Maui Resort Rentals: The Whaler 701 - Oceanfront 7th Floor 1BR/2A, Sweeping Ocean Views from Lanai to Black Rock and Beyond!

Beautiful view and location.

Location and views from this property are outstanding. Unfortunately during our stay the gas grills right below our unit exploded. It was a horrible tragedy to witness. Maui Resort Rentals checked on our well being that night. The unit could definitely do with some updating but it was very comfortable.

We absolutely loved our stay here, and will definitely be back. The sweeping oceanfront view is the absolute best place to drink coffee in the morning, a glass of wine in the evening, and anytime in between. Great location on a wide expanse of beach, with restaurants, etc., close and walkable. Beautifully maintained grounds and nice to have the pool option right there. Clean, comfy bed, and chairs to take down to the beach. Thank you for a wonderful place to stay during our week in Maui.

Spectacular ocean views. Sunny south & west lanais with lots of seating. Spacious, comfortable rooms. Well-equipped full kitchen. Nice pool, though a bit challenging to find afternoon shade.

They were working on the balcony and nowhere in the listing. Did they state that you could not go out between the hours of eight and 430. Balcony was off with plastic so in order to see the view you had to stand up. We had a corner room which hindered sitting outside unless we were standing up. This unit should never have been rented under the circumstances. This unit is in need of updating.

If you don't want to see panoramic views of the ocean from every window in your condo. then don't rent this Unit!! It's not posh, but it is clean, comfortable, kitchen has all the cooking and eating necessities, and the best feature is the wrap-around patio!! It has unbelieveable views of not only the ocean and surrounding islands, but the mountain and golf course to the southeast. The patio is so expansive that it has two lounge chairs, three tables, and 12 other chairs in case you have a bunch of visitors! Not only that, but all of the various boat excursions are based right around the Whaler below you, so there is a lot of fun activity to watch daily. The beach is right outside the door of Tower 1, as is the pool and grilling area that are always spotless and a good place to visit with your neighbors. We can't say enough about how much fun we had here and will definitely be back again, hopefully soon.

The location and views are 5 Star. Very comfortable bed. The bathrooms could be updated to include at least one walk in shower. We enjoyed our stay!

Never had a condo before, always stayed in resorts. This condo beat our expectations. Loved the view for whale watching. Pool was fun, easy to get out to beach and the property was well kept. Will stay there again!

We love the Whaler and Maui! We came with our families who’d stayed in other units there as well. It was a perfect vacation time for us all. The views are absolutely amazing here in 701!! We’d love to come back!

The pictures don’t do this place justice - even better than advertised. Perfect location - can walk to shops and restaurants in Whaler’s Village and short drive to Lahaina for even more. Really good snorkeling with turtles in the afternoon just down the beach at Black Rock. You can rent snorkel gear at the resort (and lots of other things), but some local shops (The Snorkel Store) have better rates for the week. There were a few chairs and coolers in the room for use as needed, too. We took advantage of the water, tea, and coffee down at the front desk, too. The condo is spacious - way bigger than most hotel and resort rooms - it was nice having a separate bedroom, large closets, two full bathrooms, full kitchen and huge living room to spread out. We spent a ton of time on the balcony. The front part of the balcony gets shade in the morning and the side part gets shade in the afternoon/evening. Great sunsets looking out at two other islands (Lanai and Molokai). Fun to watch the people and boats and we even saw a sea turtle from 7 floors up! Even when you’re inside, you can see the ocean from all angles. Love the grounds, too, with the Koi ponds, fountains, waterfalls, and flowers! We were sick the last three days (maybe too much snorkeling), but the condo made even our last low key days a delight with the views and convenience. We had tons of adventures (Haleakala, Iao Valley, Sailboat/Snorkeling, Road to Hana), but I probably could’ve been happy just hanging at the condo!
