Guest Access:
Guests at Mahina Surf enjoy access to the oceanfront communal pool set along Maui's coastline, with garden grounds and a disabled parking spot for easy access. The beachfront location puts the water just outside your lanai, and grab rails support accessibility. A nearby laundromat adds convenience for longer stays at this 42 unit complex.
The Neighborhood:
The Mahina Surf area is a quieter oceanfront pocket between Ka'anapali and Kapalua. Kahekili Beach Park, Black Rock Beach, and Kapalua Beach are within four miles for swimming and snorkeling, and a coastal drive links the three. Fish Market Maui is less than a mile away for a fresh mahi mahi dinner. Couples who want the shoreline close, but still want a choice of nearby outings, will find this side of West Maui easy to enjoy.
Getting Around:
Kahului Airport is Maui's main airport. A rental car is recommended for exploring West Maui's beaches, dining, shops, and coastal sights. Plan on driving for most outings and allow extra time for traffic along the coast.

This unit is in great shape and the windows all open to allow air flow. There is no air conditioning but we slept with the windows open and could listen to the ocean all night. The grounds and facilities are immaculate. The pool was close with plenty of chairs. Lots of turtles on the little beach area!
As far as location it was great definitely ocean side nice views we got to listen to the ocean all night long but for the price the place was made out to be bigger than what it was overall it was decent but its pretty much a one bedroom condo it still wouldnt be bad depending on if you get lucky enough to have decent neighbors other than the issues with the neighbors we had found roaches the first night of being there we were only there to sleep and enjoyed the ocean and surrounding beaches most of the time the fact that its hawaii made it better than what it is but still yet we had issues and paid alot of money
peaceful and beautiful place
The property is absolutely beautiful. We had a welcome goodie bag waiting for us, including delicious Aloha water. Everything was clean and fresh. The on-site turtles were a site to see - marvelous creatures (huge)! We walked to see the turtles in the early morning and evening. The corner lot is just perfect for us and we look forward to returning here next year. We are checking out today and will miss the beautiful sunrise and sunsets. The photos of this place don’t do it justice. The views were so beautiful and the location was perfect. 10/10 would stay again!
We really enjoyed our stay. The unit was very clean but could use a little touch up on the woodwork in the kitchen. The views were impeccable. Water view from every room. The sounds of the waves crashing in the night made for a peaceful sleep. Wish we could have staid longer. Highly recommended.
There is no way to describe the beauty of this property! It is situated at the ocean side of the complex with a 180 degree view of the Pacific Ocean. The living space is clean and exactly as the pictures show. The kitchen is well appointed and also had various spices to cook with. There are 3 very nice grills onsite which face looking out over the ocean which made my husband happy while he grilled! There is a laundry facility onsite which takes either coins or you can use an app for cashless payment. The property is conveniently located about 10-15 minutes from Lahaina downtown. The concern I had before coming was the unit not having air conditioning. This was not a problem at all with the fans going and windows open (screens are on the windows). Our stay was in early March so I am not sure how it would be in July or August. If we return to Maui, we will definitely try to rent this unit again!
Loved the view. The apt has great windows being a corner unit. Very close to the ocean. The waves can be loud if you are noise sensitive. We will return.
Well-equipped and comfortable. Bed a little soft, and the path that second-floor unit users need to take to the water goes right by the unit so there is some noise, but it is mostly quiet and comfortable.
View was amazing. Good location for all the activities we had planned. Overall great experience
