Commanding a premier 7th-floor "penthouse" location in one of the closest 1BR columns to the ocean at the entire resort, Konea 746 is among the finest one-bedroom suites on offer at Honua Kai. Enjoy gorgeous Pacific Ocean views as well as views of Maui's neighbor islands, Lanai and Molokai.
This unit features a 780 sq ft floor plan, one of the largest at the resort, that includes a spacious bedroom with a king and queen-size bed. Groups of two can enjoy their own bed, or comfortably sleep four. If needed, the sofa in the living room also converts into a queen-size bed to accommodate a party of up to six guests.
The living room and bedroom both have flat-screen TVs to catch your favorite show before you drift off. To fully enjoy the warm Hawaiian breeze, fold away the glass doors to allow the relaxing interior to blend seamlessly with the outdoors. This residence features a series of thoughtful updates, including flooring, upgraded beds in the primary bedroom, a 65" Smart TV, a washer and dryer, modern kitchen appliances, and refreshed décor throughout.
We encourage you to express your culinary creativity in the well-appointed kitchen. The space is fully equipped with stainless steel Bosch appliances and granite countertops, and we have provided every appliance & utensil to prepare the perfect meal or refreshment... just bring the ingredients.
Enjoy your meals on the spacious lanai or dine indoors in the climate-controlled air conditioning. In addition, our commercial-grade Vitamix blender lends itself well to preparing creative libations or smoothies with fresh local produce.
Take pleasure in spending your days at the resort’s three-acre aquatic playground. With four separate swimming pools, a waterslide, waterfalls, fountains, and four hot tubs, there will be no shortage of options for you and your loved ones to enjoy.
When it is time for a bite to eat, Honua Kai is home to the popular Duke’s Beach House, which serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, and cocktails. Duke’s specializes in serving up Hawaiian-inspired cuisine using locally sourced ingredients and freshly caught seafood. Should you wish to enjoy a refreshment by the water, poolside service is available. For coffee, sandwiches, and other grab-and-go items, including beach gear and souvenirs, visit the Whalers General Store conveniently located in the Konea Tower lobby.
A state-of-the-art fitness center is located in the Konea Tower, perfect for guests looking to maintain their workout routine during their stay.
Should you feel like pampering yourself with a refreshing massage or treatment, head to the Mana Ola Spa. This sanctuary within the resort weaves Hawaiian-inspired themes and ingredients into its wide array of signature treatments. Revitalize your senses with a Hawaiian Lomi Lomi Massage, Pohaku Massage, or Purifying Ocean Mineral Facial.
If you wish to avoid excessive baggage fees from the airlines, consider packing lighter and utilizing the washer and dryer in the residence. Fabulous place! Very clean, comfortable beds and amenities were great!
Amazing location with whale views every morning from the balcony. Spacious condo for 2 people. I really enjoyed the relaxing feeling of the resort. Only one drawback was one restaurant on the property that is highly priced. One (less expensive) fast casual option would have been a plus. We would stay here again.
Beautiful condo. Multiple views of the ocean. Definite plus being on the top floor. The grounds are immaculate and gorgeous. The beds were comfortable. We loved that there were two beds in the bedroom. Kitchen had everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again.
We were very impressed with the cleanliness of our condo. The furniture was in great condition, free of stains, etc. The appliances were high end and room came with 3 beach chairs & a cooler. We were very comfortable and would definitely return! Honua Kai itself is in a great location with multiple pools. The restaurant on site (Duke’s) is great! The only downside is the lack of chairs with umbrellas available at the pool.
It was our first family trip in several years, so we had pretty high expectations for our resort. Honua Kai was beautiful and expansive and the location was great for our family of young children. We spent nearly every day at the beach and pools and there were grocery stores, a food truck park, and food options nearby. Not to mention the convenience of having a Whalers General Store in the lobby of our tower. Our condo unit was exactly as it was listed, well appointed and clean. Even with our family of 6, it felt spacious enough for us. Whenever we had a request, the guest services team at Maui Resort Rentals was always quick to respond, via email and phone, which was much appreciated. I also appreciated the regular email updates with info on the resort and individual condo, as well as instructions on how to use all equipment within the unit as we got closer to our trip dates. We’ll definitely be back again!
Great location and accommodation. Towel program is perfect. Room was clean and nice, but badly needed garbage disposal. Pools were ice cold. Ocean was warmer which is good if you like the ocean.
Everything was perfect!
This is probably my 15th visit to Maui. Booked on this part of the island to accommodate my spouse who likes creature comforts and AC. Unit was very clean, well appointed (a real coffee maker!!!) and had everything I needed for stay. The separate living room was nice as was W/D. Service left a bag of coffee which was awesome for AM. There are food trucks and a grocery store as wella s a pizza place within easy walking distance, but not much else within walking distance. Dukes on property is very expensive for dinner. Parking in the underground garage could be tricky; I just parked outside and walked most of the time. Check-in was somewhat cryptic as was check out. The wrist band and key card did not work for the property entrance closer to the building. The gym had a good array of equipment, much better than I expected for a resort gym. If you're doing any activities on the island except from Lahaina (e.g. any north shore activities. Haha, Haleakala, Makena, Makawao) this location is a pretty far drive...as the crow flies, no issues, but island circle road traffic with lane closures takes forever. Add at least 1 hr round trip travel times to what you expect to drive. The beach here is very nice. Not for surfing, but there are some still snorkel spots. Note that this unit is NOT oceanfront. The building is on the ocean, but the unit is on the side of the building with an ocean view. There is another building obstructing half of the ocean view. When booking, best to check a map of the property...and an overhead photo of the area to see what is in front of you.
