Luxury 2 BR 2 BA OCEANFRONT/BEACHFRONT Condo at the Whaler

We always stay at the Whaler when visiting Maui, this was our first time in this unit and it did not disappoint! It was roomy and comfortable. Only thing we would change is the sheers in the living room. It is nearly impossible to watch tv once the sun passes over the building. Not an issue for most people who are there for the view as most of us were, but my elderly mother likes to watch her afternoon and evening programs and found it challenging with the sun glare since there are no curtains or blinds. Doesn’t change my 5 star rating, the view alone is worth it

The views from the unit lived up to the pictures in the listing. We had everything we needed in the unit after a trip to the grocery store. We had easy walking access to the shops and restaurants on Kaanapali beach, and the underground parking was easy to access for the days we wanted to go exploring around the area. It was our first time using VRBO for a Maui vacation and I'm glad we made the change. We are looking forward to returning to Kaanapali and this unit in the future.

The view cannot be beat anywhere on the island. The view is why you come here and it did not disappoint! The unit was bigger than it looked online so that was also plus. Yes, it is very dated, but I knew that by the reviews and photos. However, there definitely needs to be some improvements made. For example, the plumbing is so bad that you can twist the water knobs all around. The gas stove burner only had one temperature which was all the way on. The hairdryers had to be from the 1980's and I was afraid it might catch on fire. It wouldn't take much to replace those.

The host was incredibly responsive and helpful. The location and property are perfect! The wrap around deck was so peaceful during the day and amazing night for watching the ocean and beach. We were sad to leave but looking forward to our return!

Possibly best view available along with the other ocean front condos in the Whaler. No problems. Comfortable and well equipped. Spacious.

This unit had everything we were looking for...amazing views, gorgeous sunsets, comfortable beds, even though the unit has not been renovated recently, I enjoyed the vintage feel as my parents used to bring us here in the 70s and it reminded me of my youth.

View is unreal. Property is great. Beach is great. Tons of restaurants and shops right there. The unit could use a few updates, but they are minor in comparison to how great the overall unit is.

Love The Whaler location, had a great week. Condo has a fantastic view of the ocean. It was clean and had everything you need to relax and enjoy. One strange thing was no pre-communication from the owner/property manager and when we reached out with questions they said we did not have a reservation. I wasn’t too worried because we were already checked in and things happen. The staff at The Whaler are great and resolved our issue immediately. I would recommend this unit and only suggest you confirm your reservation.

Great central location on Kaanapali Beach.

This unit is at The Whaler which is at the best location on Kaanapali Beach. It would be hard to imagine a better place to stay and a better unit to stay in. Very roomy, nicely furnished on the inside with comfortable couch, new recliner, and super comfortable beds. Lots of outside seating options to enjoy too. We can't begin to tell you how much time we spent out on the lanai enjoying the unbelievable views morning, noon and night. The binoculars were an appreciated bonus. In unit laundry was very helpful too. We had an awesome time. Mahalo for allowing us to stay in your home!

We had an amazing 2 weeks at this property at The Whaler. The views from this unit are so great - some mornings, it was hard to leave the lanai to do other activities! The unit is well furnished in a peaceful way. The kitchen was very well appointed. We like to cook and there are nice pots & pans, dishes, knives, all sorts of kitchen tools. The Whaler complex is perfectly located with its beach & pool so accessible and Whaler Village next door for shopping and eating. It was very easy to work with the owner. She was available for questions leading up to our trip.

Our family of six stayed here for an unforgettable week. The sweeping views and large lanai are incredible. Comfortable leather couches, recliner, nice beds, and stocked kitchen made it feel like home. We walked next door to Whaler’s Village for delicious fish tacos and hula pie at Leilani’s. Kids picked up pizzas at the village too. Being so close to the beach and pool and swimming with sea turtles and seeing rainbows was our absolute favorite. We took a Trilogy sunset sail cruise next to The Whaler too. Love this condo for a special vacation. Aloha!

I really enjoyed the condo. It was very well equipped and very comfortable. I especially liked having a recliner!! The views were amazing. I will definitely check out this unit again on my next trip to Maui.
