isn’t the best beach to sit and enjoy the sand. Very convenient to Kapalua if you are coming over for the golf tournament. It’s about an hour drive to the airport or to Kahului or base of Haleakala. Would stay here again. No AC but enough airflow for the rooms to stay comfortable.

Great everything Except can you view your cameras of the night 13th 14th someone hit our jeep in the parking lot

I stay in Maui twice a year and this unit was beautiful! It is surely worth the difference of money compared to other similar units. Supplies to start you off were much appreciated and instruction book was thoughtfully written. They even have emergency lights in case of an incident. Stunning views. Great amenities. Comfortable beds. Will surely return!

We enjoyed every moment we stayed. Furniture and bedding were perfect especially your kitchen. Little bit inconvenient that TV’s in bedrooms has no internet connection. Thank you very much 🙂

The grounds are beautiful. We very much enjoyed the views from the lanai and bedroom. The only unfortunate is that it is advertised as having a gym. There was no gym. As a person that works out regularly, I was disappointed. Other aspects were great!

The unit was very nice! LOVED my view from the balcony and bedroom! Everything was updated and I really appreciated the use of the provided cooler for our day trips and binoculars for whale watching from the balcony. I spent hours there. LOL I came to Maui in February to watch the whales and was not disappointed. Not any fault of the place, but with downtown Lahaina closed down from the fires, dining in the area was a struggle. We learned quickly that dinner reservations are a must and should be made early if you don't want to eat fast food or drive an hour to get somewhere else. Check in was very confusing. Instructions said to check in with security desk. We arrived just after 6pm and there was nobody that worked in the place anywhere to be found. There was also no one available at the number given to us for this particular unit's property manager. So we kinda had to guess where to go to find the unit. It's a little confusing because there are a couple of properties very close together which made it appear that they were all connected. Once we found the elevator though and went to the 2nd floor we found it with no problem. And access to the unit was easy with the lockbox outside. Overall, the say was very nice. Although after exploring other areas of the Island, I think I would book in another location just given the distance to drive to most of the popular attractions from this place.

Pros: 1) We could hear and see the ocean (and a couple of turtles!) from our second story unit. 2) The unit was spacious. 3) It was in a convenient location. Cons: 1) The pictures on VRBO are totally misleading. The unit was run down and dirty. 2) The unit was not clean when we arrived. There was popcorn and food stains all over the rug and the sofa was super old and smelled of body odor. 3) The toilet in one of the bathrooms was blocked. 4) This unit had absolutely nothing in the way of pantry condiments. The knives were dull and the cutting board was falling apart. 5) The front screen door kept getting jammed so it would take us a while to get out. 6) The toaster and coffee maker stopped working and when we reported it, nobody came by to fix them so we had to buy all our coffee outside our whole trip. 7) Both of the magnetic wooden shutters were broken in the living room and master bedroom so the light was not totally blocked out.

On beach . Beautiful balcony views. Well stocked condo. Not far from shopping and restaurants. No AC which was fine for us since fans and breezes made up for it most of the time. But if u require ac, then this is not the property for you. All positives. If i had to list negatives, it is a little smaller than it looks. But it worked for 3 adults and 2 kids. Also, wish the pool was bigger and facing the beach..

We loved our stay in VI 208. It was exactly as pictured and has amazing views. Extremely clean and updated, very nice. Super easy check-in and parking. We had no problems or complaints and I did receive a text the day after check-in to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. Perfect for a family, everything provided that you would need at the beach. Would highly recommend!
