Whaler Tower II - 1 Bedroom Condo with Beautiful Ocean View

The condo was clean and well supplied. They even supplied beach chairs, umbrellas, snorkeling gear, etc. We loved swimming in the ocean and hanging out on the lanai.

Our host had an excellent response time! Beautiful unit with an incredible lani with the best views of the humpback whales playing out front. We will definitely stay again!

The host is always great! The condo is comfortable and has all the things you need. They have made some changes which were nicely received and the condo was definitely cleaner and smelled better than last time we stayed. Great to always be back!

Stayed at this during New Years week 2025/2026.I am familiar with The Whaler having stayed there many times. The property is located right next door to Whaler Village for shopping, dining etc. This unit is in a great spot with balcony views of beach/ocean, Black Rock and pool. Unit is spacious which includes a roll away. The place was clean and had everything needed. Water toys, beach chairs and umbrellas were in the unit along with kitchen/laundry items. The laundry room is literally right next door if you needed it so very convenient. I would definitely book this place again next time I travel to Maui.

We loved the location, all of the extra equipment that the condo had, i.e beach chairs, boogie board. The condo was clean, and while a little on the older side, was the perfect place to stay for 10 days.

We booked this place based on photos and reviews, however feel that neither were accurate. The resort is great, the condo however is dilapidated and dirty. There’s peeling wallpaper throughout the unit, stains on walls and doors in every room, stains on carpets, towels, bedding, and chairs, black mold in the shower and bottom of garbage can, mildew throughout the bathrooms, mold or bugs in the bathroom cracked bathroom lights, huge wrinkles in the carpet throughout, light bulbs that don’t work, sticky floors, beat up trim with chipping paint throughout, dirty dishes left in the drawers, broken lights in the bathroom, chipped mirrors in the bathroom, rust on the fixtures in the bathrooms, and something disgusting behind the toilet. We reached out to VRBO and sent photos the night we arrived, offering to pay for the night but requesting a refund. Also reached out to the owner the following AM, but as soon as I listed our issues to the owner there was no further response from her throughout our week long stay. She did send someone to look at it in person and they agreed it was in disrepair, but we never heard back from anyone. We checked out yesterday and still no resolution from VRBO. Some reviews said the decor was outdated, which we were fine with, as it had a rollaway bed and pull out for the kids. The reviews about cleanliness though are not accurate. Just want to give anyone looking to rent this place a heads up so you don't have to deal with the hassle we are.

We loved the view, cleanliness and all the beach gear that came with the property. Our 4th trip to the Whaler and definitely the best accommodations yet!

The beds and location are exceptional at this condo. The Whaler is our favorite place to stay in Maui. We will be back!

The Whaler is a beautiful property with close access to the beach, restaurants and shopping. Our condo was clean and very nice. We even had beach chairs and snorkel gear. If I had one complaint it was the parking garage which we could rarely find an empty spot during our stay.

Great view, fully equipped for the beach, our family of 4 were comfortable. Condo was more spacious than what we expected. 2 full baths was a bonus. Only thing missing was a regular coffee maker, keurig was available.

Had a great time! Lots of beach things and Alexa to keep the music going! Coffee on the lanai each morning with the view was perfect!

Location excellent!! If you don’t care about the unit decor being updated, this is the perfect place to stay. We enjoyed every aspect of our stay. Aloha

The only place to stay on Kaanapali Beach is the Whaler. It’s our 8th time. This unit was the best value for the money for a one bedroom two bath. The unit is clean and inviting with a perfect view of the court yard and ocean and a piece of Black Rock. Although vintage Whaler decor without upgrades in many years, it is comfortable and relaxing. Unit comes with nice Tommy Bahama chairs and umbrella for the beach along with snorkeling equipment. Sitting on the Lanai in the morning sipping coffee can’t be beat. There are very nice grills in front of both towers, so make sure you use them. We highly recommend this unit as it was $100-$200 less a night vs similar 1 Br 2 bath.

Our stay was wonderful. The property was clean, in a great location and had all the amenities to make our stay perfect. The property owner got back to me immediate with all my questions. We would love to stay here again!
