Great location next to shopping and dining. Lovely boardwalk along all resorts in Kaanapali.

Such a great trip! We've stayed in this unit several times now and always been pleased. I especially enjoy having breakfast on the lanai, then walking the short distance down to the beach. The unit is on the north side of the tower, with a well-kept lawn just beyond the lanai, making it feel private. The unit is comfortable and the kitchen cabinets had everything we needed, also I do appreciate that good-sized bathroom counter. The high-backed beach chairs in the closet were much appreciated! Larry is responsive and communication is easy. When arriving at the Whaler and throughout our stay, front desk staff was friendly and professional. Thanks to all, see you next year.

I’ve stayed at the Whaler for many years and the ground floor rentals are always the best! This studio has everything you need and direct access to the beach just steps away. Parking is really easy and private. There’s pickle ball and tennis available as well as beach amenities and a great concierge to help plan. This apartment is clean and comfortable and spacious! We will definitely be back again soon!

Stunning Kā'anapali Beach location, ground level studio, shady & cool semi-private lanai overlooking side gardens only 100 yards or so from the high tide waterline! Complimentary parking: the most convenient is either of the 2 open air overflow lots just inside the gatehouse entry which puts one closest to an outside door to the building. Touchless card key entry to all secured areas of the property, including the gated pool. Amazing views of neighboring East Moloka'i across the channel from the lanai. Note: The complimentary parking does NOT include a 35/day resort fee. Aside from the ubiquitous Pacific Blue, the pool has the perfect temp for lap swimming, particularly right @ opening time each morning @ 0800 h before the resident crowd & before the sun shines directly into the water. Host Larry is highly attentive & welcomed my after-stay suggestions on how he might further enhance this unit another couple more notches. Shared laundry facilities are around the corner in the hall & are also complimetary. (Bring your preferred detergent, if no leftovers in the unit from previous renter.) Garbage chute opposite the laundry room & recycle bins can be found all over the property outside each building entrance. Hundreds of photo ops around the central gardens! You would be very fortunate to be Host Larry's guest here & during your stay to meet Karen @ the entry gatehouse, Mike, Rod, & Joyce @ the Front Desk, & Uncle Nathan, our Hawaiian cultural practitioner! Clean room yes. 1st floor room with kitchen. Location of the Whaler is the best attribute. Close to beach, stores and restaurants. We had a little trouble checking in but was able to work it out. Our 2nd to last day, our access cards quit working, so i had to spend time getting them fixed. Also, didnt realise there was We would stay here again.

This condo was perfect for our anniversary trip! The ground floor location was so convenient for beach/pool access and was also close to the parking garage/elevators. It had everything we needed, and we would love to return!

Larry the owner is great always responds right away! The Whaler could do more to accommodate guests with the money charged for a guest fees! Unfortunate accident put building 1 with no place to socialize at night! No place on earth like ka’anapoli beach!

I appreciate Larry offing his condo for rent, at home the previous 2 weeks I was working outside in -25 degree temperatures, to be able to travel to summer in the middle of winter is great.

Great ground unit. We have stayed at the Whaler 20 plus times. This unit is priced right. Local manager stopped by and asked if we needed anything.

Location and unit. Loved property. Could supply more dishes but overall it’s really great!

Loved the patio and grass area on ground floor and easy access to all of Whaler property, beach, bbq and outdoor seating for meeting friends for self cooked dinner! We even got to take advantage of the pickleball facilities. Studio had plenty of room for two and cooking, kitchen utensils were more than sufficient. Highly recommended!

This affordable condo was in a great location, close to beach and shopping and restaurants. We were able to walk to everything. It was a great value! Will be back.

Property was a great location and so clean. Easy to get to everything needed. Only problem was front desk agent insisted our checkout was Thursday. Went through a few hoops but owners agent was amazing. Thank you

Location location! Been coming here for years now! Larry is always great to message with as is his manager! Couch, new kitchen floors, and maybe a dif color bathroom wall paint would make this top notch! But for the price- it’s AmAZING! We can’t wait to go back!

Fantastic ground level unit literally 1 minute from the ocean. Stayed here 1 week and loved it. Beautiful property meticulously maintained. Fantastic staff. Unit was extremely comfortable and was absolutely perfect for our little group. We know where we want to stay when we come back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this unit at The Whaler. Right at the beach and steps away from Whalers Village. This is the pefect place in Ka'anapali. The Host commicates well and has everything ready for your stay. We will definitely be back here some time in the future.

Loved our stay. This unit is exactly as advertised. There is not a more beautiful property then the Whaler. We rented this property because we were planning on a 16 day stay and this unit made that do-able at a VERY reasonable price. We loved everything even the classic Hawaiian decor. Yes there are things that could be updated-replaced but as the owner made perfectly clear he would then have to raise the price to a less affordable unit. So we will be back and would be happy if everything was left exactly the same especially the price. AND as far as the mattress from other posts....we thought it was perfect and slept GREAT!!! We have been coming 10 plus years due to owner an friends on Maui. Windy this year but no one thinks it’s climate change! We miss Lahaina but we are loyal to supporting locals a the studio just right for the two of us. Whaler has increased their usage fee but understand what’s going on due to fire

We come from a climate with 6 months of winter, to be able to spend a week of summer at Larry's condo in paradise makes it tolerable.

Nice economical place. It is time to replace the bed (mattress soft - but frame/box springs & sheets have served there time).

1st time Staying in this unit at The Whaler. Loved the ease of the 1st floor location and not having to deal with an elevator. This unit was everything as described and the owner is super responsive and very accommodating. Already booked 3 weeks for Jan 2025
