Mahina Surf is west Maui at its finest. Once you stay with us in #223, you won’t ever want to leave this breathtaking slice of paradise.
Mahina Surf #223 is a luxury 2 bedroom/2 bath oceanfront condominium with spectacular ocean views, including a tremendous view of Molokai and truly amazing sunsets. Our condo was newly remodeled June 2015 by Scott Williamson Design, boasting Fusion granite counter tops, crescent bamboo back splashes, stainless steel appliances, under counter lighting, and rich African mahogany soft-close cabinets. Champagne onyx porcelain flooring flows throughout the kitchen and living room areas. The kitchen’s new design allows you to cook and enjoy washing dishes with a fantastic view of the ocean and Molokai. Both bathrooms have enjoyed recent, complete makeovers and now feature stunning aqua Island Stone glass tile, champagne onyx porcelain shower and floor tile, frameless glass shower doors, ultra silent exhaust fans, and exquisite quartz counters complimenting the mahogany cabinets. Enjoy watching the whales swim by, spinner dolphins play, and beautiful rainbows christen the sky while relaxing on your private lanai. Endangered honu (turtles) live year-round on the beach in front of the complex. Grab your snorkel and get a look at them up close and personal!
Mahina Surf is a low-rise property situated on 2 acres of beautiful tropical gardens with impeccably maintained native Hawaiian plants, coconut palms and colorful tropical flowers. It is a throwback to the beauty of old Hawaii, and is a photographer’s paradise. The complex has a heated, saline pool located on the oceanfront. You can relax, enjoy your book and view the ocean and the islands of Lanai and Molokai from your lounge chair. We have yet to find a better view on the island of Maui!
We are located minutes away from Kaanapali, Kapalua and Lahaina. You can enjoy beautiful beaches, snorkeling, golfing, surfing, stand-up paddle boarding, kayaking, hiking, restaurants, shopping and nightlife at your convenience. A nice shopping center and farmers market are also just a short walk away. You’re also very close to the Maui Ocean Center, the largest tropical reef aquarium in the Western Hemisphere!
Whale season is from mid-December through mid-April each year. You can enjoy seeing whales and calves frolic and breach right offshore from the comfort your lanai. What a wonderful way to start your morning -- with a cup of fresh Maui coffee, counting whale spouts.
Mahina Surf #223’s recent upgrades include: Complete kitchen and both bathrooms updated top to bottom, new mahogany glass dining set for four and two barstools, new mahogany TV stand, super soft Tommy Bahama living room area rug, 3 blade Koa ceiling fan in living room, and Koa wing fans in each bedroom. The fully appointed kitchen has all new stainless appliances, including slide-in range and oven, microwave, full-size refrigerator with icemaker, dishwasher, Cuisinart coffeemaker, Cuisinart toaster, new 10-pc cookware set, knife set, cutting boards, coasters, and BBQ utensils. Our new Natuzzi Italian sectional sofa is accompanied by a very cool wave-style floor lamp, with a lampshade handmade from cocoa leaves. It is super comfy for four guests to stretch out and relax as you watch your favorite TV shows on the 55" Samsung Smart HDTV after a rough day at the beach!
The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, glassware with plastic for the pool area, wine and martini glasses, silverware, huge assortment of kitchen utensils everything you need to prepare meals at home.
In addition to the new 55” Samsung SMART flat screen HDTV with new Samsung Blu-ray DVD player in the living room (added May 2016), our unit also features a 40" Vizio SMART flat screen HDTV in the loft bedroom, and a 32" Samsung flat screen HDTV with new Samsung Blu-ray DVD player in the downstairs bedroom. We have an iHome docking station for your iPhone/iPod or other listening in the living room. You will enjoy high-speed WiFi internet access throughout the unit, with our complements.
The upstairs loft bedroom includes a brand new (May 2016) King Mahogany bedroom set. Enjoy amazing sleep on our new top of the line King Stearns & Foster mattress. We provide it with the hope that you will get your best sleep ever! The mattress has a dual coil system for the absolute best back support in the industry. There will be no "saggy" mattress in our unit like so many other Maui condos. The coils in our mattress will give you firm support while offering gentle pressure relief for the sensitive side sleeper! You will sleep cool with the quality Cashmere cover and layers of New Zealand wool providing a very breathable, temperature regulating cushion to ease joint pressure for your deepest relaxation. Be assured that our mattress is one of the best of any condominium in Maui, so that you will be well rested every day in order to fully enjoy the magic of Maui! There is plenty of closet and drawer space, with a 40” Vizio SMART flat screen HDTV and tower fan.
The downstairs Queen bedroom set includes a brand new (May 2016) Queen Northwest Bennington plush mattress. It is an equally amazing mattress giving the support and comfort for the best sleep of your life. There is ample closet and drawer storage. Enjoy a 32” Samsung flat screen HDTV and new Samsung Blu-ray DVD player. The closet contains a tower fan, beach umbrellas, ice chest, a portable clothes drying rack for extra drying space, iron and ironing board, a growing DVD collection, books, and games. There is also a programmable safe to protect your valuables.
The lanai has a new deck storage box that secures beach chairs, noodles, and a few pool items. Our beach umbrellas are quite large, so you will find them in the downstairs bedroom closet.

The host was very welcoming and was very helpful even when my travel brain could not manuver the very easy door lock for initial entry. The place was well stocked with cooking spices and great beach gear.
Fantastic stay in Maui! The property was clean, comfortable, and in a great location. Everything was exactly as described, and the host was easy to communicate with. We had a wonderful time and would definitely book again. Highly recommend!
Amazing view. Attractive host. We enjoyed our stay tremendously.
This place is truly a hidden gem - ok maybe not so hidden as its always booked, but its just an exceptional view and stay. You're own fairly private sunsets every night. Pool with a view just steps away. 2 minute walk to see the turtles. As pretty much everyone says the loft get abit hot, fans work but it wont get cool. The daily constant breeze is the life safer. Place was clean and we appreciated the extra amenities (spices for cooking, cleaning supplies etc). Highly recommend!! Only downside - its on the west side of Maui, if you plan to do the HANA road, just know its about an hour drive to the east side of Maui before you officially start that road. Other than that, which isn't really a negative, the place is well worth the stay!!
Location was great. There was a little beach by the property with sea turtles everyday. You did have to climb down some rocks to get there but nothing difficult. View from the lanai was beautiful. Check in was easy. Plenty of space for our family of three. The condo had everything we needed. Thank you!

Great stay for my family! What you see is what you get. The view off the lanai is stunning and where we spent most of our time while at the condo. Condo is well stocked and the host was very communicative and easy to contact if we had questions. The beds were comfy. It did get warm in the condo but we found that the ceiling fans and other provided fans helped. There is no AC. Would definitely stay here again!
The description of the unit we stayed in is pretty much bang on, it certainly is a "piece of paradise". The unit is situated in a prime location. For the price we paid I have few recommendations; The surface cleaning was done just fine, however I feel it's time for a thorough deep clean (carpets, drawers, dusting) and a fresh paint job would do wonders for the place. An updated binder is required as it's not applicable with the existing tv remotes, as we had issues. A new set of towels would be great, (no longer white) in one of the bathrooms and limited face cloths. The cutlery/dishes/pots and pans/ bowls etc were plentiful, a new can opener would be good. The layout of the condo is very comfortable, as stated in the online listing the cabinetry and counter tops are beautiful, appliances all worked and the lanai was wonderful with an amazing view.
We loved our stay at Mahina Surf. The location was nice and quiet, and an easy drive to most places. We loved coming home at the end of the day to the views, the chill vibe and the great community that gathers here. We will come again for sure! Thanks for having us.
the check in was a little stressful after a full day of air travel because the key was not left in the correct place but after getting in touch with Darren all was taken care of in just a matter of minutes The condo was even better than expected with a beautiful view of the ocean from the bslcony we highly recommend this condo to anyone
Lovely spot north of Lahaina & Ka’anapali. Near West Maui beaches and all sights this side of Maui. Condo was perfect for our party of 3. All the little personal touches made it super comfortable to stay here. Lovely grounds, quiet family-friendly resort, heated pool is nice on a windy day. We Would come back!
