We have stayed at the Kahana Sunset many times. The beach is mostly gone but the pool and grounds are still incredible. Unit C3 has a wonderful view. We love to pick up seafood at a nearby market and grill seaside in the reading area. The Hula Hideaway folk were great to work with.

Kahana Sunset c3 is a great value. The complex is quiet and well-maintained with ocean access and decent swimming and snorkeling opportunities. The 2-story, 2-bed, 2-bath condo is clean, spacious, and stocked with beach and ocean equipment. The air conditioning splits in both bedrooms and the main living area are a great amenity!The complex is a short drive from great food options like Miso Phat and The Gazebo, and several grocery stores are within a short drive. I saw some people walking to Kahana, but I would recommend driving due to the lack of sidewalks. The complex has a mix of 1-bed and multi-bed units. There are 4 grills available for residents and tenants and there is a dedicated parking space right outside the front door of the condo.The sea wall provides an unobstructed sunset view and you can see Molokai and Lanai from there too. There is a small, but very clean pool, and plenty of space to throw a football around.The property management company is responsive and we have very few issues, most of which we dealt with on our own. Be advised, there are a lot of steps, so this is not great for less-mobile people, but I recommend the condo for families and couples who want a more affordable and chill location than the Ka’anapali resorts.

We had a wonderful 10 day stay at Kahana Sunset. The unit was just as pictured. We loved the pool and kiddie pool in the complex and we were often the only ones there. There is a water filling station by the pool which is a nice touch. Parking right outside the door cannot be beat. Beds were comfortable, all amenities were provided including some great beach gear. This was our first stay in the Napili area and we will definitely be back. Hopefully for another stay in this unit! Thank you for a wonderful trip.

Location is amazing. Close to beautiful beaches. The unit is well equipped with everything you may need. Very comfortable for a family of 4. We loved the common areas, kids loved the pool and they have the cleanest bbq grill I’ve ever seen. Beautiful sunsets and if you’re lucky you may spot some turtles on the beach. Communication with host was great.

Beautiful place. Loved the porch area with ocean view and the proximity to the beach. We got to see manarays in the beach first day we were there. Sunset was amazing too! Second day we got tsunami warning but property is 20m above water so after 7:30pm we returned to property from higher grounds. Checkin was simple; checkout too.

The private beach was a big advantage and they really take a nice care of the property outside. We were very comfortable, it’s a two story home and great for 5-6 people.

Lovely stay at a beautiful condo! Everything we needed was supplied, outdoor space was beautifully maintained. Pool and beach access were a great plus too!

We travel a ton -- I'll give my kids credit for being good travelers at ages 13 & 12. Lots of experience in hotels, etc. However, this place was absolutely the way to go. We had to delay our anniversary trip several years because of Covid, the after effects, and then even the fires. But we always wanted to come back and decided to bring the kiddos along.This place had it all for us. No idea why, but it just wasn't that buy at the resort. I'd estimate 30% full? We are not early risers, and still we were usually the first ones out in the morning (poolside, beach, laying out). Even during the day, it just wasn't that busy which was amazing. We were still relatively active and bounced around the island, but parking is easy. The place is great for R&R to charge up between your day trips. The little Napili market is an EASY walk that we made almost daily. We Turo'd from the airport, grabbed some supplies at the Wal-mart nearby like drinks in bulk. But on the daily, the little market (or even Safeway) were nearby. Probably hit Whaler's Village about 3 times because it's just so convenient. BTW, if you're considering the road to Hana and are hesitant because of this location, don't be. We were first-timers and made the drive easily. In fact, it felt like we were maybe 30 minutes ahead of every tour behind us at our stops. We left around 5:30am and it was a breeze. Long day sure -- but not that hard.Washer/dryer were greatly appreciated and worked perfect for us.

We had a lot of fun! The sunsets were amazing, not much beach to play on with the big waves. Kids loved the swimming pool. A beautiful yard! The location was great near a lot of beautiful beaches and things to do.

Kahana Sunset is our go to place! This condo was perfect for our family, with all the amenities needed. The convenience of parking right outside your door is fantastic! This is our 4th time at Kahana Sunset and have stayed in multiple units, you can’t go wrong with any of them! We already booked for next year!

C3 is a great place, everything you need to make meals and enjoy the beach. Very close to great beaches like Napoli and Kapalua etc. Had great communication with the property to answer questions etc. Will definitely recommend!

Kahana Sunset is a beautiful property in a great location. The condo itself was very clean, comfortable, and quiet. It has a well-equipped kitchen, and comfortable beds with soft linens and pillows. The available beach chairs were a definite bonus.

The groundskeepers helped us pick and enjoy the fresh fruit on the property which was really fun (bananas, limes, papayas, mangos). Property management was wonderful. We needed a few things, contacted them, and they were immediately helpful. Laundry in the unit, two patios both with ocean views, and many more things made this a really great stay. Also, loved the location. Very close to bays for great snorkeling, within walking distance of a market, restaurants, etc. We would for sure be back and recommend to others.

We really enjoyed this space. The location is wonderful, peaceful and quiet. The kitchen had all the necessary things to make a few meals and enjoy the patio. The beach was great for snorkeling and swimming and we saw turtles and each day. The pool was so warm it was great after a long day. We had great breakfasts at AA Roots and recommend eating there. 808 Deli in Kihei was another awesome place. We would definitely come come. Thank you!

Plenty of towels and both beds were so comfortable. We loved both of the lanais, ocean view from both. The storage shed was an added bonus. There was snorkeling gear, umbrellas, chairs you name it. I have two suggestions for the owners; update your cookware. It’s an old and making a family meal with limited pans is a challenge. Declutter the space. All the extra decor is not needed. Saddest thing resort is the historic erosion of the beach. 30 years ago must have been epic based on the photos. RIP building F.

The unit is exactly what was needed for two adults and two teenagers. Quick drive to beautiful beaches and easy walk to a market. There isn't much of a sandy beach left at the property but the location is perfect in a little cove - every morning we watched whale spouts off in the distance from the beach chairs on the lawn from which there is a beautiful view. Management is very responsive. The grounds are nice and very well kept up.

Clean and comfy! Would definitely stay again. The property is well taken care of as well.

This condo has been nicely updated and well equipped in Kahana Sunset. We snorkeled off the beach and saw sea turtles every day. Our boys enjoyed the pool as well! Thank you for sharing this condo.

I thought it was all one level. 2nd-The mold in guest bathroom was upsetting and the mildew smell thought out the condo. We 1st just opened up everything. Yet everytime we closed it up and returned ...the same. Both couples came home and had to wash all clothing because they smelled like mildew. Telling me the cleaning people over looked cleaning the wall was disturbing. It was high and in the line of work i do, I know mold. 3rd-The grounds were not taken care of, mowed & over grown.Other things as the internet not working & disposal. Dishwasher not connected so it pulls in and out.I did not write in guest book or want to do a review because didn't have a positive stay!Mahalo 🌺 Pam

I would absolutely use them again in the future.We have stayed at 4 condos in KS. This condo was by far the most well appointed condo of the group. Clean and literally had everything needed for a great stay! Plenty of chairs, coolers, and beach stuff in the storage room.The building is C-3. We've been in E and A buildings as well. They all have their plus and minuses. Parking very convenient and close.Property has always been well maintained and its a great low key spot for a couple or families. Pool and access to the ocean, grounds very lush and green with lawn chairs. Lots of BBQs, I've never run into a lineup. Only quirk is they auto close the gas to them after dark (I think around 9), so dont come back late from the beach and think you will get to cook some food on the grill. Pool also closes fairly early.Winter months swells are substantial. This bay has suffered tremendous erosion over the years that have impacted the homes as well as building F at KS. Of the 14 days there, we probably had 3 maybe 4 with clear and calm enough water for snorkling in the bay. When its available, its absolutely amazing! Just be prepared to hop in the car if you are looking for a beach day and waves with less energy than what can pund this little complex in the winter.Our stays in West Maui are in the double digits over the years, its our vacation speed. Laid back, not as touristy, and amazing places to visit just minutes away. Location close to many beach options or a quick stop at the market square for food,coffee, groceries.The devastating fire's impact is indescribable on the great people of Maui.We chose to show local support by spending money into their economy, tip well, and volunteering.Post FEMA government housing plans have taken too long and there is pressure on rental owners.Mayor has even threatened moratorium.Some may judge you for being there.Recover

My first impression was how clean this unit was. Onsite and nearby amenities are great. Not your typical big name resort with onsite restaurants and activities. Definitely more low-key and relaxing.

Spacious and clean. Nice patios for extra living space. A few items did not work but nothing to spoil our vacation. The beach at the property is in terrible condition. The erosion problem is evident and a little concerning. Luckily it is Maui and there are plenty of other beaches. We did see two sea turtles on the beach one night which was cool but we expected a nice beach but we were disappointed. The large retaining bags and exposed fabric coming up through the sand make the beach unpleasant and basically unusable. The owners did a great job with communication for our stay. Booking was weird. We booked through Expedia but started getting tons and I mean tons of email from VRBO and something called Hula Holiday which we never figured out. It was confusing. Two small notes: There is no place to store your groceries. Every one of the cabinets was packed with kitchen stuff. Very well supplied but we literally had no available space for our food which we left all over the countertop. And, try as we did we never figured out if the patio awning worked or not. It would have been nice but we gave up. We would recommend the property but not the beach.
